Itinerary

Show up at one of the central meeting points in Mexico City to begin your tour. Meet your guide and group and board a comfortable tour bus, then head out into the Hidalgo region to explore two of the Pueblos Magicos, or Magic Towns.

Arrive in Real del Monte, where you can stroll through the streets of the 18th-century mining town. Learn about its historical significance from your guide, then spend some free time in the town center for lunch (own expense) and shopping. Your guide will be happy to suggest a local restaurant serving Hidalguense cuisine, such as tamales, cream bread, or pulque.

Continue to Huasca de Ocampo to explore the canyon full of columns of basalt rock, called the Basaltic Prisms. Snap photos of the waterfalls that feed the dam of San Antono Regla. Spend some free time exploring the town on your own before returning to Mexico City for drop-off at your original departure point.

The guide I had, Liliana, was excellent. She was super kind and informative. She spoke in English while there was another guide that spoke to those who only understand Spanish. We also had another that drove the bus for us. The guides were very kind and the trip was great. Really interesting places to visit! Definitely worth seeing.

Pleasant journey with Sergio and Omr. They arrived early. Ensured we got had enough time at each stop. Sergio is particularly jolly. He laughed alot which added greatly to the atmosphere. Recommend this tour highly.

Grea experience, It did not...

Grea experience, It did not satrt very well, we had one hour delay, it seem they had overbooking and 25 minutes after we left, we had to go back to pock up 4 more passengers. We ere told than vehicle was not in good condition to go to a mountains zone. The oaces we visited are beautiful, nice smal towns, we tried Pastes in Mineral del Monte, delivery delicios, La hacienda de Santa Maria Regla was beautiful also. The best part of all were the Basaltic Prisms, its amazing!

This was a good day trip, Our Guide Daniel was very good. The firs stop at the British cemetery is a bit long but it Huasca de Ocampo is great and worth the trip alone.
