Good trip but....

The pick up was easy but unfortunately we were told a specific time to meet the minibus, which was then changed at the last minute. We had a good day overall but the minivan broke down as we were about to leave to come home. The replacement transport did arrival within the hour but we were given very little information as the driver didn't speak English. In the end we arrived back about an hour late and got dropped off near the main square. We then had to make our way to our accommodation as we weren't dropped off at our pick up point as we expected. At least we got back without too much drama.

Long but interesting day trip from Marrakech

I appreciated the clear advance messages I got from the operator re pick up time and place, and that there wasn't a long wait between pick-up and the tour vehicle setting off. The trip itself includes (c3 hour each way) minibus travel to and from Essaouira, with a stop at a service station midway (and an extra stop at an Argan outlet on the way). Once you are dropped off you have c4 hours to do your own thing. (i.e. there is no guide or commentary/recommendations from the driver - but he did point out the Tourist Information - but that was unstaffed when I went in). However, I did find Essaouira an interesting place to walk around, have a nice meal in, and spent time on the sandy beach.

Essaouira is a beautiful, quiet, and slow paced town. A very welcome refresher from the big city. The tour of the argan “factory” was cute and the tour guide and saleswoman were amazing. However, I would never book this transit again. The bus was supposed to leave Marrakech at 830 and return by 530. We were picked up a 5 minute walk away from our Riad. After pickups, moving us to a different bus, and the driver stopping to get gas, we did not leave town until 930 and were returned to our pick up spot at 9pm (we didn’t even leave Essaouira until 5pm because we didn’t get there until 1). The main reason we booked this was because the ad said the busses had a/c, but the driver said it did not and it was devastatingly hot. Understandably the people at the front of the bus became too windswept from the highway speeds to leave the windows all the way open and only three windows at the front of the bus opened. We made sure to wait for the bus early on the way back to ensure we were at the front for the return, but we had no control over this in the beginning.

Great price, but no AC

It is definitely worth the price for a comfortable trip with some educational aspects. Our driver was very polite and spoke multiple languages to accommodate the group. Minus one star because the bus was not as advertised — it got up to 35°C in Essaouria but there was no AC on the bus—needless to say, it was not the most comfortable transportation. Also, it said it would be wheelchair and stroller accessible, but the van was not.

Dear traveler the trip to Essaouira was full of positive energy and Relaxing moments, fresh seafood, Argan oil process, rugs on the walls totally a different beautiful vibes. Regarding the Wheelchair accessibility we use another Bus that has its access, so it's available in case we have a traveler who need it we use the other bus. For the air-conditioner we recommend all our travelers to remind or tell the driver to turn it on the driver does only what travelers ask if you don't tell him he thinks you are okay. It's not a tour There is no guide Simply a very punctual and cautious driver drives you from Marrakesh to Essauira with the stop at the cooperative. Find the same tour for much less since it is just a transfer
