Itinerary

Board your air-conditioned minivan at your centrally located Mendoza hotel and set off for the wine country. Arrive in Luján de Cuyo, in the upper Mendoza Valley, where chardonnay, malbec and cabernet sauvignon grapes all thrive at the 3,820-foot (1,000-meter) elevation. Your fascinating day of Mendoza wine tours begins here.

Meet a staff member at your first Mendoza winery for a tour that includes the winery's history and architecture. Enjoy your first Mendoza wine tasting of the day while hearing about the winemaking process and some notes on how to taste and appreciate different varietals.

Climb back aboard your minivan for the additional wine tours, enjoying the sights of the Mendoza vineyards shaded by the distant Andes on the way. At each winery, including Tempus Alba, Altavista and Luigi Bosca, you will learn the particulars of the different histories and methods involved in their varied approaches to winemaking.

Stop at the Pasrai Olive Oil Factory for a tasting of a different type before settling down to a shady picnic lunch in a peaceful outdoor setting. Your wine-tasting day ends with drop-off at your Mendoza hotel.

My husband and I loved the tour, we visited three wineries with excellent experiences in tasting and lunch. We also visited an olive oil producer which was entertaining and delicious as well. Staff was courteous, smiling, knowledgeable. They were about 30 minutes late picking us up, but the day more than made up for the wait. Definitely recommended!

Everyone was so friendly, the wine was amazing and the food was delicious! I was the only English speaker on my trip but the guide translated everything and the people on the trip were very nice!

Wine tasting excellence

Really excellent well paced wine tour. Started at Tempus Alba winery with excellent explanation from member of the winders. Then on to olive oil producers which was good to pace the wine tasting. Then another excellent look around LaGarde then a really excellent meal at Clos de Charcas

Mendoza Wine Tour with Lunch

Matthew_W, Sep 2019
The tour started out with a visit to Bodega Tempus Alba, a boutique winery in every sense. Our guide Amir (who took the English-speaking tour) was fantastic. He introduced the group to the philosophy underpinning the wineries approach to perfecting the grapes grown onsite. He was kind, sincere and most importantly knew what he was talking about. After leading our group through a tour of the winery and explaining the nuts and bolts of the wine making process, he stepped the group through four tastings. While some people on the tour knew almost nothing about wine, a few people knew some things about wine, and myself a bit more, Amir ensured everyone was comfortable and was happy to answer any questions. I purchased a bottle of their flagship wine Vero Malbec after I was offered a tasting (not included as part of the tour, but no charge to tour guests). This was a perfect way to start the day. Highly recommend Tempus Alba. The next stop was the olive oil factory. This was pleasant, informative and a welcome addition to the tour. The host was friendly and was happy to answer questions. The third stop was Bodega Luigi Bosca. The wines are ok, but nothing spectacular. Strangely during a set tasting our group was poured the sparkling white after trying three red wines. Classic mistake. There was also a white wine offered to begin with, don't know what type of wine it was as it wasn't offered to me, but it was offered to others in the group....weird! What was even weirder was I asked if they offer tastings on the Cabernet Franc which they did....but they don't sell it. Then I asked to try the Cabernet Bouchet, which they sell but don't offer tastings. To cap it off, I purchased a bottle of wine for approx. AUD$50 and they charged me twice. Basically, an average winery and/or staff that don't know what they’re doing. Disappointing after such as great experience at Tempus Alba. Lunch was a relaxing event, offering four courses with matching wines (including options for vegetarians). This was a nice way to finish the day and capped off what was all up an enjoyable day trip from Mendoza. The tour host Anita (Ana) was lovely, great fun and can speak multiple languages. I highly recommend the tour for people starting out with wine knowledge or those looking to learn a bit more.

Excellent tour

I and my family is highly satisfied with this particular tour. Timing, winery selection and the lunch offered were great! Our tour guide was excellent, fluent in both English and Spanish and providing detailed information on all the wineries and Mendoza region in general. I'd definitely recommend this tour and in case of a chance will take it again!

Wonderful day in Malbec Country

Louis_C, Jan 2019
This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Our tour Guide Ana was excellent in explaining the places we would visit and did not rush us throughout the entire day. We visited 2 Bodega along with an olive oil factory. The wine tastings were very generous but most importantly the tours were extremely informative. I live close to the Napa Valley in California and I feel I learnt more on this trip then the tours I have taken before. To end the day we had a nice lunch in a lovely restaurant and the wine kept flowing. I highly recommend this tour.

Definitely a reason behind our trip to Argentina! Guide well knowledgeable. Excellent winery visits and wine tasting sessions with good conversation in English with owner or their representatives. Scenery of the Andes quite spectacular.

We just didn't find the tour that exciting. There was some English from the guide and from winery staffs, but not always. The lunch turned out to be a picnic lunch under some trees that were inhabited by a flock of birds. The tables and chairs were covered with bird doo when we arrived, which didn't set a pleasant tone and even though staff cleaned it up, the birds added more, to the tables and the guests,as we tried to eat. The staff tried to charge us 25 for a car back to our hotel that we didn't want and had turned down--and which they had offered for 10 in the first place.

A tour for wine lovers only! We visited 3 beautiful wineries and an olive oil factory and had ample tastings at each one. Lunch was served picnic style on the lovely grounds of the last winery. Our tour guide was terrific. Great day!

This was such a lovely wine tour. Two highlights: The first winery's tour was given by the owner herself. It was awesome to hear the passion and wine tasting was very well setup. Two other wine tour was just as lovely. The 2nd highlight was their lunch. The third winery had a large green space where they set up different areas for people to sit and enjoy gourmet lunch. Some where tables, but there were areas where you get to sit on the grass with full picnic setup! It was so cute and definitely a highlight. Con: You will likely be mixed with spanish speakers. As an american, I feel like I missed out on much of the narratives. They did make best attempt to do the tour in english and spanish, but inevitably they are better and lengthier with spanish.

The tour was really good.... obviously some good wines and beautiful scenery. Since I don't speak Spanish, the guide tried her best to ensure there was always someone to translate for me. I would recommend this tour!

The trip was disappointing - we signed up for an english tour and were put with a spanish group. While the guide did her best to accommodate, we still feel we missed out on a lot. Secondly, we feel it was overpriced. We would recommend picking a different tour.

Three wineries to visit. A modern one, a very old historic one and a third which was slightly larger than the others. Very good guide, Flavia, and the places were all different, wine tasting was good. We also saw an olive oil plant, again family run and historic. The birds in the gardens were parakeets and they had amazing condominium type nests. Excellent picnic at the third winery, lovely gardens there too. Great day out, fully recommend. Really nice, chilled out day sampling wine from some lovely vineyards. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our only negative was that some of the tastings in one of the wineries were small and stingy!

Collected from our hotel by our English speaking guide and started in the first winery just after half past 10 am (it's lunchtime somewhere?). All in all a good day, the olive oil producer was so so! Great picnic lunch at Alta Vista, if I had one reservation it would be we did not try enough Malbec!

A wonderful tour, lasts just the right amount of time. Each winery visited has its own special character and offers a unique experience both of wine and the region. Best taken with a friend, but it is still excellent if you go solo. The particular bodegas visited on this tour are helpful in guiding your approach to wine tasting - good for newbies and seasoned wine veterans alike.

Viator doesn't allow enough words to adequately describe how great this tour was. Our guide, Marina, saw very sweet and personable. The vineyards were very interesting and the staff was knowledgeable. You should go!

Great tour visiting three wineries and a olive oil factory. At the fourth stop in a vineyard we enjoyed a boxed lunch very good with a bottomless bottle of wine and sat with other members of the tour and got to know each other. Day well spent.

Visited 3 bodegas and had a picnic lunch at the last one. Well organized and operated. We learnt about the various wineries in the region as well as made a stop at an Olive Oil factory. Really enjoyed the wine tastings, and everyone was so pleasant! Great day!

the guide was really friendly and informed. imo, it would have been better to skip the olive oil factory especially the time when they do not process any and take more time wine tasting and getting to know the wine and wineries.

This is a great, relaxing tour with some of the best of Mendoza wines to taste. The guide's knowledge Martin of the area and of this wine region is excellent. Travel is kept to a minimum with most time spent at the wineries. The short trip to a small and exclusive olive oil factory producing first cold press quality oil is also well worth a visit.

We had an awesome time. Visited 3 vineyards and an olive oil factory. The vineyards were beautiful, and each tour/tasting was very informative. The tastings were great and the guides took the time to explain the proper way to taste wine. Our picnic lunch at the last winery was amazing and in a beautiful area. We had a great day!
