Daniel our tour guide was wonderful. He kept everyone engaged in activities at each site. The stop at the waterfall and pool was a real treat. He gave great descriptions of each site and the history or significance.

This was the best excursion of our entire trip. Daniel is a very energetic person and his enthusiasm was contagious, especially at the Botanic garden! He started out our trip by contacting us a few days before to move the time to 30 minutes earlier knowing that our ship was going to be leaving port an hour earlier than originally scheduled. That in itself made us trust that he was looking out for us.
He even took us to an unplanned waterfall to have a "massage". He took pictures and videos for all of us. We really appreciated everything. He made sure we were back to ship in plenty of time.
Thank you Daniel!

Daniel was a very good guide and driver during the tour. He took us to places that would be hard to find with a rental car. His knowledge and enthusiasm when it comes to flowers and plants was also something that we liked a lot.

Today’s tour with Daniel was terrific. Daniel is an enthusiastic guide who makes the time go by very quickly. Whatever you guys are paying Daniel, you need to increase it.
I have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone.

The best tour and tour guide. We saw all major sights in a short amount of time, but never felt rushed. Everything was perfect: communication via Whatsapp, easy to find meeting spot, the sights, nature and information provided. Thank you for such a nice day. Highly recommend.

Sebastian was incredibly knowledgeable about the island. We thoroughly enjoyed the places we went to, and the detailed information about them. Highly recommend.

Daniel takes good care of every passenger especially at the waterfall. I have learned so much from his detailed and interesting introduction of native plants.

Wonderful time going all around the island of Martinique. We felt very safe and enjoyed exploring the island.

Great experience! Daniel was friendly, professional, engaging & informative. The locations were beautiful with fantastic photo opportunities. Highly recommended!

Daniel gives the best tour of Martinique! He's so energetic and passionate about nature. Highly recommend this your!
And Daniel is very good about working with cruise ship passengers. Much better than the ship excursions and cheaper.

We showed up 15 minutes early. We were Told to wait in the market. Looked to me like Daniel was still recruiting more passengers. We 'found' 20 participants in total so he subcontracted a third vehicle which our party was told to use. This was supposed to be a small group tour. 20 is not in my opinion a small group. One third of the way through the tour one of the vehicles went off on it's own. As mentioned in other reviews Daniel, who was not our guide while driving, was difficult to understand, due to his french accent and continuously ran ahead of the group. However Our subcontracted driver, Jordan, was very good. Not what I expected.

My Dear Robert Morisson thanks a lot to have taken from your precious time to write me that review. This day you were my last booking and the excursion was sold out and I
should have canceled that booking. instead of cancel your booking I welcomed you in a Private car for only your family. You had a fantastic day and you even swam in
the waterfall so this bad review it's just because you are allergic to happiness . For my other guest who will read this bad review just read the other 5 stars review from January 8th written on January 9th . All my other guest enjoyed that day and wrote me 5 stars review (with Sebastian and Jordan Guide) your guide was jordan which also has 5 stars review on my excursion you were 4 in your private van and 7 in each Minivan which had done their own excursion independently so I still don't understand your review . Furthermore about my "incomprehensible" English I'm working with viator since 2017 and 99% of my 5 stars review are from guests from your country, and mysteriously they all understood me, I even have 2 review about my witty . During touristic season I meet around 1000 guest so mathematically I have to meet one Freddy Krueger...

Sebastian was wonderful. We saw interesting buildings, a church, river, waterfall, botanical garden, rum distillery and stopped at a beach where Paul Gauguin painted. 6 of us were comfortable in his van. He gave us lots of information on nature, culture, and the history of Martinique. We can't imagine how our tour could have been better. We definitely recommend this tour.
STEFAN_S, Jan 2026
Daniel is the best. He is extremely knowledgeable about the island and its vegitation and he went way out of his way to make our trip interesting. If you make it to Martinique, it is a must to take his tour of the island!
Lisa_R, Dec 2025
We had the most amazing day with Ali and Terry. Our cruise ship cancelled our excursion and we booked this last minute based on the reviews and it definitely lived up to all expectations. The boat ride it self was so much fun, Sugar Bay was incredible, the mineral baths and mud baths was an experience and then lunch at Mama’s was like coming home. So cool to have a home cooked local meal cooked for us. Afterwards the waterfalls were so refreshing. And again, Ali and Terry were fantastic…gave local information, history, and kept every one happy.

Daniel was a great guide!! He was fun and took great care of us. Pushed us to do everything and he was right!! Places he took us were off the beaten path and not crowded!!
Jodel_G, Nov 2025
Great experience of course because of our excellent driver Jordan. Very well mannered, well posed, and patient. Did a wonderful job driving us around. The botanical garden was the main highlight for me. Daniel did a really good job educating us about the plants on the island. We did not feel rushed and we had time to take all the pictures we need. Per the tour description, the last stop was supposed to be a restaurant. I was under the impression that
We would eat and they will take us to the hotel after that. To my surprise , I was told that I can stay and take a taxi afterward to go back to my hotel. This is very misleading. I still give them a 5 because of the impeccable Jordan.
Jacqueline_S, Mar 2025
I wish I could give this excursion 5 stars, but I just can’t. We were rushed at every stop and barely had time to take any pictures and enjoy the scenery. Daniel is a high energy person who walks crazy fast, which made it difficult to keep up with his fast pace. Although I appreciated his “smash & smell” of various plants, I would have much rather taken the time to look at other things and be able to take some pictures. The distillery was a beautiful place, but not enough time to explore and learn more about the history. I stood at the counter for 5-10 minutes waiting to sample the rum, but was never once offered a drink. I finally had to speak up after watching the worker skip over several of us waiting, to dote on a few of the same individuals. The drive back to the ship was at breakneck speed, even tho we had plenty of time to spare. This made it very uncomfortable for us all, since there was 3 people per seat in the van. Be prepared to get close to whomever you are sitting beside. You may not know whom that will be either, as you are asked to play musical chairs and switch seats and rotate at every stop. This is so everyone has to take turns to be the one in the back of the bus. (Which isn’t easy getting in and out of.)
Response from Host, Mar 2025
The same bad review from the Jill Banbury's sister Jacqueline Seavolt so I will answer the same thing your cruise ship sells more expensive excursion where you will be sat all day in a bus with 49 other guests. If you are not able to walk it's better to choose a bus excursion. This day iin my excursion you were 8 passengers, and like all the other excursion we walk often but short time max 15 minutes per stop, and I always help my older guest . For the rum factory we have done a full and complete visit and I can bet with you that you are the one which tasted the exotic fruit I took for you because noone but your group came into the hidden spots I have done for you. In my tour every 90 minutes I do seats rotation like this every couple will enjoy the front seats, whatever you did not enjoy my excursion so please accept my apologies.
Jill_B, Mar 2025
Very rushed…would have been nice to be able to take pictures and look around at the stops. A lot of fast paced walking.
Response from Host, Mar 2025
My Dear Jill Banbury first thanks to have Chosen my excursion. After I will write this for my other future customers who will read this bad review. If you are unable to walk more than 3 minutes like jill Banbury do not book that excursion. Your cruise ship sells more expensive excursion where you will be sat all day in a bus doing photo with 50 other passengers. In my excursion this day. you were 8 passengers and we walked often but short time max 15 minutes by stops and I had 6 hours to show you the best of my island and drive you back 2 hours before your ship departure. This day I kept my planning on time and I even added an extra stop for your group. Yes my tour is active but I can be sure that in your 3000 passengers cruise ship only your group have seen what I showed you. So next time book a bus tour you will be sat all day and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Fluctuate nec mergitur

The guide Daniel, sent us a message before to tell us exactly where to meet him. The tour was well planned, had multiple stops, all were fun. The last stop was a beach with a lovely restaurant, and lounge chairs. I would recommend this trip it’s fun and a great value!
fani_d, Mar 2025
Fun filled day, plenty of sight-seeing but did not feel rushed. The guide, Daniel, was very knowledgeable about the various plants and spices that grow in the botanical garden we visited. We also enjoyed a swim in waterfalls, a church, beautiful views of the volcanoes and much more. Rum factory, but closed the day we went due to festival happening on the island but we got to see the place were run is made. It was the attention Daniel payed to all on the excursion and the little details that made the trip special.
Thank you for a wonderful day!
Gary_S, Mar 2025
Daniel was an excellent guide
very knowledgeable about the island and the botanical world
We had a fabulous day from the waterfalls botanical gardens rum distillery and the lovely beach restaurant and beach swim
LISA_S, Feb 2025
We had a great day in Martinique! Toured an old cathedral. Got to swim in a gorgeous waterfall. Drove thru the rain forest and took a short hike to a river. Covered ourselves in a natural clay scrub and then blasted it off with refreshing mountain water. Went to the botanical gardens for "smash and smell" which helped us learn more about the plants and flowers. Went to a local restaurant for fresh fish and then ended at the rum distillery. Daniel was very knowledgeable but also fun! He has endless energy and mad driving skills! He jumps right in at the restaurant and distillery to help the staff. We had somone who was handicapped on our tour and he was very helpful and kind so she could experience all the fun too. His helper Valerie at the gardens was very informative and sweet. Wear water shoes and a suit under your clothes or coverup. Make sure to bring something to take pictures...
.lots of beautiful scenery and plant life. Highly recommend this tour!!
Jennifer_S, Jan 2025
This was a fun day and very educational- especially if you like botany or learning about medicinal plants. We started out at the old church then went to the waterfall. You can see it from the road or climb down the steps to walk in the water. It’s best to wear water shoes/sandals that can get wet as some of the rocks are pointy. Next we went for a short hike through the rainforest next to the river. After that we went to the gardens- which were not the prettiest garden, but our guide had us smell and taste many plants there. Warn your guide if you have a latex allergy or don’t let them put the white sap from the rubber tree on you. Bring your mortar and pestle lol. There was a lot of walking at the garden and we walked in the rain. Next we went to DePaz rum distillery. We got to do a tasting and learned about more plants. After that, we went to a restaurant on the beach for lunch as a group. Beware the fish of the day may be served whole with bones and fins. Our guide talked up the sweet potato fries but the regular fresh cut fries were better.
Steven_P, Jan 2025
Great hand on tour. Went further than other tours and to off the beaten path experience. So you have proper expectations, you should expect tour to last the full six hours! Excellent
Tyrell_J, Dec 2024
We got to experience the holograms of Martinique, and we were pleased with the knowledge that Daniel was able to impart.
nancyaeschbach, Mar 2024
Daniel was great and you can tell that he loves his job. He takes you to places that aren't crowded - a waterfall and a river to play in, a botanical garden, rum plant, lunch at the beach. This isn't a tour for those with limited mobility - its active and I walked nearly 9000 steps. Very fun!
Joy_S, Mar 2024
Daniel showed us beautiful places on Martinique that were not crowded! We were able to hear the water and the birds without being overwhelmed with other tourists. He had great knowledge of the plants on the island, and shared that with us. It was the best tour that we had during our cruise! He is "high energy", so it is imperative that you are able to keep up with him.
Robb_M, Dec 2023
Great trip around Martinique with an excellent guide, Daniel. We enjoyed the gardens, waterfall and Rhum tasting.
Judy_P, Feb 2023
Daniel was the best tour guide on our entire 10 day trip. Engaging. Knowledgeable. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing all he knew. He handled the various levels of people’s mobility well. The rain forest and garden tours were the absolute best. Highly recommend
David_B, Dec 2022
Daniel is a great tour guide. He is well educated and we had a wonderful day. We can highly recommend his tour.
