We would highly recommend this trip. It was a truly memorable day guided by Shane. The stop at the cultural village was delightful and we learned so much about village life and got to taste a delicious lunch prepared and cooked for us. Best vegetables ever. Our guide and driver were very caring and took us to some very scenic and interesting locations. It was definitely a highlight of our cruise.

The road to East Cape has...

The road to East Cape has lots of construction and travels through a lot of small villages. English is the common language, so speaking to many locals is easier.

    Disappointing and very disappointing!

We had very bad experience. It was not private tour. They even didn’t have the private cars waiting for you on the shore next to the ship it was only old old buses which fit 10 people, and I was in one of those.! it’s not much to see on the island even woman who was our guide was very nice, she tried very hard to make our trip pleasant. But I am planning to call Viator and talk about that tour.

The tour guide never showed up. We didn’t go on the tour. We called the tour operators number and Viator office. We didn’t go on speaker to the people at Viator they attempted to contact the tour operators number with no luck as well.

Very disappointing tour! Do not book!

Very disappointing tour for the price of it. 5 hours sitting in the back of a truck, no food provided, no waterfalls, no canoeing or snorkeling, saw a skull cave but had to pay $5 to take a photo, no Birdlife or trekking, did go to a local village to see local medicine. At this stage we were all hungry but local guide didn't seem to know about lunch or the other parts of the tour. Very disappointed! A total waste of money. Would not recommend.

I felt that the tour was overpriced and we seemed to have paid more than other passengers. The vehicle was small and dirty and not comfortable.

Really interesting day! A great way to experience Alotau and its surroundings safely with a local English speaking guide who is well informed and from a local company! Don’t forget your bathers if you would like to enjoy a swim.
