Scenic Buggy Tour with Great Staff, But Not for Speed Seekers

We recently took part in a buggy tour in the Palm Tree Desert, and overall, it was a pleasant and worthwhile experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout the trip, which helped create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. While we had booked buggies and expected to be part of a dedicated buggy group, we found ourselves riding alongside quad bikes. Additionally, the pace of the tour was much slower than we anticipated. Those looking for a fast paced, adrenaline-filled buggy adventure may find this experience a bit too relaxed. There was also a lengthy, unexpected stop of around 30 minutes during the tour, which wasn’t clearly communicated in advance. After expressing our concerns to the guide, we appreciated the responsive customer service another guide was quickly arranged for us, which helped improve the experience. In summary, if you are seeking a calm and scenic ride to enjoy the desert surroundings at a leisurely pace, this tour is a good choice. However, if your priority is speed and thrill, this might not meet those expectations. That said, the professionalism and kindness of the staff made the trip enjoyable overall.

Catastrophic transport and total lack of professionalism

Very disappointing experience regarding the organization of the transport. The meeting place and time were respected on our side, yet the driver never showed up for the outbound trip. After contacting the manager, he first indicated that my reservation was scheduled for the next day, before finally saying that the transport had left without us due to a number error. I did not see any vehicle on site, however. We therefore had to manage on our own and pay for a taxi out of pocket for 2 people to reach the activity, even though this situation was absolutely not our fault. Once we arrived late, someone was waiting for us only because the scheduled group had already left. Unfortunately, the problem occurred again on the return: the transport left once again without us and without any assistance from the manager. We had to look for a taxi in an area where it is very difficult to find one and pay for the return trip out of pocket a second time. The manager had promised to cover the costs, which was never done. The activity itself was fine, but the entire experience was ruined by catastrophic transport management and a total lack of professionalism and support. Being left abandoned twice and having to manage everything on our own is unacceptable.

Ragazzi super carini, ci sono venuti a prendere davanti l’hotel e ci hanno portato in una zona dedicata a questo tipo di escursione. Il giro sul buggy dura circa un ora con una pausa foto e una per prendere il the. Le tre ore da loro descritte partono dal momento che ti prendono in albergo fino a quanto non ti riportano indietro. Percorso carino ma un po’ noioso (poche curve divertenti e tanti ritelineii). All’inizio non superavamo i 40 km/h ma dopo aver chiesto di andare più veloce abbiamo raggiunto anche i 60km/h. Vestitevi a modo perché ci si sporca e di non portate zaini o borse perché nel buggy non c’è uno spazio dedicato. Tutto sommato un’esperienza divertente anche se un po’ troppo costosa.

Attention au prix annoncé. On nous demande le double en espèce à l'arrivée.

Nous avons réservé pour 3 personnes. OK et payé 220 euros pour 1h de balade en buggy. À l'arrivée, on nous présente un seul buggy en nous disant que les 120 euros ne comprenait qu'un seul buggy ! Nous avons payé pour 3 personnes et à disposition le nombre de buggy nécessaire, donc 2 buggys. Logique pour nous, à la réservation nous payons pour 3 donc logiquement 1 personne ne doit pas rester sur la route puisque c'était payé. Bref une fois sur place, ils nous demande 120 euros en espèces pour pouvoir faire l'excursion. Au final, 240 euros pour 1h de balade, un peu l'arnaque quand même.....
