Our only concern with the trip was that 1-travel should factor in the beach chairs with pricing. It was a slight disappointment when we found out we would need to spend an additional €80 for beach chairs.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Please take a closer look at the What’s Included section of the tour description, where you will find among the exclusions: “Sun beds, chairs, food, beverages” Please note that sun beds and chairs are not a must but optional, while access to the beach itself is free. As for chair rental prices, these depend on the exact location and are comparable to rates at many popular beaches elsewhere — including in the US, where complimentary beach chairs are certainly not something I have personally encountered. 😊
For future Viator bookings, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the clearly listed inclusions and exclusions rather than on personal assumptions.
Safe travels!
This tour was a disaster from the very beginning. The operator messaged us to let know the tour would start between 9:15-9:30. We waited in the hot sun for her. By 9:45 she had no idea the bus was actuallly there. That was just the start. It was a disorganized mess the entire day and we ended up returning to our ship over 45 minutes late which didn’t give us a lot of time to catch the tender back.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We regret to hear about your disappointment, which, according to our port tour coordinator, appeared from the very beginning to have stemmed from an expectation of a private tour. Please note that private tours are clearly labeled as PRIVATE and generally cost at least three times more than a standard shared experience.
You booked a regular shared tour, which includes up to 30 minutes for collecting cruise passengers, exactly as stated in the Meeting and Pickup section of the activity description. If waiting for fellow cruisers to disembark is not suitable for you, we kindly recommend choosing private vs shared tours.
The advertised tour duration is 6 hours, and all participants were returned to the port 2 hours before your ship’s departure.
For future Viator bookings, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions.
Safe and happy cruises!
Great excision! The beach was perfect and a quick ride from the port. Beach was beautiful and service was great. Ride back to town was quick, we stayed longer and took water bus back to the ship. Great experience and wonderful day in Mykonos!
What a beautiful adventure- everything was perfect! Our granddaughters enjoyed everything as well- super all around.
Beautiful day split between beach time and exploring Mykonos town. "Elsa" was engaging and informative.....kept apologizing for the intensely windy day!
Awesome experience, the bus ride was relaxing. The beach resort was nice and relaxing. But not happy having to pay 10 euros for a beach towel per person and 70 euros per person to tent a lounge chair. Other than that, the whole experience was satisfying.
Finally, the good food we’ve been waiting for the entire trip!!! this tour was hosted by an Italian New Yorker, who met the love of her life and became a citizen. She was the only one that gave us good instructions on where to eat instead of sending us to her cousin’s store. lol
If you happen to be lucky enough to get her, you can know that you can trust her. Leave the ship early if you are a cruiser it is not close like you will think it is.
Told about history of island and how things have changed. Very knowlegeable and friendly well worth toe trip.
We really enjoyed this excursion. Gave us plenty of time at the beach and to go into town as well. Our guide was great and gave us honest feedback on different places, including various pricing of beach chairs etc. the water is the clearest I have ever seen!
We had the BEST time. I'd recommend this one for sure. Our guide, Dora (the explorer!), was amazing and so was our driver! The beach was beautiful. But truly listening to Dora tell us all about the island and then getting to play at the beach was great. Also, I found a bunch of super cool sea glass!
Instructions could have been better. We couldn’t find the lady because we’re looking for someone with a sign but she ended up having this tiny 5x7 flag. The beach is beautiful. The negative is , it’s basically exploration of tourist. You go to basically a private beach resort, pay for the beach chairs, overpriced drinks and mediocre food. Then annoyed by all the people trying to sale you junk. Last stop is the town for you to spend more money, which team me is backwards. No one wants to walk around town in a bathing suit after being on a beach in the sun for hours. The town should be first, then the beach. Other than that, nothing too impressive. Definitely overpriced! Better off taking a taxi to the beach.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for your feedback. From our perspective, there is nothing easier than walking from the ship to the port gate and finding a large sign right outside, but for some travelling individuals, this mission is impossible. 😊
If you are against spending money on vacation, please note that chairs, drinks, food, and other items are optional and not an obligation to buy at all. By the way, remembering myself on famous beaches in different U.S. states, I cannot recall complimentary chairs, food, and beverages at all. Maybe I chose the wrong beaches when in the U.S. please advise
Before recommending using taxis in Mykonos, please try the same routes yourself, make calculation and only then suggest this to fellow cruisers.
This is one of the most affordable tours in Mykonos, one of the most expensive destinations in Greece.
Safe travels — and happy saving!
I was nervous when I was reading some of the recent reviews, but we had an AMAZING experience! There were no surprises, the listing was very clear what was included and what was not. We were picked up promptly right at our cruise ship terminal, taken to a lovely beach club, then brought into town and then returned back to the port. Andrea was our tour guide and she was informative and kind. Overall a really wonderful experience and I got to have a beautiful taste of Mykonos and I can’t wait to come back!
This was a wonderful experience and even better than the excursion offered by the cruise ship. The tour started promptly. The directions to meet the tour guide were perfect. The beach club was beautiful. Keep in mind the chair/umbrella rental can be pricey if you’re on a budget. It’s $70 EU for a pair. The drink prices were a little high but it was to be expected because it wasn’t all-inclusive. After 3 hours on the beautiful beach we were bussed to the small town in Mykonos. It was the perfect weather. We appreciated the wind. We had the perfect lunch at Calma where I ate the Sea Bass. So far the best meal of my cruise. This tour is highly recommended.
The beach was beautiful and the staff members were very nice, but you could have taken a cab out to the beach and to old town and you would come out better. They do take you to the beach and then they take you to old town harbor and drop you off. They do NOT take you to old town and then back to your harbor. They took us to the old town port and told us we could either get a trip back right then to the original port or we could get out there and take the sea bus for 2.50 euros. Just get a cab to the beach and back, save your money.

Thank you for your kind words about the beach and our team members. Before recommending alternative options to others, we kindly suggest trying them personally first. A taxi ride to this beach alone would cost more than the full price of this tour, saying nothing of any additional services and Old Town exploration.
We do provide a return transfer from town to the port immediately after the 6-hour tour duration ends. Guests who wish to extend their stay in town are welcome to do so and may return independently by port shuttle for EUR 2.50.If returning independently was not suitable for your travel budget, you were welcome to return with us at the scheduled time, as we are unable to extend the total tour duration.
Safe travels.
Really expensive tour for what you get basically just the bus to and from the beach. Could pay less for a private taxi
Response from Host, Jun 2026
A round-trip taxi to the beach alone would cost you more, not to mention the additional value of having personal assistance and an Old Town exploration included. This is one of the cheapest rates you can find in Mykonos, which is a world-famous travel destination and one of the most expensive places in Greece.
Safe travels!
This tour is not worth the money. The beach itself has no atmosphere, no music, and no entertainment. It felt completely dead, and on top of that, you have to pay extra for almost everything.
In reality, this tour is nothing more than transportation to the beach and then a drop off near Mykonos Town. Since Mykonos Town is right next to the port and easily walkable, there is very little added value in booking this excursion.
I would recommend using alternative transportation and visiting the beach or Mykonos Town on your own. The tour does not provide any meaningful experience beyond the ride itself, and the cost is difficult to justify.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
We believe your disappointment may stem from basing your expectations on personal assumptions rather than on the activity description, which clearly states that entertainment, music, sunbeds, drinks, food, and similar services are not included.
Before recommending alternative transportation, we would kindly suggest experiencing it yourself first. Even a taxi ride to one of the best beaches in Mykonos would cost more than the price of this activity, not to mention that this activity also includes personal assistance and Old Town exploration.
Of course, you may explore the Old Town on foot by using the cruise ship shuttle; however, please note that there are no beaches in town.
We are not sure what the usual price standards are in your home country Panama, but by Mykonian standards, this activity is considered very affordable.
Safe travels!
Elia Beach is absolutely beautiful. You have the option to rent loungers with an umbrella if you’d like for about 500-100 euros. Or sit in the sand for free. Wonderful restaurant and waiters there as well. Mykonos Town is beautiful it’s fun to get lost in all the winding alleys. Plenty of food and drink options.
This was the absolute low point of our Cruise. We were told to meet our driver between 9:15-9:30. We arrived at 9:34 due to a young child having a bathroom issue. (I have the phone records to prove it) I had spoken to the operator and told her we were on our way. The bus had left entirely without us by 9:30. They would not refund us or send someone to pick us up. We ended up taking a private Taxi to the same beach. It was only 10€ per person and we were able to spend more than 2 hours at beautiful Elia beach. Also there is a water Taxi from where the cruise ships dock that can take you to town for only 5€ round trip that leaves every 15 minutes rather than taking the bus on a 40 minute ride on bumpy back roads. All together you can do this same thing on our own timing for 20€ and have a much more enjoyable time on your schedule. There were tons of taxis waiting to take people wherever you want to go. This does not include the beach chairs at Elia which are a must and the ‘personal attendant’ is not from the company it’s just the chair attendants at Elia. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME!!!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
We regret to hear that you missed the tour. Even if you type your entire feedback in capital letters, it will not change the fact that we have successfully served thousands of cruise passengers each cruise season for the last 25 years.
Please note that you booked a shared tour, not a private flexible tour as you may have expected. Shared tours depart on time, as other guests should not be expected to waste their limited time waiting while your children use the bathroom, purchase ice cream, or play around.
When booking a shared experience, you are expected to respect all other participants who arrived by 9:15 sharp and departed on time. Meanwhile, you repeatedly informed our tour coordinator for over half an hour that you were “almost there arriving by tender".
Thank you for advertising the local water taxi services, you could have saved even the mentioned €5 by remaining on your cruise ship, where chairs, towels, and even food are included.
Safe and happy travels!
Timely arrival and departure of bus as advertised. Back to ship on time. Should advertise that chairs at the beach are 25-35$ each to rent. Also nude beach just down the way. Several nude women ventured down to where the families were. Tour guide and bus driver nice and friendly.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about our guide and driver.
Please note that sunbeds, chairs, food, and beverages are clearly listed among the tour exclusions. The average cost of a sunbed is approximately €30, but this is optional, as are any other additional services.
Regarding nudism, please note that it is not forbidden in Greece. If a few distant nudists happened to catch your attention, we can only say that Greece offers many beautiful sights to admire—and fortunately, the sea is usually dressed in its finest shades of blue. 😊
Safe and happy travels!
This was an excellent tour, a mixture of a really beautiful beach and also history of Mykonos absolutely delighted with this choice.
A total rip off. They drove us to a beach for €150 and then we had to pay €50 to rent a beach chair and they drove us back. That's it. That was the tour. It's not mentioning the rockiness and waviness of the beach because that's not in their control. I recommend spending the 2.5 Euros into the town via the sea taxi.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
We regret to hear that our services did not meet your expectations. If you are sure that you posted your review for the correct business, please note that the cost of this tour is not €150. As for chairs, drinks, food, and any other services, none of these are mentioned among the tour inclusions, which are fully available on this website.
Thank you for your recommendation, but I am afraid that a €2.50 sea taxi will not take you anywhere close to Elia Beach, or to any other similar beach. Of course, tastes differ. I would only add that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, provided that one’s view is not limited by a €2.50 fare. 😊
Safe travels.
Amazing shore excursion to a magnificent beach ! Our guide Georgia was incredible- she stayed with us the whole time and made sure everyone had chairs, umbrellas, great food and wine service to our seats. After the 3 hours at the beach, she took us to Mykonos town to walk around, shop and explore! Georgia was very knowledgeable about the area and a fantastic guide!
In May it was too cold for the beach. Otherwise the beach would have been good. Chairs, food and drinks were a bit pricey
The bus dropped us off in town . We ended up catching the free shuttle back to the boat as there were so many buses. Seemed like not a good deal for basically just a shuttle
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your feedback. The air temperature today in Corfu is 84°F, while the water temperature in Paleokastritsa is 71°F, and the island is full of visitors. May and September are among the most popular months to visit for those who do not want to get sunburned right away or spend the whole day sweating. However, tastes differ — if you prefer hotter weather, July and August may be a better choice. Chairs, food, and drinks are not expensive in Corfu. If you want to see the difference, try Malibu, Palm Beach, Key West or Miami Beach in your home country — you may then find our rates quite reasonable. Please note that shuttles are used for transfers only - the difference with tours is a slower pace, higher comfort, and the presence of a certified guide. Our tour starts from the pier and ends at the pier. Guests who prefer more time in the Old Town after the tour are free to stay there and return by shuttle. Safe travels!
Great easy tour to see the island. The private beach was lovely and the downtown area was our favorite part of the experience, being able to navigate so many shops and restaurants. A bit more hands-off from the tour guide than we were expecting but overall, a good time.
The travel experience was amazing! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. We truly enjoyed every moment of the tour and highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable trip.
First of all, everything ran very smoothly and both the beach location and the town are beautiful. So those are positives. Our guide was very pleasant, but did not give much of a tour. Some information was shared here and there, but really travel time was simply transportation. The disappointment is that in order to enjoy the beach for three hours, you need to pay additional money to rent chairs under an umbrella as well as rent towels. So bring your own towel, but then be prepared to carry it throughout Mykonos later. The chair an umbrella charge was €25 per person. So on top of the tour cost, which was pretty expensive just for a bus ride, our family then spent €100 for chairs. This cost should either be absorbed in the trip cost up front; or a more reasonable group rate. Mykonos itself was beautiful and we had two hours. After walking in and out of town from the port, it really left us with an hour and 40 minutes to wander, eat and shop. It is easy to get lost and some more time would’ve been helpful. I am so glad that we got to relax at the beach as well as visit the beautiful town. But the second half of the day felt rushed and the first half felt overpriced….
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your kind words about Mykonos Town and the beach. Let me address the concerns raised:
1. It was not a guide, but an assistant working with you. Please pay closer attention to the inclusions and description of this activity.
2. Sun beds, chairs, umbrellas, food, and drinks are not included, in accordance with the Inclusions section of this tour description. However, if you take your own towels, there is no need to carry them with you, as you can always leave them in your comfortable van.
3. Please note that Mykonos is the most expensive destination in all of Greece. €25 per person is a very good deal, since you are escorted by us; otherwise, it could have been at least twice as much. Have you ever been to Miami in your home country? The average cost there is $30–$50 for a chair and umbrella setup, depending on location and vendor. That is around €25–€43, so it is unclear why Mykonos rates surprised you.
4. We are sorry that 2 hours in town was not enough and felt rushed. Usually, guests do not need more time.
When booking future activities with Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than personal assumptions. Safe travels!
Terrible at remembering names but the lady who ran the tour had nothing but pleasant things to say about the island, the food and the beach. Gave very good historical details about the island and the culture. After the beach you can roam free in the city for a while and she also tells you what restaurants are the ones you want to try if it’s your only day there.
