Get to experience the most beautiful country side on an ebike, followed by delicious fresh produce from a local market which we then enjoyed as a picnic in the grounds of Versailles.

We really enjoyed this trek with e-bikes. Lovely journey first through Paris, a French neighborhood, a wooded area and then on to Versailles where we purchased lunch at a market and had a picnic by the water in the amazing garden. Super romantic location…doesn’t get better! Went to the petit palace and the grand palace. This is a full day!! Don’t miss the garden at the grand palace. Stunning!!

Renaud was our guide and he was fantastic. He kept track of all of our group of 14 and made sure we were all clear on our instructions. He also gave nice little history lessons along our ride about our stops. The market was a highlight and we had a super delicious picnic along the Grand Canal. If you’re from the States, the produce you get is just more fresh than what we usually get at home. Requires moderate fitness level for sure and the ability to ride a bicycle in urban settings and on cobblestone and forest paths. We had a wonderful time and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience an active way to explore Versailles and the more rural/countryside views from Paris.

This was a unique guided tour, starting from western Paris and joining bike commuters in the morning as we made our way out of town, through parks, and up into the hills. Expect limited (but well-considered) tour-guide-talk, and lots of biking as this tour takes advantage of the range of e-bikes to take indirect paths that let you see the areas where many mansions and palaces once stood, and then all around the parks and grounds of Versailles. If you know the good feeling you get having covered a lot of ground on a bike, and appreciate really being able experience in the way Versailles is situated away from the city experientially (which sets you up nicely to understand the troubles the disconnected monarchs got themselves into with the Revolution), this is a special tour worth considering. The only possible disappointment if you're not expecting is is that this biking-first, talking-light. Don't expect long and highly informative verbal essays on history, culture and architecture. This is about being there and experiencing the area on a bike, with sufficient but not extensive narration.

This was a great way to see some of Paris and countryside on the way to Versailles. And we had lots of time to explore Versailles as well. Renoir, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout!

Great tour! I went with both of my parents on this tour. We were all very exhausted after, as it is a long day, and needed a sitting break at a cafe before we went into the palace on our own. The e-bikes were easy to use, and the trails we went on were nice. Be prepared for some bumpy cobblestone though. The stop at the market was lovely, and the picnic outside Versailles was great. We loved this tour, but come well rested and ready to bike a long distance. We weren’t sore from the ride itself, as the pedal-assist was very nice, but it is still a tiring day. Would recommend this tour over a regular bike tour in Versailles, I think we got to see a lot of the beautiful countryside along the way that we would have missed otherwise!

It’s an exercise day, biking and walking throughout the day. We really enjoyed the e-bike tour, Adrian was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and shared historical sites along the way to Versailles, as well he shared much about the palace and the many gardens. Our group was larger than expected but he managed the group well. We had some light rain, rain gear was provided, which was nice.

Rio was a great guide. Kept us safe and was very patient with us. This was a great way to see the city and outside of the city. The stop at the market was fun and we had time to shop for our lunch. Back on the bikes and we had a picnic lunch looking at the palace and it was perfect. Wine and bread and cheese from the shops - it was a great experience. The top of the hill overlooking Paris was a great photo opportunity. Thanks Rio for an unforgettable day.

What an amazing experience. The E-bikes were newer and very easy to ride. Our guide (Reno) was absolutely amazing. So much fun and knowledgeable. Please know this is a very long day! It is every bit 8 hours or more by the time we got to the main palace of Versailles we didn’t want to spend much time there. However we spent just enough time and the headed out and back to Paris. I highly recommend this tour if you are active.

A great way to see the countryside outside of Paris. It was great to stop at places that even Parisians don’t go to on our way to Versailles. Stopping at the open market to get food for our picnic was very special. Renault our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly! Great tour!

We had an amazing tour today! Overall it was about 8 1/2 hours with our guide, including the picnic and market shopping.
Our ride through the city and throughout the French countryside on our way to Versailles was fabulous! The market where we stopped to shop for lunch was more than I could have expected. It reminded me of La Boqueria in Barcelona but so much better! The fresh fruit and vegetables! Delicious!
Smart tip … bring some Euros to buy your food as the cost will be half compared to putting it on credit card. It cost us approx. 30 Euros buying meats, cheeses, veggies, fruit and bread at the various stalls.
The picnic in the park just outside Versailles is worth the bike ride alone.
Our guide gave us instructions to get through the Versailles gates and that’s where we parted. As usual Versailles is CROWDED, and we blew through in a little under an hour (we aren’t the stop and gawk type).
The train ride back to Paris, about 25-30 minutes, was simple and it was about a 1 1/2 walkable mile from our hotel in Arrondissement 8.
Overall highly recommend and would 1000% do this again, just for the ride. 🤗

This was one of our favorite activities during our recent trip to Paris - it is a fabulous way to see sites outside of the city that we would never have known about otherwise. Adrian was a great tour guide and the e-bikes made the distance super easy. We had a little rain, but it wasn’t bad at all and the rain covers provided were a huge plus (we used them as blankets to sit on for the picnic). The only downside was that we had dinner reservations back in the city and had to head back soon after the guide dropped us for the palace visit. I would recommend planning to stay until the palace and grounds close so you can explore even more!

What a great tour this was... The E-Bikes were great and made cycling a lot easier. The path to Versailles was fun, especially going through the forest away from the traffic of the city. My absolute very part was the visit to the Farmer's Market where we had an hour to buy food/drink for a picnic. After getting our goodies, we rode to the most beautiful spot to relax and have a picnic - magical! Afterwards, we had the option to go into the Palace of Versailles. We sadly did not get to utilize our included Palace ticket as it was so busy and the line was too long to get it. So we returned to Paris via the train ticket provided as part of this tour. Bottom line - take this tour - it was great!

This bike tour was incredible and a highlight of our time in Paris! The scenic bike tour was more enjoyable than the palace itself. Renaud is a great guide. The excursion includes the ebike tour, tickets to the Palace of Versailles and the Petit Trianon, and a one-way train ticket back to Paris. Save your stomach for the delicious foods at the Notre Dame market, where you’ll pick up food for lunch to enjoy picnic style at the gardens of Versailles. Renaud provides a blanket, but pack your own disposable cutlery/plates for added comfort. This activity definitely takes the whole day from start to finish and you will be tired at the end of the day, but it was worth every penny.

Most unique and fun way to see Versailles! It was surprisingly so easy to bike from paris, and along the way we saw the best views with lots of history. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a day trip from paris!!
