Best way to see Melbourne

Nigel_P, Oct 2025
Fantastic morning. Ben and Terry know Melbourne sports and the history of Melbourne inside out, and were really entertaining hosts. You get to see the Melbourne tennis centre (even play on one of the courts) and hear the whole history and all the quirky details. If you think you know it already: you don’t. You also get in to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Magnificent 100,000 seat stadium nicknamed The Coliseum, which it is actually reminiscent of. All in all this was three hours very well spent.

Hi Nigel - I think you nailed exactly what our experience is about and how we try and bring Melbourne to life through our sporting precinct, world class events and culture.

Our guide Greg was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. Only wish we could have seen inside some of the stadiums.

Ben did a great job. We went into all the venues. He brought props, discussed how the games are played, rules and shared interesting stories. He even showed us what else to see in Melbourne and how to get there. Well worth it! Thanks Ben!

We didn't go on Ben's tour but still had the best experience dealing with him!!!

The day before our scheduled tour, my husband got sick, and we had to cancel. It was outside the free cancellation time, but Ben went out of his way to arrange a refund for us! Because there was less that 24-hours left, the cancellation option was unavailable at our end, but Ben then submitted a request from his end and pleaded our case: We received a full refund. In a money hungry world, this was so refreshing! From the reviews I've read, his tours are fantastic, but it is great to know that he is also a great person and did not want our money if he was unable to deliver a service - even though it was not his fault. This guy clearly believes in karma and so do we! We will be back to do this tour!

Wow! A five star review from someone who didn’t even do my tour! I’ve found my passion in this little tour and money is definitely not what gets me out of bed each day. And, hey, travel is about experiences and if I have given you a great experience without giving you any advice experience the. I’ve done my job and I’m happy.

Entertaining Sports tour.

Australian Open Tennis

Denise_T, Jul 2024
Our tour guide Ben was very knowledgeable, friendly and was great at taking pictures of us in front of these iconic arenas. We appreciated that he adjusted our meeting time to avoid some of the heat of the day. The Rod Laver arena was the highlight of our tour since this is the 3rd tennis slam arena we have been to. We were slightly disappointed that we weren't allowed access, but we expected it! I hope you are lucky enough to get Ben on your tour!
