Overview

Take a break from Marrakech and book this cooking class in the Atlas Mountains. Stunning day in Imlil Valley

My girlfriend and I wanted to escape the heat in Marrakesh, so we decided to book a trip to the Atlas mountains. Our driver Hassan und our guide Mustapha picked us up from our Hotel and our journey began. At first, only a few kilometers from Marrakesh we stopped at a argan farm where we got a lot of information about argan seeds and the products made of it. We even got a little breakfast and got to try some of the cosmetics. On the way to the mountains we had several stops to take pictures und learn about the history of the Berber folk. Mustapha always made sure we had enough water and answered all our questions. As we arrived at Imlil we met Mustapha‘s lovely family and made Tajine with his mother. We had a lot of fun as the children of Mustaphas brother were making fun of us peeling and cutting vegetables. ;) Don‘t get me wrong, it was a nice atmosphere and we really enjoyed it. :) During the Tajine cooked Mustaphas brother took us for a little hike around the valley and we made lots of beautiful pictures. When we came back we finished the food and ate our selfmade Tajine. To sum up we really enjoyed the trip and we can totally recommend it! :)

Nicht wirklich ein Kochkurs

- Der grosse Markt war nicht geöffnet, so haben wir mehr erwartet. - Safran, was in den Gerichten enthalten sein sollte, musste explizit nachgehackt werden. Sonst wären wir bei Kurkuma stehen gelassen worden. - Andere die beim Trip ähnliches machten, aber anstatt selber kochten und dafür Kamel ritten haben die Hälfte gezahlt. - wir haben am Markt sogar Sachen gekauft, die nichtmal in den 2 Gerichten enthalten waren - Die Vorspeise gabs gar nicht - Vom Kochen selber haben wir nicht wirklich Details dazu bekommen sondern vorallem Gemüse gerüstet. - der ganze Tag bekamen wir nur 1x Tee, 1x Orangensaft (auf eigenen Wunsch am Ende des Tages), 1x kleines Wasser + der Organisator am Schluss im Bus gab uns noch Eindrücke vom Leben der Berber. War super spannend + es war immer pünktlich + schöne Wasserfälle + sehr schönes Ambiente zum Essen
