Make your own way to Saint Paul's Bay to visit the Malta National Aquarium.
Enter with the provided admission ticket and discover the exhibits among 52 tanks that are home to a variety of Mediterranean fish, replicas of historical artifacts found in Maltese waters, as well as reptiles, insects, and amphibians.
See fish species from the Indian Ocean in the main tank, including black-tip sharks, horn sharks, eels, and rays. Walk through the glass tunnel to get a look at the fish as they swim around you. The aquarium's tanks are designed to replicate the underwater environment. Spend as much time taking in the critters.
The aquarium building is a curved structure shaped like a starfish. Stroll outdoors along the landscaped promenade, and let the kids run in the play area. From the promenade, take in sweeping views of St. Paul's Islands. Additional facilities include food outlets, a beach club, gift shop, and parking garage.

Lovely aquarium took my time walking around, enjoyed my time there. You have a photo taken at the start, which you are able to purchase at the end if you wanted.

Pretty average for an aquarium, too many people, queues, small exhibits, however good restaurant, clean and tidy, and some good exhibits around sustainability and deep sea wrecks. Not disable friendly either. And had to pay extra to park too.

Lovely experience. Presented Viator tickets I had purchased prior to travel and staff were really pleasant and helpful at the aquarium. Loved the aquarium and its one of the best I have ever seen. I highly recommend any one to visit.

Smaller than expected but the staff is great, the. Place is clean, the restaurant is lovely , the playground is great too ! Overall we would go back !

My partner and I have visited other aquariums and have been impressed so far, however this one was rather small with not a huge selection of fish. The tickets were not expensive so we would say it’s worth the money. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would recommend visiting as it was a nice morning out for us :)

The Most memorable Parts were the presentations given by the very kind staff members. Furthermore, the wide range of different Kinds of Fish , stingrays, jellyfish and Sharks was very impressive!I also loved that the staff is spreading the Message to protect the oceans and its inhabitants.

It was nice but not not that much to see and you have to pay extra for feeding etc. Was a but disappointed for the price and there not much to see. The staff were friendly though

I went to sea life in Berlin before, but it was the first Aquarium my girlfriend had ever visited and she was totally exited.
There were plenty fishes and some sharks to watch. The glass tunnel was her highlight of the trip. It's really informative and you learn useful tips how to reduce garbage for keeping the ocean clean. It's definitely a good choice for children and everyone who likes to learn something about the ocean.
The only thing my girlfriend missed were dolphins and maybe more than just one tunnel.
But everything else was awesome.
Oh and we should mentioned, there were reptiles as spiders, snakes, frogs and a chameleon too.
We would give our trip a 4.5/5 points.
Definitely fun and worth it.

Good for the price. However a big variety of fish would have mad the experience more fun filling. However, would recommend, more of a family thing! They also charge extra if you would like a photo taken off you upon arrival.

Experience was great, but do not sit at the restaurant. So called manager or whatever he is (has a black shirt, others have white), is rude and place is not worthy of time and money. Bugibba is beautiful place with much better restaurants with nicer stuff.

The place is not as big as it seems from outside. But the staff is very polite and welcoming, interesting story about the fish presented there. We were invited to watch the feeding of the fish in a biggest tank. Nicely spend time.

it was average. don't get me wrong I enjoyed seeing the different types of see life but its clear this meant for a family day out and not solo. the best think about the trip was that I paid extra to do the behind the scenes tour which showed the containment area, kitchen , laboratory and above the shark tank, the only complaint have is that the aquarium was just a bit small.

At the National Aquarium we have 50 tanks with approx 130 species of fish and approx 25 species of insects and reptiles which is relatively a good selection of species. For next time feel free to speak to one of our team members to help you explore more our exhibits and species ...

Great for children and the decor is nice. Other than that, there are no real wow' sea creatures in the aquarium, seems like they are still growing and building. Maybe in another 2-5 years they may have larger and exotic sea animals.
