Comfort and fun

Abhinay_S, Mar 2026
This has been one of fhe best culturally immersice experiences of my life. The transportation was goos along with the stops on the way to the desert. I would hirjly recommemed private transfers. You have more flexibiliites to take photos and stop was you wish. The tents are equipped wth hot water which makes life so easy for two days in the desert.

Handled like lost & found luggage

Kerstin_K, Oct 2025
Long story short: communication with the company or rather with me was a desaster. Booked a tour starting at 9am, which started at 7:30am instead what I learned 12h before start and instead of 6 persons max I was with 17 people. I was thrown into minivans of other tour companies without explanation, 4 different groups in 4 days. Yes I did see all promised things in between and I reached Fès but for the price I paid I did expect a seamless experience not being handled like a lost and found luggage.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate it! We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Please note that you booked the shared budget tour, which means you share the vehicle with other travelers. This option differs from a private tour, where the vehicle and driver are exclusively for one group. Furthermore, our team informed you days in advance that the exact pickup time would be confirmed by the driver a day before your tour, which is standard for shared tours. Regarding the number of travelers, the maximum per booking refers to how many guests can reserve together, not the total per vehicle. The maximum capacity per vehicle is 17 passengers, and your tour operated within that limit. You received the service included in your selected option, and we’re glad you visited all the promised sites and arrived safely in Fez. Since we genuinely care about our guests and always want them to leave happy, our team also arranged an extra activity in Fez for you to enjoy at no additional cost. We truly value your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for all our travelers

An uneven experience but with great potential

CharlesAntoine_B, Sep 2025
My experience of this tour was quite uneven. I won't focus on the activities here, for which you can read the other comments; I am giving feedback on the tour logistics. Also I want to emphasize this travel agency really shined in their good communication and taking accountability. Being responsive to the hurdles (detailed below), they provided a partial refund, which I think attests to their own standards for good quality. Therefore, despite the rocky start, I am satisfied with this tour. Now in my personal experience, the first days had shortcomings with organization. For instance, the driver/guide did not speak the language of the booking; perhaps because of this language barrier, he provided no outline for the trip and gave no cultural or historical information about the destinations. With very little context, the stops became short Instagram breaks and did not honour the rich cultural heritage of the region. The group was also quite large (20 people), which made the transport overcrowded and uncomfortable. At one point, I was switched to another group without explanations. Those aspects of the trip were frustrating, but there was great comfort in the private accommodations that are exclusive to this tour (hence its higher price). The locations were fantastic. One exception is the second night, at the desert camp, as I mistakenly was placed in a shared room. On the last day, my experience was completely different. For the way back to Fes, I was with a small group of 10 people, in a comfortable van with a great view. The driver could speak both French and English. He communicated clearly with the group from the get go and provided ample information about the sites we visited. The group had fun and chemistry. That part of the trip was pleasant and carefree, and I do believe this is how the tour is meant to be. One look at the other reviews and it's clear people have had a memorable time. These trips through the Atlas mountains and the Sahara are a massive undertaking in terms of logistics. I think it's fair to say that in high season, hundreds of tourists every day book a tour to/from the same destination (Marrakech or Fèz) for three days; in comparison, very few will book a four day trip that have a different start/end destination, like this one. This is likely why the trip was uneven: you will likely take part in tours organized with different agencies for different crowds (who likely booked a three day trip without private accommodations). To accommodate your different itinerary, you will likely be swapped across groups with different guides, staying in different hotels. This is how the quality of your guides and groups and transportation can fluctuate, which would explain the uneven quality of my trip. But given what the other reviews say, my gut feeling is that my experience was the exception here, and that more likely than not you will have a great experience.

More that we could have asked for ✌️

Kieron_S, Mar 2025
If you haven’t already booked this, then do so right now. The experience was outstanding, and involved a lot more than described. Our guide/driver Mohammed was the best anyone could ask for; friendly, accommodating, helpful, supportive, informative and knowledgeable, funny, and always made sure we were safe, and where we needed to be. The entire journey was full of scenic stops, local culture, and geological wonder. Very cool 👌 The experience was out of this world. The entire group was amazed at the accommodation in the desert, riding the camels, and seeing the sunset/sunrise…very, very cool 😎 Well done Mohammed 🙌 You da man!

We signed up for this...

Erik_S, Feb 2025
We signed up for this tour with little knowledge of what we were getting. It turned out great. We were signed up for the 4 day tour from Marrakesh to Fes via the Merzouga dunes. It was the small group (6 or less people) with the “luxury” option. Our driver, Mustafa, was excellent. He always arrived on time, kept us informed, and offered his own insights along the way. We were the only ones in the van about half of the time. The tour company is large, so there were others that would join us at different parts of the journey. The accommodation (including the tent camp) were very nice. We would use this company again and highly recommend Mustafa.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

Thank you for your positive review! We’re so happy to know that you enjoyed your desert adventure with us and we hope that you have made unforgettable memories! We can’t wait to help you plan your next amazing journey!

Mohammed and Dissou are...

Fangxu_D, Jan 2025
Mohammed and Dissou are two experienced drivers and guides that help arrange the whole trip to the detail. This is a worry-free trip where they explain the itinerary clearly and alert wherever there might be travel scandal before you step out the comfortable vehicle. They also manage to introduce the cities, villages, mountains and more that you pass by. Benefiting from this, your road trip never gets dull. It is overall a good experience if you wanna spend two nights in Sahara to maximize your dessert tour.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

Better than expected

Alejandro_A, Oct 2024
In general everything was better than expected and I couldn't recommend this tour and operator enough. For starters we book a share tour but 3 of the four days where for my sister and I, which was quite a surprise and where amazed that the tour wasn't cancelled. The car had aircondition and all the drivers that we had where quite nice. Even though some spoke some broken english we manage to communicate and have a good time. Regarding the activities the first 2 days are Ok nothing astonishing along the way but a couple of nice stops. It is definitely the price you have to pay to get to the Sahara. The first hotel was the most aligned with our expectations, so nothing fancy but clean with OK food. The 2 days at the sahara was very nice, the camp included was way better than the standard camping that we where expected and more like glamping, the tend had private bathroom and shower and the bed was king size. The second night we stayed at a very nice hotel and a a 3 hours 4x4 ride around the desert which was very cool, and add to fact that ended up being a private one. The ride to fes is more driving that anything else with some Ok stops in the way. Even though there is a lot of driving involve in going to the sahara If you are up for it I would recommend this tour without a doubt

Amazing desert tour

Nancy_C, Sep 2024
This desert tour was truly amazing! We got to see Ouarzazate, Dades Gorges, Togdha Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou and everything in between! We spent 2 amazing nights in the Erg Chebbi - Merzouga desert including a jeep ride and a camel ride at sunset! Our driver Hassan showed us all the important sites, always offering to stop when desired and even to bargain for us! We were sad to switch drivers on the 2 last days but everyone was very nice! Would definitely recommend ☺️

Great 4 day trip

Viktor_S, Mar 2024
We chose this shared group tour as it was one of the few that offered a 4 day trip. We got an extra day in the desert with some "local sightseeing", which we appreciated. This made the trip more stress free and relaxing, as there is a lot of driving for long distances. We were not a part of the same group and driver for the whole trip, but changed groups (see details below). This was as expected, but the communication with the agency was not very good. However, everything worked out as planned, so I guess you have to trust the process. For the first two days we joined a 3 day group from Marrakesh to Fes. The third day we joined some other people doing a 3 day trip Fes round-trip (their second day of their trip). For the fourth and last day, this now "new" group joined a 3 day group from Marrakesh to Fes that departed the day after our us (their last day of their trip)

Marrakech to Fes desert tour

Eric_W, Jun 2023
We enjoyed surfing on the dunes with the kids and camel rides. We were disappointed that our guide was changed without warning during the middle of the trip and that we were shifted from a comfortable Ford minivan style vehicle to a cramped Highlander style SUV.

We signed up for the Small Group...

Sherry H, Nov 2017
We signed up for the Small Group Tour From Marrakech to Fes via Desert 4 days 3 nights. Our driver/guide was Hassan....he is a remarkable fellow and we thoroughly enjoyed our long days with him in the company's SUV. Over this time we gained so much respect for him and his purposeful, yet quiet manner. He's only 27 and oh so knowledgeable. Along the way, Hassan became our good friend as he delighted in sharing his world with us....and boy, are we grateful. We peppered him with questions about Moroccan and Muslim customs and traditions. His commentary was always thoughtful and considerate.....and very funny as well!! Enjoying his smile and laughter made the trip all that much better for us.... We were also fortunate that our tour group of no more than six was in fact, two....just us another plus in off-season tourist-ing. We had Hassan, and the SUV all to ourselves....a neat deal for us!! All total, we covered 1200 kilometers about 800 miles during the tour. We started in the foothills outside of Marrakech heading west through the renowned High Atlas mountains.....7500 feet at their peak. Hassan would stop along the way so many times for us with what he would call a Panoramic....time for stunning photos of the Moroccan countryside!! The hotels and meals were fine....not great mind you, but OK for what we expected. On our last day into Fes, Hassan not only offered to take us to the train station to secure tickets for us, he went inside to help with the communications....an invaluable assist for us. All in all....ours was a wonderful experience. Hassan is the best!!

Great experience

Lyne_C, Jan 2026
We loved our experience! The third day with our guide was memorable. The latter, attentive, showed us around a Bedouin village where we had tea.

Magic

Denise_M, Oct 2025
This experience is definitely worth it. Wait you have a lot of road but these are breathtaking landscapes. We chose the luxury version and the hotels...eat like kings with all the Arab luxury. Our drivers/guide Said and Moha both from Erfoud are very professional and careful on the road. By the way, the roads of the Atlas are in very good condition. Thrill seekers for Daddy's throat. Otherwise abstain....They made us see all the beauties of Morocco. The camp in the desert tres confo and the camel ride for the sunset, splendid. We have wonderful memories. Fes the climate is wonderful in early October. Denise and Cesar
