Excellent way to spend an afternoon away from the main domains . It’s about 20 minutes from Medina but so worth it !! The teachers were great , patient and knowledgeable with pottery making ! Highly recommended 👍

Quite far out from most places you might stay at in Marrakesh, so be smart with timings and taxis. Once you get there the workshop is very well kept and welcoming. During the 2 hours you do some hand clay modelling (get to keep these afterwards) and some clay modelling on the spin tables (don’t get to keep these). Both are fun and if there is something specific you are making they will happily help and without us realising, go beyond the allocated 2 hours. All in all a great experience.

Family owned business led by 2 sisters. Beautiful space. Multilingual (gave us instructions in English and another group instructions in French). Clear instructions and helpful with fixing our creations as needed. Most of the class was hand molding but we were able to experience the pottery wheel. Class was about 2 hours. Great value for the price.

This was a lot of fun. The class was informative, both in learning to use red clay to mould it how you wanted, and also moulding it when spinning as well. A must for anyone who wants to try something different in Morocco.

Very fun morning activity just a little north of the Medina - highly recommend using Indrive over a taxi to get here! Great quick multilingual lessons on how to work with clay and use the wheel, and hands on assistance to make things perfect!

Three sisters and a brother run this pottery shop. Offered great instruction and ideas for objects to create. Clay we super easy to work with. Many implements for shaping and decorating pieces. Loved using the pottery wheel. Need many days of you want your piece fired.

Great experience. Fun friendly, relaxing. Class starts with brief explanation of basic techniques and tools, left to your devices whilst instructors walk around and help out with advice. Then taken in turns to have a go on the wheel. Really great experience and lovely atelier. Would definitely recommend.

Miscommunication Led to Pottery never being shipped

After a somewhat fun experience there was some miscommunication on the payment required to get our pottery shipped to the states. When poor communication with final payment occurred, I reached out multiple times to rectify payment and settle the account so they could have a cleared account and we could have our pottery. They stopped communicating with me privately to solve this issue and send the pottery. But, this company did not find enough time to only reply to a review. It my hope that they, prioritize settling our pottery situation after this review; as it seems that reviews are the only thing they care about.

Really cute setting inside, was a bit awkward to find as the taxi driver didn't know where it was but locals were very helpful. We got a detailed demo by a lovely hijabi sister both in English and French, made our own pieces and had a go on the spinning clay machine (yay!) I recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting clay all over, it is messy but was a lot of fun!! Thank you

This wasn't exactly as I imagined but it was good. I had hoped to be closer to the sooks and with traditional handicrafters but this was not. First our driver could not find the location. We went around and around in circles and were half an hour late. They said they changed their location when I arrived but I am unsure this had anything to do with why we had a hard time locating it. It was well outside of the Medina/sook area. It was a very modern shop and did not explore any history of ceramics in Morrocco. They gave us ample time to create and helped quite a lot initially but then seemed to peter out with the help after a while. When it was time to use the pottery wheels it seemed rushed a quick and even less instruction. I was a little disappointed in how they presented a strong start but then seemed to trail off with help and interest as time went on. It was fun but expensive and really disconnected from Marrakech culture. This could have been a class in any city anywhere in the world. I wish it pulled more from the culture and was more of a cultural experience. I don't think they were deceptive, but rather my own expectations but I think it would be an excellent avenue for them to explore by making it more culturally relevant.

Hello Thank you for your comment for the location we mentioned the news on viator sorry if the taxi did not find it normally the driver must contact us to help him find it easily. We present our workshop as a space handmade and not traditional we did not say the traditional pottery for that it is necessary to visit the craftsmen we propose a unique experience in Marrakech and we have not made promises to our customers that they will make traditional pottery for the wheel it is the most complex technique it requires years of learning if you have not succeeded in creating an object the first time it is completely normal thank you for your time that took you to write your comment

Wonderful hands-on class for adults and children!

Truly special experience taking my two kids (ages 9 and 6.5) to this workshop. The sisters who run it were lovely, skilled, and comfortable working with adults and children. It remains one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. Plus it was nice to get off the beaten path to visit their studio space. Don’t plan to take your creations home, as there’s no time for them to be fired. But making them is fun enough on its own!

Thoroughly enjoyed making and designing our own pieces. There was about 12 people in the group, majority French speaking but the organisers made sure we knew what we were doing too! We were able to take our pieces home with us which was an added bonus. One thing we found quite difficult was getting a taxi back to the medina area as the workshop is quite a way from the centre however this is by no means a reason to not go! 10/10 and thoroughly enjoyed our first pottery experience.

This tour is run my 4 sisters and a brother from their ceramics studio. There studio. Is well off the beaten path but worth the while to go. I found out the pottery wheel is a lot harder than I thought, I was put to shame by a 6 year old next to me!!!! The operators are very patient and helpful. They are there to assist you in any way they can. Super helpful. The only negative was the tickets from Viator said 1700 for the class. It was actually 1600. They called me when we didn’t show up for the class. They were gracious enough to let us do the class the next day. I recommend this tour. Lots of fun.

Amazing experience! Very professional! I booked as a solo traveler and was the only one in the class on that date but the sisters were so friendly and even called my taxi to come pick me up! There was also a puppy there and it was just the BESTTTT

Definitely do this experience if you are in the area at the beginning your trip. I was in morocco and chartered a taxi there and back but it was well worth it. If you are visiting for about a week or so the gals will put your pieces in the kiln and have someone deliver it to your hotel/raid. If you're not in the area long enough for it to be cooked just enjoy the experience, either way I had a great time as a solo female traveler would absolutely do this again! 10 out of 10 experience.
