Epic viewing experience of epic murals!

A great way to deep dive into the magnificent murals of CDMX! Emiliano spotted us as we disembarked from our Uber a few minutes before the apportioned time. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. We made small talk about the city and our travels until we arrived at our first stop. There he gave us an historical overview before looking at the murals. He engaged us with questions and tailored his talk to our interests. He was passionate about the works he was showing us and infused facts with his own thoughts and opinions in a way that encouraged us to share our own thoughts and observations. We had an educational, interactive, and truly enjoyable afternoon. We would highly recommend Emiliano as your tour guide!

History and Art in one Package

This tour exceeded my expectations in every way. Over three hours we visited three fascinating locations featuring works by Diego Rivera and two other important Mexican artists, and each stop felt thoughtfully chosen and added to the overall experience. What truly made the tour stand out was my guide, Emiliano, They were exceptionally knowledgeable without ever sounding rehearsed, and they brought the art, history, and cultural context to life in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. I learned far more than I expected and came away with a much deeper appreciation for Mexican muralism and the history of Mexico City. The pacing was excellent, the private tour was personal, and the three hours flew by. I’ve done many guided tours while traveling, and this was honestly one of the best. Highly recommended whether you’re already interested in art or just looking for a meaningful way to experience the city and learn some history.

We loved our mural tour. Emiliano did a great job explaining the history of Mexico and its relationship to the murals in an engaging way. We stopped at spots that I would not have found by myself, and Emiliano’s commentary provided an enormous amount of context which made the tour very worthwhile in comparison to seeing the murals by myself without a guide. I highly recommend this tour, and it was a highlight of my trip!

Our tour with Emiliano was hands down the highlight of our trip to Mexico City and is a must for anyone interested in the history and art of this vibrant city. Book it as early in your stay as possible. Emiliano is the best guide we’ve had anywhere — he does an exceptional job providing context for broad swathes of Mexican history, using individual murals to explore the most critical sociopolitical themes. As an art history major, I can honestly say his storytelling and analysis is on par with many of my classes. He is kind, engaging, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, anticipating many of our questions but able to answer countless more. Not to mention, his English is impeccable. The tour went nearly 4 hours and we were clinging to every word. Need I say more? Book immediately.

I traveled with my husband and 2 other friends so the tour ended up being a private tour. We all agreed that this was a highlight of our trip to Mexico City. People should be advised that it is a lot of walking and standing but it is so worth it!
