This boat tour was amazing! The staff were friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable making the trip a blast! We got beautiful views of the coast and a great inside look at the caves! They took the time to allow us to look and take photos. Plus I got the opportunity to jump off the boat into the sea. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. Do yourself a favour and go if you’re in the area.

We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few points, particularly as this review and the one posted separately by your wife concern the same booking and the same experience.
The characteristics of our boats, including their configuration and the absence of a covered area, are clearly presented on our website before booking. We operate two boats with the same configuration, and each passenger has their own individual seat. We do not provide water or towels on board, as these services are not included in the activity.
Regarding the lack of shade, this is a characteristic of the boat and is not something that can be changed upon arrival. Naturally, it would not have been possible to install a canopy at that moment or modify the boat's configuration on site.
Regarding our staff, we do not recognise the description of their attitude as “brusque”. Our employees simply explained the characteristics of the activity and what could be done at that moment, while remaining professional throughout. We are sorry that the interaction was perceived differently, but we also feel it is important to point out that the way the situation was approached from your side was not particularly cordial either.
We respect your decision not to participate, but we believe an activity should be assessed according to what is actually advertised and provided. The features you mention were available for review before the booking was made.
We respect your opinion and appreciate your feedback. However, we believe it is important to clarify these points so that future customers have an accurate understanding of the experience.

The tour operators were amazing, so accomodating and super nice. The tour guide was hilarious, very knowledgeable and kept checking on us as we had our baby with us.

I would not book with them. We arrived about 30m before they were scheduled to leave but could not find the dock, their booth was empty and nobody was answering the phone. They finally answered about 5m before the scheduled time and say they already left 15 m prior to scheduled time. I asked for another time and they hung up on me. I am now out $350 since we were a family of 7.

We would like to clarify that the ticket clearly states that guests must check in 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. It also provides the exact location of our kiosk, as well as our cancellation and refund policy.
Our boats always depart at the scheduled departure time. On this occasion, there was no one at the kiosk because our staff were assisting and accompanying the customers who were already checked in for the tour.
We always do our best to assist our customers and provide guidance when necessary. Unfortunately, the circumstances described were beyond our control.
As the required check-in time and meeting point information were clearly provided in advance, and in accordance with our cancellation and refund policy, we are unable to offer a refund for the tour.

Opportunity to see up close and to enter caves on a boat. Chance to see dolphins in natural habitat. Guide informative and humorous. Experience was better than anticipated.

Captain was good. Loved having a small boat to go into the caves. Guide was friendly but kept saying the same jokes about Morroco, kayakers were penguins, etc. So jokes got old.

We were a group of 14. Max boat capacity was 27. I liked the smaller boat va the boats that seat 100. 2 hrs was perfect. The surprise aside from the beautiful caves was the opportunity to jump into the ocean for a nice swim! We weren’t expecting it but it sure topped off the tour! I would easily recommend this boat tour and company.

The seats where your feet cannot reach the floor are extremely uncomfortable. The smell of boat diesel approaching and reversing in and out of the caves was 🤢. The guide was cheerful but in all honesty we couldn't wait to get off the boat. The views are pleasant but overcrowded with too many tour boats and kayaking tourists 100's of them!

I regret that you were in the highest seats on the boat as we only have 4 seats with that description, in relation to the smells they did not come from our boat as our engines are 4-stroke gasoline which emit low gas emissions, there are other boats inside the caves which we cannot control, as we are in a tourist area and in high season it is expected that there will be a large influx of people in these same places.

I tried to contact the vendor before the departure because the kiosk are very small and numbers are not really visible he never answered the phone. When finally asking to everyone someone helped us the kiosk was empty. He finally answered 5 min past the departure time and said we lost the trip. I asked if was possible to reschedule later and he didn’t help me out. In addition to it just one cave was available for the whole tour because it was a national swimmer training and most caves were closed and he never informed us when we book. It suppose to be a great trip for my family of 8 but unfortunately this person didn’t provide support

As you can see on your ticket, it has the terms and conditions that inform you that you have to check in 30 minutes before the tour, it has all the information as well as location aids, all other customers arrived on time and without problems , whoever said that only one cave could be done was wrong because the trip was carried out in its entirety with some precautions due to the fact that a swimming test was taking place. Taking this into account and it is not our responsibility for your non-attendance, you are not entitled to a refund or rescheduling of the tour

Breath taking. An absolute must see. We took a boat with Royal Nautic. The water is crystal clear. Just can’t get over how beautiful the full experience was. Bruno and Carlos were amazing. Comfortable and great space between chairs. Bruno was really funny and was a good laugh in the trip. Having a swim after the tour was so cool. We took the kids and we will never forget the experience. Don’t forget to tip at the end. Well deserved.

Fantastic trip and well worth doing. The boat we had was a nice size seating 11 passengers all in separate seats which is why I booked this particular one.
Only downside was the crew were a little over enthusiastic when we just wanted to take in the sights and any information. I don't represent everyone so don't let me put you off.

We were excited for this tour especially that Viator gave them the badge of excellence. The day of our tour, we had some unexpected issues: our train was late from Lisbon to Faro (which was suppose to arrive early morning), the Uber from our hotel (Holiday Inn Algarve - Armacao de Pera), finding the location of the operator, etc. We were running to catch our tour. Our hotel was 35 mins from the meeting point. We had many extenuating circumstances stacked against us so we sent a message to operator to keep them informed about our arrival and when we arrived. We were 5 mins late and the rudeness of the operator was extreme. The boat had just pulled away from the dock when we found them on the dock and we were a group of 6 people. He was not polite nor helpful nor willing to help. We told them we sent messages to inform him of our situation but he plainly did not care. He did not even help us to rebook or anything. He just left us. I do not know how Viator gave them the badge of excellence. We understand that we were 5 mins late but we did not need to be spoken to in a rude manner. We have been running all day trying to catch everything but there are some things out or our hands. We made every effort to communicate and to be on time. So when we were faced with rudeness, we were very upset. We had to book with another company on the spot, SeaDolphins.PT. They were very kind and good tour guides. We strongly recommend them to everyone and not to depend on Viator's badge of excellence in this case. It happened that we pulled into the docking area while our original reservation tour company were docked and about to disembark. We saw that the boat was full which means that they filled our 6 spots with other people. This means not only did they take our money but they also sold our spots as well and that is why they would not ask the boat to return from the dock when we arrived. It was so close to the dock and could have returned but the operator did not want to help us. I contacted Viator and requested a refund due to our extenuating circumstances and tried to work with them to avoid us posting this experience but after several exchanges of emails, we did not get anywhere. So word of caution to everyone, a badge of excellence from Viator should be taken with a grain of salt. I like using Viator very much and other reservations have been wonderful but this one was terrible!

We are sorry about your experience, but we have schedules to keep. We have several boats and the boats where they were supposed to go had their seats free. As you can see on your ticket, you will find the terms and conditions of the tour. The vessels leave at the established time and will not return for customers who arrive late.
You have all the information available on your ticket to get you to the check-in location.

Beautiful boat trip along the caves and waters. Fun crew with great stories (in multiple languages). Smaller sized boat so everyone could see everything and we would fit inside the smaller caves. Captain even allowed for a quick 5 min pause to dive into the water. Could not recommend it more, easy service, amazing afternoon spent and created beautiful memories - OBRIGADO!
