Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Travelled over from WA for the footy and got a comprehensive Melbourne experience. Guide took us to places we otherwise wouldn’t have known existed, shared great, entertaining stories and took us to some of the coolest bars we have seen!
It was an enjoyable tour. Maria was a knowledgeable tour guide. She also brought us to a couple of super cool pubs (one Alice in Wonderland theme and the other fully hidden Great Gatsby Speakeasy) that we might otherwise never know about.
Lenny was an excellent host! He sure knows his history of Melboune considering he is a computer geek! It was a pleasure rolling along on this tour with him! Lots of great history and cool bars visited and facts were shared which was a highlight on our visit to Melbourne! Lenny also accommodated my need for an accessible tour very well. The only feedback that I would provide is if you are advertising a wheelchair accessible tour make a note that people need to tell you in advance they need accessible venues. The 2nd bar was upstairs and we ended up at at different bar due to that. As I mentioned it was handled well but non- accessible bars should not be on a tour advertised as wheelchair accessible.
This is a great way to learn about some of Melbourne's past and enjoy bars you might never have gone to if not for the tour.
Bridget was a very knowledgeable and informative guide. She mixed history with humour and made it a fun and memorable experience. At the start of the tour, she showed her concern for an unwell man who wasn't part of the tour, by organising an ambulance for him.

The tour was great. Tess was awesome and provided lots of creepy stories about locations that seem totally normal and unassuming. The bar selection was also great. The bar inspired by fairy tales was fun. I can now say that I've had a drink poured out of a magic lamp. The speak easy at the end of the tour was also good, it had lots of charm and good drinks. All in all, this is a great tour to do if you're new to Melbourne, but also for locals! Melbourne seems to have hidden surprises around every corner and Tess will tell you all about them!

From start to finish, this tour was outstanding. Our guide, Tess, was amazing – warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made everyone feel welcome and created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.
The pubs we visited were fantastic, each with their own character and charm. One in particular was truly unforgettable – stepping inside felt like walking into a dark fairytale, with glowing toadstools, whimsical décor, and cocktails that looked like they came straight out of a storybook. It was an experience unlike any other, and I’ll never forget it.
Another highlight was the people. We met some amazing fellow travellers – especially Nick from LA, who was such a friendly, warm, and interesting person to talk to. Sharing the day with great company made the experience even more special.
The combination of a well-run tour, a fantastic guide, unique venues, and wonderful people made this an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tour that blends professionalism, friendliness, and genuine fun
Great local knowledge by Brigette. Really great choice of bars. Timing was also really good - did not feel rushed at all.
Very interesting creepy tales with the added bonus of visiting hidden bars and sipping on cocktails. Bridget knows soooo much history of Melbourne. The car park beside the Queen Victoria Markets story of the graveyard was an amazing story that gave me goosebumps!
What a fabulous way to see and hear a different side to Melbourne. Bridgette was amazing. Great stories, great knowledge, and fabulous bars. Even a little rain didn’t hurt!
Major shouts to Tess who not only provided an educationally nutritious tour and struck the exact right balance of local insight and humor, but also demonstrated Christlike patience in tolerating me and my brother’s incessant antics. Please do consider promoting her or at least get her a nice paperweight or even a tote bag.
Everyone was nice. It was not very spooky and the stories were not great. The walk was nice and it was good to see some pubs/bars we would not have tried.
I highly recommend taking this tour and count yourself lucky if Bridgette is your tour guide! She was super personable and knowledgeable. The tour is well curated so all stops were interesting and she was wonderful about answering questions. The bars she took us too were so cool! Definitely a good way to get your feet wet if you're in Melbourne for the first time.

Guide picks the bars. You get handed menus without prices of items they want you to order. Kinda shady and annoying.

Hi Kathy, thanks for the review, and thanks for shedding a new light on this part of our guest experience.
Firstly, for anyone reading this, we have two options - either a drinks included or not-included ticket.
For the latter, guests are free to order whatever they want off the menu.
For the former, in some bars we work with, there is a specific menu -this is primary to help speed up drinks service as we are on a fairly tight schedule. If the menus don't have a price on the sheet, we need to follow up with those bars as that shouldn't be the case.
Also, those who have bought a non-drinks package with us an order anything they like - not just whats on the curated list. That was a misunderstanding by our bar partner and has been rectified.
Thanks again, I'm going to chase up with are bar partners now to ensure that part of the process is cleaner.
This trip was fun! Lenny knew so much, and his stories were entertaining and informative., with a side of humour. He knew so much! The boozy breaks brought the group together. The stores made me look at Melbourne with new eyes.

This was my first time on this tour. I was quite disappointed in our tour guides I believe one was named Gabriela and she had a helper. It felt like a majority if the time she was talking to him and not the 6 of us in the group. The stories lacked very little information and details and were not at all engaging. I feel like I spent way too much money for that it was worth and I purchased the tickets without the drinks. I would not attend nor recommend any friends or family this tour.

The other person you mention was a new guide in training - while its important for the trainee to ask the guide questions, it cant be at the expense of the group. Let me investigate this more.
A great guide with a lot of interesting information. We went to a variety of bars that catered for different tastes.

Daniel was an amazing tour guide, who was very warm and welcoming. The tour felt like an old friend who you hadn’t seen in awhile, showing you the wonderful and not so wonderful gems of Melbourne. I have never felt more relaxed on a tour and would 100% book again.
