Natalie was very knowledgeable and friendly and created a very personal experience for us! It was a wonderful day! Vadim was a very professional driver and he knew how to manage the traffic. This trip is a great way to experience Normandy and Mont Saint Michel from Paris when you only have one very long day.

We booked the day trip to Normandy - Omaha Beach/ American cemetery / Museum and Mt Saint Micheal. David was our tour guide and he is a brilliant young French historian who kindly personalized our tour to be more focused on war history per our request. He and the very safe driver, offered many comfort breaks and let us decide on the pace of the activities. We learned so much from David and truly enjoyed his calm easy going demeanor and ability to connect well with our young adult kids even with our jet lag. David even explained many details regarding local etiquette and gave space at times where appropriate. The van was very comfortable and the lunch stop at Omaha beach was very good. It was a long day as expected to see so much but we loved every minute. Thank you!! We will definitely request David on a future tour.

This is a good way to combine two destinations in one long day. I could not give five stars for one reason only. Our driver was excellent but did not speak any English. This tour was booked as English speaking, Viator did nothing to resolve this when it was brought to their attention.

We would like to clarify that this tour is available in two formats: a fully guided experience with a professional English-speaking guide throughout the day, and a driver-only option, which includes transportation and an English-guided visit inside Mont Saint-Michel Abbey. In this case, the driver-only option was selected.
Our drivers operate this route several times per week and ensure a smooth and well-organized journey over a long-distance itinerary of more than 800 km in one day, providing a safe and comfortable experience in Mercedes vehicles. They assist with timing, stops, tickets, and overall logistics. They communicate in basic English for practical purposes, but they do not provide full guiding services.

Our driver Umi arrived a few minutes early in front of our hotel in downtown Paris. Umi’s English was quite limited, he was from Chechnya. We had a quick bathroom stop about halfway on a 3.5 hour drive to Normandy. Short visit (25-30 minutes) to the Operation Overlord Museum, which was pretty good and gave a good refresher for D-Day presentations and execution. Then to the American Cemetery and D-Day Memorial, which should be a. mandatory visit for every American. Had about an hour there, then to Omaha Beach Memorial and lunch right near the monumen right on the beach. From there a 1.5 hour drive to Mont St Michel, which was fantastic. Shut bus from visitors center to the site. The Abbey tour is provided as an audio/visual guide as you wind your way through the holy building. We walked back 1.5 miles from Mont St Michel to the parking lot where our driver waited for us. 4 hour drive home

We had a full day itinerary to Normandy and Mont St Michel. It was a perfect day but you need to stay on track with your timing especially if there it traffic. Our guide, Igor, had the day timed to the minute and he was exceptional.

Our guide Helen was extremely knowledgable of both Normandy and Saint-Michael. Clearly she has done her homework as she provided interesting tidbits into the history of both places. Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Helen. Note that if you want an in-depth tour of Normandy, this is not for you. Gor us it was a perfect balance with more tome at Saint-Michel. Great tour! Call out to our driver Roman who navigated the streets of Paris and the freeways to our tour site like a pro.

Ilya was an expert tour guide, specializing in castles. He was friendly, respectful and accommodating. We were picked up at our hotel, and after approximately 3.5 hours we arrived at the Overlord Museum, very informative and complete. He then guided us through our very solemn journey of the peaceful Omaha Cemetery and the beach. It was a day filled with reflection as we paid our respects to all the fallen soldiers. We had lunch, then concluded the visit of this region of France by visiting Mt Saint Michel- a true magical time travel destination. We encountered lots of steep climbing and stairs- all worth it, as we explored all of the secrets and magical views this place holds. The driver was very cautious and we felt in good hands throughout our drive from Paris to Normandy and back, with breaks along the way. Great job. One drawback is that one cannot eat/snack in the van- which was, in my opinion, not ideal because it is a long drive, but I thought, while inconvenient, there were some opportunities to get a quick, very quick, snack from a gas station.
We will visit again and look for you!

Long day (14+ hours) but it was so convenient to be picked up at our hotel at a reasonable departure time of 7:30AM. I read that most tours leave from a central departure point at 6:30AM. We had time for breakfast and coffee and did not feel exhausted. We also loved having a private driver and a private tour guide. The car was a luxurious Mercedes and our driver was so competent
maneuvering on both narrow, winding, Normandy country roads and powering rapidly on the highways. There is no way you could go on a tour with a big busload of 40-50 people, and visit both the D-Day sights and Mont St. Michel! It would require two days. I had always dreamed of visiting both, but only had one day free. This private car service and tour allowed us to really cover a huge distance and see everything we wanted to see. Our tour guide, Valentin, explained the different architectural periods and design phases that shaped Mont St. Michel. He is an art historian and has a deep knowledge and passion for Mont St. Michel. It is a real climb to reach the Abbey at the top. Valentin knew the route up like a sherpa, taking us via a secret stairwell. He stopped periodically, sharing his knowledge and providing excellent service all day. I highly, highly recommend this tour. Five Stars. It is a great value when you compare it to taking two separate, full-day tours. We also had a great lunch in Normandy, multiple rest stops, and never felt rushed. It was really peaceful to look out the window, watching the amazing French countryside. Go on it and say hi to Valentin, if he happens to be your guide. He is a wonderful host and tour guide. Overall, it was worth it to see the Normandy D-Day Museum, cemetery, and beaches, as well, as Mont Saint-Michel; however, it was an exhausting day. Initially, Viator said my hotel was out of the pick-up area, but when I contacted them, they said not to worry, they would pick us up at our hotel. Roman was our driver. His English seemed more limited than other guides we have had, but it was better than my extremely limited French. He knew enough for us to understand him. He was sweet and patient, always letting us know what time to meet him and where. He was very good communicating through text messages while we were returning to meet back up with him. He was good at keeping us informed of the itinerary and made good time finding a rest stop along the freeway on the way back to Paris. He also found us a nice place for lunch near Omaha beach, as Mont St. Michel would be very crowded.
This next part has nothing to do with Viator or Roman, our guide, but speaks to the level of activity of this trip. This is a fast past trip. You see everything you are meant to see, but except for a restroom break, there is no time to explore on your own. The walk down from Mont Saint-Michel had some free time to use the bathroom (at the exit/entrance) and grab some ice cream, but not much else. Normandy D-Day locations are mostly flat, but the tour for Mont Saint-Michel starts at the top. It is a gradual incline that gets steeper until it turns to stairs … 350 steps to the top. If we could leisurely make our way to the top, it wouldn’t have been a problem. The problem was the tour was starting soon so it felt like we had to sprint up the incline and stairs all the way to the top within 10 minutes. It could have been longer than 10 minutes, regardless of the time, it was too fast for me. Unfortunately, our guide for Mont Saint-Michel was soft soften and added to the noise from other tourists and the echo in the chambers, I couldn’t hear a word he said … which was okay, as I was still guzzling water and trying not to die from my sprint to the top. If you have a packed week of sightseeing in Paris like we did, you might want to give yourself a day of rest after this trip. Overall, our tour guide and the trip were great! It is a great way to see two iconic places hours away from Paris. Just be aware it is a very long day and there are a lot of steps involved.

Highly recommend this excursion if you want to squeeze these two amazing sites into a single day. While it was a very long day, it was absolutely worth it, especially if you do not have the time to do each site on separate days. However, due to the compacted schedule you will not have very much time at each of the D-Day sites. If those sites are really important to you then I would recommend doing a D-Day only tour. Another thing to keep in mind is the driver is just a driver and not a tour guide. Our driver was Ivan and he was fantastic. Took great care of us, got us to and from all the sites safely and connected us with all the site tour guides effectively. It's important to understand that other tours will have a driver and a licensed guide or a driver that is also a licensed guide that spend the entire drive time talking about the surrounding areas and destination. This excursion is not that. We got a fantastic driver who connected us up with the sites and the guides there (including a private guide at Mont St Michel). Highly recommended if you understand the structure of the excursion.

The American Military Cemetery Was particularly moving. There were several visitors there when we arrived and they were obviously moved. Mont Saint Michel Is spectacular and much more impressive than portrayed Very very nice In pictures. My wife and I have Ismobility issues and only visited Iower portions Mont San Michel. There were plenty of things to see and do at that level.
Our tour guide Ruzty was phenomenal. We spent The entire day from 7:30 a.m. To 10:00 p.m. with him. He clearly knew The history And understood Some of the subtleties Of the D-Day invasion. He brought The history of Mont San Michel to life.
We selected this tour because we knew there was limited time for us to visit the destination sites. The day was long but more than well worth it.

This was a great trip, even if it made for a very long day. Our guide, Helen, communicated with me the day prior to confirm the tour and to ensure I had her contact info. We got picked up promptly at the agreed upon time. Had plenty of stops for bathroom and snacks. Started at the Overlord Museum, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery. Helen was happy to answer questions but mostly allowed us to take it all in - the museums have a lot of good info. Then we headed to Mont Saint-Michel, with a lunch stop on the way. Here, Helen really brought the space to life and provided tons of interesting information. We stopped again on the way back to Paris for bathroom and snacks. Great tour - would recommend.

Normandy and Mont Saint-Michel should not be missed. Wonderful places in France and a Must Do. We were supposed to have an English speaking guide which we did at Mont Saint-Michel but the driver and Normandy - No. That was a little disappointing.
