1. The tour company (Marrakech Life) is not responsive, they didn't send me the diver and pick up info at the night before the trip, I have to call Viator and the tour company multiple times in the late night (close to 11 pm local time) before my trip, finally got someone answer my phone, they had wrong pick hotel name. I am not recommended to use the tour company (Marrakech Life)
2. We paid for upgraded hotel room in Tinghir, however, the hotel room we had was dirty with AC dripping water for the whole night, clogged sink, smelly closet and mosquitos.
3. We paid for luxurious private camp in Sahara, however, the camp we had was with broken shower head, door lock is not working, flies and mosquitos. The driver gave us another camp, unfortunately, the toilet seat was broken and with someone's urine inside. The camp's wifi is not working, and I wasn't informed in advance.
4. All included breakfasts and dinners are not worth the value
5. Some of the lunch places we went during the trip are with a lot flies.
6. After 2 days on the bus, we were at Merzouga for less than 12 hours (including sleep time), not recommended to visit Sahara in the summer.
7. Bus drivers are nice and with good driving skills.

Very long driving.we spent around 15 hours for driving in a small van as 16 persons. The main activity is camel tracking in Sahara which involves around two hours of Camel riding and getting up at 4 am in the morning which is not mentioned in the itinerary. Camping facilities for the people who stayed in the ordinary tents were very poor. However, there will be no other way to make such a tour.

The experience was overall very positive, largely thanks to Yidir and our driver Jaafar, who were both excellent throughout.
While the tour was exceptionally well-organized, it felt overly commercial. The numerous shopping stops were frustrating—especially the second morning, where a two-hour carpet visit left us with very little time to actually explore the gorges.
Despite the "touristy" feel, the seamless logistics and the exceptional guide and driver make this a solid 4-star experience.

Just finished an unforgettable 3 day Sahara tour and it was easily one of the highlights of my Morocco trip. The landscapes were incredible, from the Atlas Mountains to the desert itself, and everything was well organised from start to finish.
A special mention to Simo, who was a friendly, engaging guide with great communication skills. He kept the group entertained, made everyone feel comfortable, and was always happy to answer questions or help out. Highly recommend this tour if you want an authentic and memorable Sahara experience.

My husband and I booked this tour to see more of Morocco in a short period of time. I’m so glad we did!! Our driver Hisham was amazing! He was friendly and informative throughout the tour. We booked the upgraded campsite and enjoyed the hot water shower and air conditioning available in our tent. We did feel the group stop for lunches were overpriced (usually between 120 and 140 dirham per meal) but agreed that we were helping the local economy. We loved the experience of riding the camels but we did have almost 2 hours of waiting in the dunes for the sun to set. I’d advise bringing a small bag with a blanket to sit on and maybe something to read 😉The night in The Sahara was much more comercial than we expected with 100’s of tour groups merging for the camel caravans into the desert camp. It was still a very special highlight of our trip! We also enjoyed the other stops along the way and felt we really got an education about Morocco, Muslims and the Amazigh (Berber) people.

Just do this!! We had an amazing trip with Wallid and his driver Hassan. They were the best guides who gave us special attention. I was traveling with my somewhat elderly mother and they were very attentive. Very professional and great planners. The tour has a LOT of driving so be prepared for that. But they do stop around every 2 hours for an attraction, meal or bathroom break. The bus only holds 16 so the groups are small and we quickly became friends. The camel ride was something we’ll never forget. 1 hr sunset ride across a corner of the desert to camp where we got dinner and music. The next day starts at 5 am with breakfast and then we set out on the camel ride again to get back to the bus. Then up to Fes, but stopped to visit monkeys and “Switzerland”. Defining a highlight of our Moroccan adventure!!

Ibrahim made this trip unforgettable. From Marrakech to the Sahara and ending in Fes, everything felt smooth and well taken care of. He was always checking in on us, making sure we were comfortable, and adjusting things along the way so we could enjoy every moment. It never felt like a typical tour, it felt like a real adventure. The drive, the stops, and the overall pace were just right, and you can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience. One of the highlights was camel trekking at sunset and riding ATVs at sunrise in the Sahara, moments we will never forget and easily some of the best parts of the trip. The hotel the first night was great, and the luxury desert camp exceeded our expectations. Waking up in the Sahara is something special. If you’re thinking about doing this trip, ask for Ibrahim, you’ll be glad you did.

Pros and Cons I wish I had known. Be prepared for a cramp, completely full small van but we had a great guide and driver with lots of stops. We had to eat at certain stops for overpriced, bad buffet food (about $13pp). However, the site seeing stops were interesting (great local guides) and the first night hotel was awesome. The Sahara experience was unique. We took the camels out to the camp and opted to pay for the sunrise ATVs back, which was great (highly recommend $40 single, $50 double). We unfortunately had a terrible camp experience that included 60 college kids. The camp had a DJ and was a rave all night. We had been excited about stargazing and the disco lights completely ruined that. And quite annoying when you have to be up at 5am for the sunrise experience. The luxury tents were lovely, the food was awful. Would I do it again, probably, maybe?

Booked a tour in English but the driver spoke no English. No attempt was made to provide any context or insight throughout the entire 3 day journey. The landscape was stunning as we drove along but it was very much a mystery what we were looking at. The language barrier also resulted in a lot of confusion about the agenda, especially when it came time to ride camels and ATVs. We missed out on riding ATVs because the driver never told us that we had to buy a ticket in advance. We also had to leave our luggage in a large pile to be transported to the camp and some luggage was sent to the wrong camp resulting in a lot of frustration.
Additionally, it is misleading to call this a small group tour. It is true that the van carries less than 15 people, but you end up traveling in a convoy of other vans and large tour buses that all stop at the same tourist traps along the way. Many of the stops are just high pressure sales pitches for carpets, rose products, etc disguised as tours. Be very careful at the monkey stop. The locals handing out peanuts will harass you for money if so much as look at a monkey. A proper guide could have warned us of this, but we did not have such a luxury.
Overall, the itinerary is good, but I would look for other operators that have more proficient guides that prioritize local insight rather than milking guests for money.

Amazing experience exploring southern Morocco. Picked up directly from Place Mellah in Marrakech (very close to our hotel), we travelled towards our first main destination of Aït Benhaddou. The town was visually interesting and we were told a lot about its construction and position in the film industry. Honestly it was the highlight from the day. Sid an amazing place.
Kalaat M’Gouna (Flower City) was our evening stop and the hotel we stayed in was well equipped, but could do with a bit of a face lift. Nonetheless, there were good views of the area and the terrace was a good spot to relax in the sun. It has also has a pool, but it is basically an ice bath. Staff were friendly.
A relatively early get up at 7:30 and we made our way for a humble breakfast before jumping back in the van. We stopped at Todra Gorge and had a local guide for here and Tinghir, where we wandered through and entered a Berber house. They explained to us about carpet and tapestry making in the village. You are under no obligation to buy anything (the carpet-seller even said this), but for those who may want to purchase something and do not have the space to fit for the suitcases, they do send it internationally. There was a buffet lunch in Ferkla El Oulia and a stop for souvenirs in Melaab (we dressed in traditional Berber wear and had a group photo in the road). We had many stops along the way in our group, which broke up the journey nicely.
We reached Merzouga in the mid- to late afternoon. We had to leave whatever belongings we needed for the camp outside a building. The vans cannot transport them across the Sahara to the luxury camp we stayed in. This may be slightly disconcerting for people, but trust them. They do this everyday. The process was organised chaos, but we received them at the camp later with no problem.
While the bags were being transported with 4x4, we took an hour camel ride to a dune for some sand-boarding while we waited for our quad bikes to arrive. I am a bit of an adventure seeker and sadly we couldn’t ride the buggies a bit quicker, but I understand the safety elements and how difficult it is for the locals. We took them to a sunset spot before riding them back to camp.
The tents in Merzouga were unreal. Accommodation was idyllic and we got bumped up to Premium, which was a nice surprise. The food was class and we had a beer and chilled in the camp and danced with the locals.
Early get up for the final day: 4:30 a.m.
5 a.m: Breakfast — 5:30 a.m.: Camel ride to the see the sunrise. Back to the Merzouga town to collect our luggage. We said goodbye to our group and driver (Youssef), who were heading to Agadir, and jumped in another car to Fez with (Lüzy - I am sorry I cannot spell it).
This day, we knew would long, but after a pitstop in Er-Rteb, we went all the way to Zaida. Amazing scenery through the Atlas Mountains on the way. Food was a kebab / butchers. Before reaching Ifrane (town where King Mohamed VI likes to sejourn and it is incredibly clean / honestly makes you feel like you are in the French Alps), we had a chance to see a group of macaques off-road. Then Lüzy drove us all the way to our hotel and ensured we had a hotel manager / employee to pick us up and walk us to our hotel. The old town of Fes is a medina and is therefore walled and almost impossible for cars to get in!
The trip overall was 10/10. We enjoyed every minute of our excursion from start to finish. The activities were varied, the accommodation and food were very good, but for me it was the conversations with people in our group or local Moroccans that made it. We always felt respected, safe and well-looked after. See below more about our drivers:
Youssef (our main driver) was very welcoming. His motto for us was: “Your job is to enjoy Morocco.” He was always in a good mood and if we had a problem/question, he would answer or ensure that he found an answer. He was exactly what you needed as an intermediary. We left to join another car on the third day, and he ensured to give us his number if any problems occur. Very reliable. He waited with us until the exchange happened. Youssef was also a great driver and knew the roads so well. Top bloke.
Lüzy was also a great guy and told us a few things about the area from Merzouga to Fez. He was flexible when we asked him to keep driving and he was happy to do so. He also took me to a pharmacy and was on the phone to the accommodation to arrange pick up.

We had Youssef Z as our driver, and he was a very good driver. The tour was wonderful and definitely worth the price. Lots of hours on the road, but it pays off because of the amazing sites and stops along the way. Some things you have to pay extra for that weren’t mentioned beforehand, but we were happy to pay the small amount for the extra experiences and people that gave them.

Overall a pretty good experience and the tour was decently managed, covering most of the more interesting places in Morocco. Some aspects to take note would be to consider going for the deluxe tent, since it is quite a difference compared to the normal tents, which have shared toilets and lack warm water for showering. Also, there are some typical tourist "traps" where the locals force a service onto you without saying anything and expecting a tip. Otherwise, the tour is good and generally worth.

This tour is an incredible way to explore the beauty of Morocco. We saw amazing places: Ait Ben Hadou, Atlas mountains, Tinerjir, Kalaat Mgouna, Todra Gorge, Merzouga desert, monkey forest. Our driver, Youssef was very helpful and attending.
What I liked most is what people complain about; the long drive associated with the tour. We saw so many diverse landscapes. We were riding the camels under the scorching sun in Sahara, and few hours later we were playing with the snow in the Monkey forest.
Potential recommendations:
A microphone can be added in the van so that every passenger can hear the explanations of the driver.
Sometimes we felt we were in a rush. I wish we had more times in some places, for example in Ait Ben hadou.

Tour guide was fun and informative and the stops were truly enriching! Ait Ben Haddou was a wonderful stop as was the Berber village and seeing how the carpets are made. The highlight though, the camel ride and desert camp, the sand boarding in the Sahara, just cannot be described in words. You must experience this for yourself! There is a calm magic in the desert. A feeling on connectedness. I’ve never seen so many stars in my life! I met new friends on this journey and made
memories that will surely last a lifetime. I have no complaints whatsoever about this trip. In true transparency I will mention that the bus was packed and pretty uncomfortable. There is not a lot of space for bodies. Many of us complained that the seatbelts dug into our butts and thighs. But if that’s the worst, this is still a 5 star review!

Five stars are not enough! Youssef was our driver and guide, and he was terrific. I can only say that this trip was one of the top five experiences of my 65 years -- and I'm very well-traveled. The camel trek through the desert to the Berber camp, then sunrise over the dunes the next morning -- OMG! An memory that will last a lifetime. Great 3 day trip overall to see lots of Morocco. A good diversity of activities, including cultural events, natural beauty and learning about Moroccan history.
We travelled by a minivan with about 12 others from a mix of countries. The stops were adequate every 2 hours, and included a diversity of activities. Highlights of the trip were the gorge, the excursion with the local Berber guide and the camels in the Sahara desert.
The accommodation was very nice both nights, particularly the tent in the desert was truly luxury with a bathroom and shower.
Hadi and rachid were excellent hosts and very responsive to everything we needed. They even got us back to fez despite a snowstorm on our last day by taking a detour.
Overall highly recommend as a quick way to get a good overview of Morocco’s interior with a fun group of travelers.

We booked the luxury/superior experience and had an outstanding time. It was the highlight of our trip and likely the highlight of the year. Youssef, our driver, picked us up in a freshly washed skoda station wagon with leather seats so we were thoroughly comfortable for the extensive drive. We made several stops for short tours or breaks along the way which were all well timed with biological requirements. The times that there were “buying opportunities” we were never pressured to buy anything. Our hotel stay was a tastefully gorgeous bnb well off of the busy road. The Merzouga portion was amazing and will go down as a lifetime memory. Moreover, the tents had an en suite restroom and heating!!! Youssif came out of his shell at the desert party and lead the dancing for all of the people there regardless of who was their tour leader. Whenever there were larger group events, he went out of his way to get us special service from saving seats, sourcing pillows & blankets and getting us fresh food at the buffet. On the return we stopped at a buffet roadside location, and he introduced us to the owners and had all separate fresh food delivered from the kitchen rather than from the buffet. And on an earlier lunch stop we were seated alone by a pool with water elements with a gorgeous valley view. Youssif made our experience amazing and we’re deeply thankful that we stretched our budget to go all out.

We had a great trip with Ali Tinjdad as our guide and Anas as our driver. Local guidesat a few of the sites were also entertaining! Seeing heavy snow as we crossed the High Atlas Mountains was amazing; fortunately snow plows kept the road clear. The UNESCO site Ait-Ben-Haddou was great and the camel ride/desert stay was the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the Luxury Camp and our tent was completely comfortable with heat (standard wall mount heat pump) and private bath and shower with plenty of hot water.
A few stops provided the opportunity
to purchase souvenirs, but there was no pressure and they were educational. Our family purchased a beautiful rug for what I consider a fantastic price.
One word of caution is that this trip covers long distances and many hours in a mini-bus. You can find the desert camp Merzouga on Google Maps, but the long drives are worth it!

It was an amazing trip for our family, really enjoyed having a white Xmas driving through the snow capped Atlas mountains and riding camels to watch sunset and sunrise on Sahara sand dunes. All other atractions included in this tour are also great to explore. We are overall very satisfied with the tour organisation and quality. Highly recommend this for those who like adventures!

I am female and traveled alone, but never felt unsafe. Younes was my guide and went out of his way to accommodate me. Ended up with a bunch of lovely travelers in our group and had a great experience. It was the end of December and pretty cold, but lots of layering did the trick. The one thing I forgot was gloves which does not seem to be readily available in Morocco - or at least not where I was.

Since we were headed to Morocco in November and weren't sure what kind of weather to expect in the desert, we opted for the Premium/Luxury upgrade of this tour (a treat!) and it was well worth it. We saw some incredible sights throughlout and our driver, Simo, was lovely and so patient with all the stops that my photographer husband was keen to make along the way. The hotel accomodations were terrific - we had the best time meeting the Canadian hotel owner in Tiziri - and the fancy desert tents, with all the shower amenities you could need, were a fun experience as well. (Just enough time on a camel to make our way there, also - no need for an epic trek). Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see a big cross-section of the country without all of the hassle of navigating your way across such a long distance.

First of all: This tour is a lot of driving. Like A LOT. But it was well worth it and I would wholeheartedly recommend it! We only had 10 days to explore the country and not the biggest budget, so the 3 day desert tour fit in just right to see a bit of the stunning Atlas mountains and have a taste of the desert. The camels for the camel ride to the camp seemed well taken care of and on all the touristic stops our guide worked together with local guides and communities. So although it's touristic, the money seems to end up in the right hands. We had a great time thanks to a great group chemistry and our amazing guide/driver Ayoub. He did such a great job helping us to immerse and understand the Amazigh ways. And has a good sense of humour which we appreciated.
