My husband and I were so warmly welcomed into Yassine’s home. We had a wonderful time cooking with him and his sister, Miriam. Everything was very informational, relaxed, and delicious. We would absolutely recommend this experience to everyone and will gladly return someday!

Amazing experience being invited to Yassine's home, meeting his family while learning about spices and cooking Moroccan food. The food was amazing! Very good with children. Yassine kept them engaged throughout. We chose this activity for a rainy day and found it a very good value family experience. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience taking a Moroccan cooking class in Marrakesh, where I learned how to prepare a traditional dish called Tangia from scratch. The whole experience was authentic, fun, and incredibly rewarding. The session started with an introduction to local ingredients, spices, and traditional cooking techniques unique to Marrakech. Yasir was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable, making the process easy to follow even for beginners. I especially enjoyed learning how Tangia is cooked to develop its deep, rich flavors and tender texture. This experience was more than just a cooking class; it was a wonderful way to connect with Moroccan culture and traditions. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Fantastic food, it was the best meal we ate in Morrocco and Yassine was knowledgeable and friendly. We shopped at his local corner shop and butcher and used spices from his family’s farm. The class is held at his family home on the roof terrace so gives an insight into how Morrocan’s live. The only thing to note is it’s quite far out of central Marrakesh so our taxi was 150 d each way.

This is a wonderful experience! Yassine and Mom host you in their home. Yassine provides so much information about spices and then works with you to cook an absolutely delicious meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and lots of fun. I highly recommend!

Yassine greets you as if you’re friends. Puts you at ease and is very relaxed. We first had mint tea and he described and explained the spices that we would be using. He answered any questions we had on the Moroccan culture. The food was exquisite. Cannot wait to try these recipes back home. If you enjoy taking cooking classes while travelling, this one is a must. It definitely ranks as one of the best that we’ve ever taken while travelling. Thank you Yassine!

Our family of four with two teenagers had one of the most enjoyable experiences cooking with Yassine! The dinner was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing, and Yassine and his mother are so gracious, warm and welcoming. The class is in their family home which is only a short taxi ride from the Medina and it was very convenient. As we were cooking in their spacious third floor open kitchen we caught a beautiful sunset and saw children playing in the neighborhood. We got to experience Morrocan daily life outside of the Medina and we felt lucky. Would most definitely recommend this experience.

As Yass teaches in small groups, this really gives you the chance to ask questions and understand the traditional tagine cooking! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Marrakech

I can’t say enough about our experience withYassine. We enjoyed the cooking class in his family home and meeting his parents as well. His sister was helping him and she was lovely too. It was so informative. He spent so much time going over all the spices and explaining where the best places to buy, what things are and what to look out for and not to buy The food was absolutely delicious. The experience was so authentic. we were actually supposed to do a different cooking class but had a double booking and had to make a last-minute change to this one and we are so happy that we did. It was a great hands-on experience and we learned a lot. I highly recommend!

Genuine Moroccan Experience with the most lovely family

My wife & I had a lovely afternoon cooking with Yassine and his family at his home. Firstly Yassine was very kind to accept our booking on the day as another Chef had let us down last minute. We took a short taxi to meet Yassine (only 50 Dirham) and when we met he helped us choose all the ingredients from the local market shops explaining which were the best ones. He then took us to his house and was really informative telling us about all the spices used in Moroccan cooking. He then showed us how to make a lovely beef tagline with spiced carrots, fava beans, preserved lemon potato salad and strawberries for desert. The food was absolutely delicious! Also whilst we were there his Mum and sister were cooking in the kitchen and kindly gave us some of the food they were preparing to taste too (equally delicious)! Yassine and his family are just the most genuine, funny and lovely people you could wish to meet and we felt honoured to be welcomed into their home. As it was Ramadan Yassine was worried about our ability to get a taxi when we finished so dropped us back to our Riad himself. If you want a genuine Moroccan experience with a lovely welcoming family book this, I guarantee you will not regret it!

From the moment we booked (last minute) till the moment we left - and after; Yassine was amazing. He helped us with the taxi apps to get there, we were warmly welcomed into his home by the entire family and we cooked the best food we had of our trip. Yassine, his Mommy and family were incredibly inviting and accommodating for our group of 12 people. He and his family even made special arrangements for one of our group who was on crutches and in a wheelchair. If you are mildly interested in cooking or eating I would recommend this activity. Yassine has worldly experience both from the techniques of cooking and his travel around the world. Personally I wanted to understand Moroccan way of life through their food. We made 4 dishes and each one unique it's preparation and taste. The crown was the beef Tagine cooked with dates and preserved lemon. There is a little tidbit of information from his lovely parents as well. They are a very welcoming bunch and I am sure it will be an enjoyable experience for all. Yassine is attentive to detail and helping with logistics of getting there. I would highly recommend this experience

He speaks perfect English and is an expert cook: we learned how to recognize spices, quality argan oil and a lot of cooking secrets. My Mom and I signed up for Yassine's class to bring back the knowledge of how to prepare a classic Moroccan meal using a tagine. Yasmine delivered beyond our expectations. Him and his family welcomed us with open arms and were very hospitable. Yassine took the time to explain what to look for when selecting your produce, how to properly clean and prepare each ingredient. Very thorough and we greatly appreciate the tips and tricks along the way to make preparation easier in addition to the reasoning behind various steps in the process. Our end result of great instruction was the best tasting meal we had while in Morocco. You cannot find a meal fresher than a home cooked meal shared with a local family. If you are looking for a tagine cooking class while in Marrakech, this is the one. Thank you so much Yassine for your great instruction and sharing your home with us.

Immediately received a warm welcome into his family home, we then sat and enjoyed Moroccan sweets and mint tea before beginning the course. Having taken us to the market stall to select ingredients, we learnt to cook 3 salads, a delicious lamb tagine and a fruit salad dessert. Yassine speaks perfect English and chatted to us throughout, as well as taking lovely photos of the experience. We then sat down to enjoy our food with his family- who were so welcoming and friendly. The course not only taught us to cook but also offered a true glimpse into Moroccon life and it felt a privilege to be able to experience it.
