Hard to locate pier, no commentary

    Kadi_K, Aug 2025
Finding the embarkation dock was a real challenge. We put the exact location from our booking info into Uber and it took us one pier over from where we needed to be. We had arrived early so we were able to power walk over to the next pier. Once we reached the correct pier, there was ZERO signage to indicate where we should go. When we finally found the boat, there was no seat selection for us and we had to sit in an uncovered section in full sun. (Yes, we ended up with sunburns.) The ride itself was fine. It was relaxing but there was really no commentary provided and no information about where we were and what we were seeing. It was basically a three-hour boat ride. Further, the description said there was a bathroom on board but there was no evidence of one.

Bonjour, We totally agree with you about the Old Port lack of signage but we have zero control on this manner. Regarding the lack of comment I invite you to write a email to WETSETMTL with the date of your ride in order to clarify the point with our captain. There is a portable toilet in the boat only for women. Pierre

Do not do this tour It was very confusing were to get the boat when we FINALLY found the tour guide he was more interested in his phone and when I asked if there were enough seats for us he laughed and said NO.. I have used this app in locations all over the world( Scotland, Mexico Alaska and more) I have never had such a bad experience The only good thing was they agreed to a full refund.. We didn’t go on the boat it would have been a over crowded and not safe.. We opted to take a different boat company and it was completely professional and enjoyable.. I wouldn’t recommend this tour at all

Madam, It is unfortunate to read in your review that you chose to comment on the capacity and safety of our boat by claiming it was going to be overloaded and therefore unsafe. In reality, that is simply not true. This boat is certified for 12 passengers—period. Such a statement unfairly portrays us as an irresponsible company that puts profit before customer safety, which is absolutely false. This comment is not acceptable, as it is entirely inaccurate. That being said, we understand that you may have felt some discomfort or hesitation upon seeing the boat when you arrived. Not everyone is comfortable boarding a smaller-sized watercraft, and we can empathize with that. However, what we cannot understand—or accept—is that you would publicly express an unfounded and unsubstantiated opinion regarding the quality and safety of our boat, in a way that could harm our reputation. This is simply unacceptable. May I remind you that when you booked with us, you were presented with all the necessary information regarding the type of boat, including its make, size, and features—unless, of course, you chose not to review this information properly. The boat you saw at the dock was the exact same boat shown at the time of booking. As for your claim of an impolite welcome… This may have been the result of a misunderstanding or a simple case of being "lost in translation." The captain had just called me to inform me that the boat had not yet returned from the fuel dock and he was concerned about the delay. His concern may have been misinterpreted. Regarding the refund… it was offered to you voluntarily. You did not need to demand it. I would also like to point out that during our phone conversation, your only concern was not boarding what you perceived—incorrectly—as an unsafe and overcrowded boat. We are deeply committed to offering the best possible experience to each and every customer, day after day. As a small local business, we know how important every single guest is. Are we immune to mistakes? Absolutely not. But when everyone works together, there is always a way to find a solution. Finally, regarding your comment about difficulty locating us—we invite you to share that feedback with the Old Port of Montreal Authority, as this is unfortunately beyond our control. Pierre
