Fabulous Tour

Our tour guide, Andrea, was a knowledgeable, colorful and friendly guide who made the whole experience fabulous. He took us to San Gimignano, a medieval town dubbed Medieval Manhattan for its 14 standing towers. This walled city on a hill has stunning architecture with postcard-like picture potential around every corner. Then we travelled to the wine tour. Andrea, a full fledged Somalier shared the history and wine making process, carefully describing each wine and its paring. His depth of knowledge, along with our host made the wine tour at Cantine Guidi fabulous. This smaller, 5th generation family-owned winery produces excellent Chianti Classico, Brunello, Vernaccia and other wines. They are all terrific wines. This tour experience with Andrea was a highlight of our trip!
