What To Expect

After booking your chosen tour date, meet your driver at your hotel in Marrakech, and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the Agafay desert, a region of barren hills and plains south of the city.

Your tour includes round-trip transport so you can skip the hassles of cabs, self-drive, or buses. And by taking you to the Agafay for dinner, it lets you experience the desert without a long and arduous trip to Morocco’s distant Saharan sands.

Not quiet as described but enjoyable

Booked this expecting it to be a private meal in the desert - understood there would be others there but expected there to be more space between groups. As it was the transfer to/from was private but we sat in a wooden building open on one side with about 20-30 other people, not spaced out. If you want a quiet romantic evening then be aware there will be almost contact entertainment. We enjoyed the evening but it wasn't as described - no dining under a tent, no private space between groups and not a quiet evening.

We have only been in Morocco for a short period and had no time to visit the Sahara desert, so we thought the Agafay desert would be a nice option. And it was. It was a magical experience to have dinner at a beautiful, nicely decorated location. The food was delicious, sky was clear and there was fantastic live music. It was inspiring to hear the stories of real nomads and the story of how Ismail and his team set up the wonderful Al kamar camp. From next week on it is possible to stay for the night, and we would really like to come back for that!

Le prestataire n’est pas venu nous chercher à l’hôtel , il ne répondait pas au téléphone , nous avons également appelé Viator qui n’a pas réussi non plus à le joindre. Viator nous a dit que nous serions remboursés mais la soirée a été gâchée .

Wir wollten unseren Hochzeitstag am 10.10.24 mit dieser Veranstaltung feiern. Wir warteten an einem Markt auf die Abholung. 5 Minuten vor dem Abholtermin wurde unser Ausflug seitens des Anbieters einfach storniert. Und so standen wir an unserem 15. Hochzeitstag da. Nur Dank unseres Riads haben wir es mit einem privaten Kontakt in die Wüste geschafft. Dieser Anbieter ist nicht seriös!

Tolles Erlebnis

Wir wurden sehr pünktlich von einem sehr netten Fahrer abgeholt. In der Wüste hat er uns den Sonnenuntergang gezeigt, den wir genossen haben. Der Ort der Veranstaltung war wunderschön mit Lichtern geschmückt. Das Essen war wunderbar. Die Musik war lustig. Danach saßen wir noch unter dem Sternenhimmel. Dies war eine wirklich schöne Erfahrung. Wir können es sehr empfehlen!
