A great day despite all the museums (including the volcanoe house) being closed as it was a Monday. However we saw some amazing scenery and visited the whale factory that is a museum now and open!

This is the best tour to truly experience Pico Island! You’ll get to see places that most visitors never reach, including incredible up-close views of the caldeiras and stunning landscapes all around.
Filip is an outstanding guide — so knowledgeable about the island’s history, culture, and especially its unique plants. 🌿 His passion really brings Pico to life!
Lunch was an amazing experience and such a special part of the day — delicious local food and wine, perfectly planned. 🍷🍽️
Everything ran smoothly from start to finish — we met right at the pier where the ferry arrives, and Filip was there waiting for us promptly. Highly recommend this tour if you want an authentic, unforgettable Pico adventure!

It was a generally good experiance where we learned a lot about Pico island and the rest of the islands.
I wish we had a dip in the natrural pools as part of the experiance.

Philip was friendly and informative! He spoke English well and selected activities and locations to keep the whole family interested and engaged. Lunch was delicious and pickup and drop off at the ferry was convenient. We shared our tour with a lovely couple from New York/Lisbon and thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Filippe was a wonderful tour guide. He took us to a whaling museum, a volcano simulator, a walk through a vineyard, and other spots. Lunch was a buffet at a local restaurant. We tasted local cornbread and cheeses. Lunch included wine and dessert!

Our tour guide was Filipe. Our ferry from Horta was delayed so we were late for about 15 minutes. The weather was cloudy and it was going to be rainy, so Filipe rearranged our schedule for the day, to have outdoor activities first. Good lunch is included in price. Filipe knows well the Pico island and shared with us lots of interesting facts. We were lucky to find Monstera Deliciosa fruit and tried it, it tasted like pina colada. If you’re still thinking - don’t think and just book this tour and enjoy!

We enjoyed our time spent with tour guide/owner Felipe. His expert knowledge of Pico island, UNESCO vineyards, and local wines was very much appreciated. Lunch was included at a wonderful, local restaurant. The Gruta das Torres -(Lava Tube) tour was fascinating as well. Truly spectacular day!

This was a great tour and we were able to see many things on the tour. I would highly recommend. The tour guide was great and seeing the island of Pico was a once in a lifetime trip. The tour guide went out of his way to make the tour great!

Good trip around some local sights. Caves and lunch were good.
Only negative issue was that the guide was talking in the Land Rover and it was difficult for those in the back to hear.

Meeting point was outside of ferry terminal. It was extremely busy location with people & vehicles, and we had no idea where to find the tour group. Signs would help? The tour was ok. At one point we came to a stop on road. Tour guide told us to observe Japanese Cedars and then we had an option to walk the route through a forest, or drive it. All of us walked it. Enjoyed the vineyard views and walk through the coastal villages by the lava rock. Lunch was really good. Last stop was Grotto Das Torres. We had no idea what a walk through a lava tube entailed. We were checked in by guide, and then he told us he was leaving to take other clients to a wine tasting. We felt a bit “lost” on next steps or how long we had to wait for tour to start. Little communication. There is no water available to purchase. Bring!!!
The day was ok. I would suggest to provide more information on what is happening next, prior to next stop. Provide water for clients. It was a really hot day. Thanks.

Very friendly and informative guide with decent English. Pico mountain was not cooperating as there was always some form of cloud covering its peak.
Good meal.
We started early and finished sooner leaving us plenty of time to catch our evening boat to São Jorge.

Gabriel war ein sehr guter Reiseführer. Er fuhr sehr sicher und zeigte uns ohne Hektik die schönsten Plätze. Die Tour war fantastisch organisiert und mit vielen interessanten Höhepunkten gespickt. Den Lavatunnel konnten wir zwar nicht besichtigen, dafür konnten wir im Lava Center die Erfahrung machen, wie sich ein Erdbeben anfühlt. Mit VR-Brillen ausgestattet, erlebten wir auf einer Art Rüttelplatte ein Beben bis Stärke 7. Unfassbar, wenn man sich da auf den Beinen halten möchte. Gabriel wählte auch eine fantastische Lokalität für das Mittagessen aus. Ein reichhaltiges Buffett mit Nachspeise ließ keine Wünsche offen. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Tag. Diese Tour ist eine echte Empfehlung.
