Be warned you must download the PDF or they will not let you in. My wallet does not work and we could not find the PDF option until we left

Ticket Voucher .pdf not accepted by Ticket Office - so had to repurchase to visit tower and cathedral

We booked 3 experiences in Italy through Viator and all 3 were very poor. Rome - Coliseum - the guy showed up late & was not identifiable. Pisa - voucher Wallet nor PDF Voucher accepted. Had to repurchase. Florence- tickets sold for UFFIZI museum on a day when admission was FREE. Save your $$$ and avoid VIATOR.,

It’s not just about the tower - but it mainly is..

It’s about more than just the tower - but it’s worth seeing and climbing the tower if you do nothing else. It’s worth noting that you can’t take a bag into the tower, but there are storage facilities. The just wouldn’t be room in the tower for people to pass on the stairs. The area around the cathedral, which includes the tower, is beautifully presented, and gives the opportunity to see some lovely architecture and to experience some real history in a very walkable environment. The streets around the main area also have some really nice restaurants and gift shops, and there are other, less well known attractions, such as the botanical gardens just a stones throw away from the main area.
