Itinerary
Your day begins with pickup from your Mykonos hotel (upon request) or by making your own way to the meeting point by the pier. Board the ferry to Delos where your guide issues tickets to the archaeological site (admission fee not included) and provides an introduction to the islands’ mythology and history.
Set out to explore the narrow streets of Delos and admire such highlights as the House of Dionysos, the statue of Cleopatra, the House of the Trident, and the Theatre of Delos. Other must-see attractions include the Stoa of Phillipe, the Propylaia, the Colossus of the Naxians, and the Temples of Apollo. Your last stop is in front of the Sacred Lake, overlooked by a row of marble lions. There’s time to visit the Archaeological Museum of Delos (at own expense) before returning to the ferry and heading back to Mykonos.

- Check-in time is 60-30 minutes before departure time.
- The booking voucher doesn't guarantee boarding the boat nor entrance to the archaeological site. Please make sure you arrive at the Delos Tours kiosk in the Old Port 60-30 minutes before departure time to check in and receive your boat ticket. Entrance fees to the Archaeological Site & the Museum are not included and need to be paid at the Delos Tours kiosk upon check in, in cash only. You will receive your ticket to the archaeological site when you arrive in Delos.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: The minimum number of participants required for the tour to take place is 8. In the unlikely case that the tour is cancelled because of low participation we will inform you accordingly so you can re-schedule or arrange for a refund

It was not worth the time or money. At the beginning , we stood on the pier for 20 minutes listening to the guide speak. Essentially , We spent most of the time just listening to her talk. Many things on the tour were not visited and we had 5-7 minutes in the museum. About 11 people left the tour because there were things they wanted to see which were on the iteniary and the guide said there wasn’t enough time. I have used Viator multiple times on my trips to France , England , India, Germany ,Austria, Switzerland and Italy. My daughter also uses the app. So I was hesitant to respond in such a negative way.
Super tour leader and her help we could hab seen áll the important places and we got enough time for the museum as well

Worth booking a guided tour, as you get so much more out of a visit, rather than going it alone. Our guide was Celia, an archaeologist, who gave lots background info. Booking info says it takes 1/2 day, but tour itself only lasts 1.5 hours. You can get a later boat back (we went in the morning), but we weren't told this until on Delos, so would have missed transport back to hotel, and not sure how crowded this boat would be if lots people chose to do this, but it would give you time to wander on your own.
Take sun protection as no shade on island.
A long line to redeem the voucher with a wait to board the ship. Late start to the tour (last group of over 20 groups) and had to rush through the museum after. Only cash on the ship for concessions and no real concessions on Delos. Tour was great, however, and I’d go back
Brilliant trip, 100% worth doing. Cyrielle our tour guide was brilliant, super knowledgable and loved her passion! Would be great if they did a full day as there is so much to see and explore! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Celia was amazing! Knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend this half day trip. Was plenty of time for the tour and museum. If you want to explore a lot yourself post the tour, there were 2 ferries departing later.
We booked the last trip of the day (1630) - probably best time for temperature. We had a small group and had an excellent tour guide. An archaeologist herself she was very informative and clearly had a passion for telling the history of Delos which she did very well.
Highly recommend the trip - even my husband who tends to be less interested in historical tours than me really enjoyed it.
We had already visited the archaeological museum in Mykonos Town (free) which I also recommend doing as lots of the artefacts are there.
We went on the last ferry out (5p) which I highly recommend - temperature was perfect and we got the most beautiful sunset. Bring water! And comfortable walking shoes. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much. If you have any interest in history would definitely make time for this when visiting Mykonos. Very special place
It was extremely hot! I had a cooling fan with me and that’s how I survived. The tour was interesting if you like history. It’s an archeological site so that’s your tour. There is nothing else on the island. The tour guide was great and she did a good job making it interesting.
It was lovely— very windy (be careful with your hat) but the guide was fantastic and I learned a lot about Delos as an ancient port city.
Excellent trip. Historical site of Delos is first rate, incredibly well preserved and well worth a visit.
We headed to the port to exchange our tickets and board the ferry before meeting our guide on the island. Celia, our guide, an archaeologist, was fascinating and super knowledgable and made the tour for us.
There is no shade but we were prepared for that, brought water, and hats.
Brilliant trip.
This was an incredible experience getting to learn the history of the sacred Delos and what happened to the city state.
Sadly our tour (5-8pm) was a little short and rushed, and the weather conditions where too windy to go atop the highest point of the island. Although we got to experience a beautiful sunset.
Even though the description says ‘all inclusive’ , admission to the site IS NOT included. I felt deceived

To clarify, the €20 per person entrance fee to the archaeological site and museum is set by the Greek Ministry of Culture and is not included in the tour price.
This information is clearly stated in the Exclusions section of the Viator tour listing before booking and is also reiterated in our post-booking correspondence before the tour.

We arrived at the port 30 mins before the ferry left. Instructions were clear and communication leading up to the day was quick and helpful. When we arrived on the island we met with our personable and knowledgeable guide. She really brought history to life and included kids with questions and anecdotes to keep them engaged. There was time to explore more at the end. I did the 5 pm tour and highly recommend other do the same. It was golden hour so the island was even more beautiful to visit and photograph. The island has very few people and tours as the cruise ships and day travelers had left and the heat of the day had finished. Additionally, the ferry ride home had a beautiful view of the sunset. Highly recommend for adults and kids
We had a great time despite the unforgiving heat. We found the experience to be exactly what we were hoping for, which was made even better thanks to our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide.
Our guide, Celia, was excellent. She really kept up the enthusiasm and was clearly very interested in and knowledgeable about the subject matter. Bear in mind that there is very little shade on the island, and no food and drink, so cream up and bring lots of water.
We were collected from our hotel, which was significantly easier as even from the drop off point, there is a 15min walk to get tickets & board the ferry.
The crossing can get rough if it’s windy.
Make sure you have good sunscreen & plenty of water as there is little or no shade - just hang on to your hat!!!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable however the wind on the microphone did make it difficult to hear / understand her at times, despite her trying to keep it shielded.

Fascinating tour. I had no idea such an important city existed on this tiny island. Our tour guide was an archeologist and had extensive knowledge of the history of the Delos. She also had some wonderful stories and anecdotes about Greek mythology. Amazing to walk over the same streets people did 5000 years ago.
Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat with you. There is very little shade.
I believe the guide for our tour was an archaeologist at the site. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and conveyed that in a highly entertaining and engaging manner. We went in early May, and it was very warm on the island - make sure to wear sunscreen and a hat and bring lots of water. The tour moved quickly through some parts, but you can stay longer and catch a different boat back to Mykonos at a later time. For us, the 4 hours was perfect. They have a small museum that is interesting and gives some respite from the sun. Would highly recommend!
I really just want to give a shout out to the tour operator because our ferry was delayed, we were unable to make the meeting location before the boat left for Delos. The operator was so helpful they got us on another boat. There was unfortunately not another live tour but they did give us access to audio tours and we were to spend a couple hours on the island before we had to head back. We were super stressed when we got there because we literally took the ferry to Mykonos specifically to go on the Delos Tour. We’re so grateful that they made it happen for us one way around the other and we got to s spend some time on Delos with their audio guide, which was pretty good! I highly recommend taking the tour Delos is amazing!
The guide was very informative, but it was a bit long in heat. It would have been nice if water was offered.
This is a great place to visit and the ferry was a nice ride. The tour guide however was super slow and we eventually just took off on our own and got to see so much more of the island. I would buy only the self guide package.
Wonderful experience, but too short of an excursion, we did not have enough time to see the exhibits on the museum. I felt rushed. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Let me separate the tour from the place. Delos is fantastic and well worth the time and effort to get there.
This tour however, left us feeling rushed. The transfer from our hotel to the old port was over 15 minutes late which put us under significant pressure to get to the boat on time. The crossing was rough but enjoyable.
There are not enough toilets at Delos port which led to delays in starting the tour. The tour guide was very pleasant with good English but she spoke way to fast and we missed some of the commentary. The Whisper audio system was also affected by the wind which was quite strong. The tour only covers some of the site and there was not enough time to explore it ourselves - 4 hour trip of which 1 hour is spent on the boat, 30 mins gathering for tour guide, 90 mins on tour , 15 mins to make sure you catch the boat back only leaving 45 mins free time for the museum (which has some great exhibits) and the site itself (which is huge). There are plenty of info boards and the free map has a lot of information.
I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it was. Our guide Celia was knowledgeable about the cite and gave us a lot of pertinent and valuable information. She was awesome!!!
The tour itself was organized and efficient. We checked in at the port office at around 9:20am for our 10:00am tour and got our tickets to board the ship. Once we arrived to the island, Delos, our guide Celia quickly gathered us all up and gave us our entry tickets. We avoided the long lines to get in.

The tour lasted 90 minutes, after which we had time to explore the island on our own. We had 3 available times to depart the island. 1:30, 3:00 and 8:00.
The entrance to the museum was included with our entry. The museum is a must! Make sure to get a map of the island from the museum so you know what you are seeing and choose your route. But you are free to roam the ruins on your own. Enjoy!
Great 1/2 day tour of Delos. Made very special by our very nice & knowledgeable tour guide. Recommend when visiting to wear hats & bring sunscreen which we didnt
