On this full-day outing, climb the mountain and sleeping volcano with a professional, certified Pico Mountain guide belonging to the Association of Azores Mountain Guides. It’s a 5-mile (8 kilometers) hike to the top at 7700 feet (2350 meters), with your guide watching out for the proper routes and your safety and well-being.

This experience combines some of Pico Island’s most authentic landscapes, including trails, volcanic landscapes, traditional vineyards and sea views. Participants will walk along the mountain trail, visit the Vineyard area of the Old Creation and enjoy a special lunch. When the weather allows, lunch will be served abroad as a picnic with finger food. If the weather conditions are not favorable, it will be held in a restaurant. After lunch, guests will have a wine taste, followed by a little surprise before the return and completion of the tour.

Meeting at the "Mountain House", if you do not want "transfer included", it is time to check if we all have the proper equipment, protection, food, water and of course, the camera. Our guide will accompany you along a trail, much of it in very irregular volcanic rock, which will require some effort and care. . Reaching the summit, the effort is rewarded by breathtaking, breathtaking landscapes. First the crater, then the last stage: the Piquinho. This, with its 70 m high, will give more "fight" but inevitable to achieve the goal: 2351 m altitude, the highest point of the island of Pico, the Azores and Portugal.
