It was a rainy day and Nicola did a great job rearranging the order of our tour to accommodate the weather. His English was very good. As a geologist he was very knowledgeable about marble and the mining process both now and in ancient times. My first experience with Lardo, tasted good if you didn't think about what you were eating. Tour of Carrara at the end was a great finish. It is definitely the Marble City. Would recommend his tour. He was a great guide.

We had a very interesting and fascinating excursion to the Carrara marble quarries. Our guide Nicola is very knowledged, kind person and left no questions open about all historic and today meaning of the importance of processing marble. Besides him as a great host for this tour the entry in the world of stone exploration is absolutely amazing and a big win for every vacation. Also a nice shop with hand made products is available everting produced locally. One thing to mention is that we would not recommend the tour with small children because of the high costs which is not reduced.

Excellent tour and wonderful guide! Nicola was great during the whole trip - he showed us all the important landmarks and thoroughly answered all our questions. He even allowed our dog to come with us during the whole thing. Highly recommended!

For starters, Nicola is a fantastic guide. He and his family are involved in the marble business and he himself studied geology, so any marble or quarry related questions you have, he has an answer for. Even if you don’t have questions he has the answers! I learned way more than I expected to from this tour and it was a truly enjoyable experience. He is also committed to his guests in a way I haven’t seen on other tours and truly went the extra mile to help some art students find tools they were unable to find in their home country. Overall, Carrara itself is charming and worth a visit and Nicola’s tour of the town, surrounding areas, and the quarries is a must do in my opinion

Ende April 2023 Wir hatten mit Nicola einen super guten Reiseführer. Mit seinem großen Wissen hat er uns jede Frage beantwortet!! Leider ging die Zeit in den Marmor-Steinbrüchen viel zu schnell vorbei. Die Zeit für den anschließende Stadtrundgang würden wir das nächste mal lieber im Steinbruch verbringen.
