Our first visit to Martinique could not have gone better. We were an hour late exiting our cruise ship, not our fault, but Christelle waited for us and we were shown the island by her in style and comfort. An excellent English speaker and a fund of knowledge and very 'sympa' as they say in French. With just 2 in her Mercedes we had a first class day out and enjoyed her baking too. Highly recommended.

The guide Christelle gives a very interesting overview of the history of Martinique, of the people living here and some legends. She offers different flavors ( food and drinks) to complete the experience while we explore the rain forest and St. Pierre.

Christelle was a terrific host. She gave us wonderful stories of the history of Martinique at each stop. She provided a taste of local flavors throughout the tour, our favorite was her homemade, coconut rum, it was amazing! Despite the rain making it a little difficult to access some of the stops, she showed us some wonderful sites and improvised for stops we weren’t able to make.
My husband and I would highly recommend this tour for someone looking to explore the island

Informative, fun and personalized experience! Truly enjoyed seeing the highlights in the north and learning about the island's history. Excellent tour!!
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Dear Michelle,
It was a pleasure to meet you and share the historical anecdotes as well as the local flavors. I hope we will meet again to discover the south of the island if you come back to Martinique!

Our guide was a pro. A teacher by profession, she was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. She had a great pace on the stops and homemade treats to illustrate her narrative about the food and culture of Martinique. Very comfortable vehicle which was important for a longer tour. We loved it and would highly recommend.

A great experience from start to finish. Crystal was very friendly and incredibly informative throughout the day. She brought homemade tastes of Martinique that provided a very unique experience as she talked about life on the island. A great tour with lots of variety.
A perfect guide and a great tour.
Highly recommended 👍

Dear Michelle,
Thank you for your glowing review and for sharing your wonderful experience. I am glad to read that you particularly enjoyed the local food and beverages, as well as the way we live in Martinique.
I wish you a great rest of the cruise and hope to see you again if you ever come back!

Christelle was an amazing guide throughout the tour. She shared many small tastings of delicious local food that she had prepared herself, which added a personal and authentic touch. The tour included a great variety of sights and experiences, and Christelle was very knowledgeable and engaging, explaining everything we saw in a clear and interesting way. Her passion for the local culture really shone through. We felt very well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience. I can warmly and sincerely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Martinique.

This tour gives you a taste of some local cuisine, as well as the culture. This is not a meal, so plan accordingly.
Response from Host, Mar 2025
Dear Jill,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review! Indeed, our tour includes pastries and drinks that not replace a meal. I hope some them gave you a nice perspective of our culture!
Timothy_A, Feb 2025
Very experienced and personable hostess with amazing historical insight to the entire island. Personal attention, personal service, cooking and a very attentive approach to our tour group. Excellent!
Response from Host, Mar 2025
Thank you for acknowledging the dedication to create a unique experience and nice interactions during the tour. It's been a real pleasure to share our culture and flavors with you!

Awesome excursion. Got to see Martinique and taste some home made food. Really enjoyed it. Highly recommend this excursion.
Response from Host, Mar 2025
Thank you very much for taking the time to write that you had a wonderful excursion that was a mix of sightseeing and local flavors!
I hope you will choose our services again if you ever visit the island again ;-)
Isabelle_A, Feb 2025
Christelle was a great and interesting guide. Great tour. It is the food part that was disappointing. To eat things from coolers in the back of the van was not what I expected.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Dear Isabelle,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
Thanks to your feedback, I made a more clear description explaining that this is not a regular food tour going to restaurants or bakeries, but one that includes freshly homemade pastries served along the itinerary as well as cold beverages in a cooler.
Sorry to see that you didn’t enjoy the local flavors, and wish you a great rest of your stay!
Christelle

Our first visit to Martinique and it has lots of steep, winding, mountain roads. Take medication if you are sensitive. January is still rainy season, and it poured off and on during our excursion. Bring appropriate rain gear. Our tour lead, Alex, was new to the tour (this was her 2nd time) and she did a fine job with her co-tour guide. Interesting info and history. Sampled food at 4 stops (a sweet pastry, a round empenada, a small smoked chicken slider, and 4 beverages, including a local beer, wine, rum beverage and chocolate. They are all made locally, and are just samples, so don't expect a meal. We visited a rum company, but there were so many other busses and it was very crowded.
Very interesting, but long trip and lots of driving. At the end of the tour, visit the mojito booth on the boardwalk for a freshly made mojito by Florence. There's also a great cultured pearl both just before you walk onto the pier. Beautiful items and they take credit cards :-).
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Dear Vikki_W,
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback concerning Alex, and for enjoying the different food samples (I hope you also liked the cinnamon apple brioche and iced tea ☺️).
I am sorry that the exceptionally intense rains of this January as well as the crowds at the distillery tarnished your experience, but still hope that you will keep a nice memory of Martinique!
TaKendra_R, Jan 2025
This tour was really fun and personable! The food was tasty and she was really knowledgeable regarding the sites. It was a really fun day despite the rain.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Thank you for writing about your experience with us on this special day for you!
I am delighted to see that in spite of the very rainy season you enjoyed the places we visited and the homemade pastries ☺️
Robin_D, Jan 2025
The food experience we were expecting, was something like the featured photo. The description even mentioned meatballs.
We skipped breakfast, expecting more food. The food was actually small pastry samples, featuring dried out pastries. One of the pastry stops did have a couple of tiny pieces of chicken within the pastry…never any meatballs.
The guide was knowledgeable about the Island, but it’s simply not what we expected based on photo and description,
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Dear Robin_D,
Please accept my apologies for the disappointment you experienced concerning the food. The meatballs on the pictures are made with beef from the island which was not available on that day, and I made the choice to serve local smoked chicken instead of imported meat. I am also sorry that you felt that our typical pastries were dried out when they were fresh and that is how we eat and like them on the island, but I am glad you enjoyed the passion the guide has for her island.
I hope you will still keep a nice memory of Martinique ✨

Kristelle knew her local animals, flora, and fauna! She was a wealth of cultural, historical, and societal knowledge. We feel like we know all about Josephine and Napoleon. 😊 Plus, she provided delicious local, and in many instances, homemade treats at each of the beautiful stops. Andre was a very good driver. Excellent tour!
Barrie_J, Dec 2024
Excellent, very personal tour with knowledgeable and friendly guide. Tour involves visits to lots of interesting places and flexible to meet needs
Alexandre_L, Nov 2024
Excelente tour, very engaging tour guide. Usually these tours is going to the food places, this one was very original, lots of great sights, and the food goes with us with a story in each location about the food.
Savannah_D, May 2024
Christelle was an incredible guide!! We were in Martinique for 6 days and this tour was the highlight! Delicious homemade food and drinks at stops along the way and we loved learning so many things that is hard to get without a knowledgeable tour guide. She was an excellent driver too as I tend to get motion sick especially on curvy roads and I didn’t at all with her driving. Thank you Christelle for the memories!

My husband and I went on this tour on our port stop with Virgin Voyages. We had such a great time on the tour - all the snacks and drinks were delicious and I love that they were made by Christelle. She did such a wonderful job giving us information about the island along the way! We learned a lot and enjoyed our time. The bus was also comfortable and cool on a hot day - perfect!
Robert_C, Mar 2024
Please note that the description of this tour is not accurate. The tour described no longer exists and the operator has not updated the description. Our 4 well traveled adults signed up for a private tour limited to less than 8 people. We were sent a note telling us where to meet. When we left our ship we found out the meeting place was 20 minutes away. We started there then received a call that the operator Christelle was back at the cruise ship. We went back and were surprised to find a bus with 20 participants. When I asked Christelle if this was the correct tour I was told we would exit the port and then use smaller vans. That was not the case. When I asked her about the 8 person limit, she denied that was the description. But when I showed her the listing on Viator, she acknowledged that it indeed was her mistake. We would not have stayed on the tour except that we were already out of the port. Christelle did get us a small partial refund which was inadequate considering the fact that the deceptive description wasted our only day in Martinique. The 20 person “cattle call” crowded bus tour we were on was something we would never have signed up for so it is hard to rate a tour we did not choose in the first place.

Christelle is a wonderful hostess. She helped us learn the history and culture of the island. In addition we got to sample delicious local food and drinks she prepared. It made for a great day. It is also a small group tour which makes it even more enjoyable.
Carol_P, Mar 2024
Very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Very fun day! Food was an added treat. She loves her island.
Brian_S, Mar 2024
Excellent tour. Completely met our expectations! Christelle was friendly, knowledgeable & eager to ensure we enjoyed ourselves.
Doree_A, Mar 2024
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful tour and drive through the rain forest stopping to see waterfalls and several scenic outlooks! Continued on with stops to other landmarks throughout the island. We loved our guide, Christelle, (she is also the owner operator). We also totally enjoyed having various local foods and or drinks at each stop! Christelle was a wealth of information regarding the history of the island and people!! Definitely recommend this tour!! On a side note- although we were on a cruise ship, we booked this tour through Viator and our guide met us directly at the port.
Jordan_W, Feb 2024
We had such a great experience touring around the island and trying different traditional dishes of Martinique! I recommend!
Aylin_M, Dec 2023
We had a wonderful time on this tour!! Martinique was one of the stops on our cruise ship and I’m so glad we picked this tour over the ship tours that were offered. It was intimate and very informative. Christelle is so knowledgeable and warm. The food and drinks she provided was yummy and traditional for the area. We had a lot of stops and driving through the lush rainforest was beautiful! If you are thinking of taking this tour, definitely do it!
Casey_K, Dec 2023
