Great town but very long journey

It was a really lovely town, some really nice seafood and the short walk on the wall is nice with the breeze but it’s like 3 to 4 hours drive, so travelling 8 hours to spend 4 hours there, I think it’s worth it to see the town but it’s really tiring for little pay off

Broken seatbelts and distracted driving

There are many police check points along the main roads to ensure all passengers wearing seat belts. Since I was one of the last ones to be picked up, i had to sit in the last row of the van. Before departing, the driver told everyone to fasten seat belts. When he came to the last row, he told us that he was aware that two seat belts were broken. He told us to hold the belts manually so that it would appear to be fastened should police check. I am not sure if there are any broken seat belts in the front rows. I just felt very uncomfortable and unsafe in those 5+ hours of ride during the day knowing the seat belts not functioning. In addition, since we have 15 passengers today, two had to sit in the front. Both of them kept talking to the driver. I felt that the driver is constantly distracted. He should have told them to hold off the questions at the rest stops but he continued to engage. Then later, the driver himself took out the mobile and talked on the phone. The broken seat belt, along with distracted drivinng, I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe the entire trip.

Nice experience

Pros: Essaouira is a beautiful city. The beach, the weather, and the medina were all very nice and definitely worth visiting. The drive is quite long, but there are a few breaks along the way, so in the end it feels manageable. Cons: Our driver, Ismail, was very polite and kind, but he was only a driver. We received absolutely no information about the city, what to visit, or where to eat, which would have been very helpful. At the end of the trip, he also insisted that we give him a good feedback, which felt a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the car was not working, so the return journey was very hot. Also, the description mentioned a break in a field of argan trees and a panoramic viewpoint, but neither of these stops happened. We stopped twice (once each way) at gas stations for food and coffee, which were extremely expensive. We also stopped at an argan cooperative, which was actually a very nice experience with good explanations from a lady there. However, the prices were much higher than in the medina. Overall: Essaouira itself is wonderful and worth the visit, but the tour could be better organized, more informative, and more transparent about the stops. With some improvements, this trip could be much better.

Wonderful experience. Edam was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. Car was comfortable with air conditioning, clean. We stopped at interesting road stops for coffee, they were tourist friendly. Zaid was our tour guide in the city. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the city, the Muslim religion, and the cultures of Morocco. He catered the tour to our interests, including architecture and culture, to name a few. The city is beautiful, but we were able to appreciate another historical and cultural level thanks to Zaid.

Essaouira

Nice day out in Essaouira, but be prepared for a long journey. We were picked up at 7.40am and we arrived in Essaouira at 11.40am. Stopped for a brief comfort break and then an argan oil co-operative along the way. I don’t want to discourage anyone from spending at the women’s co-operative, but the prices for the amlou and the honey were obscenely expensive. The amlou was easily available in Essaouira for less than 1/3rd of the price. In Essaouira we spent a pleasant four hours wandering the medina, eating at the fish grills and having a glass of wine overlooking the beach. Our driver Yassine got us there and back safely. A decent day out!

This trip is really well worth doing. Essaouira is so beautiful and was the highlight of my trip. The medina is very different to the medina in Marrakesh and while I love Marrakesh is was nice to enjoy something more peaceful and relaxing. Omar my driver was amazing. Was right on time for pick up, was funny and engaging. Essaouira is a must see. Its a long drive there and back but definitely worth it to provide a different taste of Morocoo not too too far from Marrakech

Beautiful Essaouira

We had a fantastic from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech at Essaouira. Our driver Hamza was on time and took good care of us. He was a very good and diligent driver and never went above the speed limits. The cost of oils at the Argan oil co-op was high. However no one forces you to buy. Essaouira was a stunning coastal town with amazing views and winding pathways within the Medina. Our guide Mohamed was very helpful and took us through a guided tour. The lunch at the restaurant with incredible views of the ocean was a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely would recommend Essaouira day trip if you are for a short break in Morocco.

Great city with a small group

Overall this was a lovely trip. There were only 8 of us which made it friendly and easy to keep everything on time. The stops leading up to Essouira were good, and the city itself is fab. Our guide gave us 4 and a half hours there which was more than enough. We found an authentic restaurant Tiskala in the centre that we would strongly recommend. The only let down was the guide, his driving was a little scary and he didn’t tell us anything about the history or give any recommendations - he just told us to Google it! Otherwise we had a great day and with a stronger guide it easily could have been 5 stars.

Relaxing day out - ocean, fishing port, Medina’s markets and fresh fish for lunch - we enjoyed our trip! Our driver was friendly and informative and has driven us safely both ways. We stopped in Argan Oil Cooperative, then we have 4 hrs free in Essouira which we spent wondering in the town and walking on the beach. Nice escape for a day from bustling Marrakesh, exactly what we needed.

Not good trip but excellent visit of essaouira

Essaouira was great. However the trip in the bus was horrible. Seats were broken No Aircon even when I had to ask twice to have it put on it did not put out cold air so was very hot. Driver was very different driving back compared to going. His driving was not pleasant and irratic. Essaouira is well worth going to but not on this day trip. So hence 2 stars for the trip but ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Essaouira

Tour was a long day. Essouira was interesting but we left too late 8.20. It needs to leave early and get back early. We arrived back at 9pm and had a tyre pop on the way back. It could have been an accident but the driver was skilled. There were people that made me uncomfortable on the way home whistling and singing out of tune over the top of the music and ‘tutting’ to the music . I really thought the driver could have managed that better. It went on already half the journey home.

We must inform you and all of our clients, that after each tour, *without exception,* we have a full car inspection done on all our vehicles. We take our responsibilities with our clients very seriously. Unfortunately, a tire blowout was unforeseen. Concerning the time of departure, and the "singing", when you take a "shared tour", we must accommodate all the clients and their departure time wishes. We also cannot control peoples enjoyment with singing. It is also clearly indicated on the tour page, that it is a long day. The drive is over 2 1/2 hours each way. That is well over 5 hours of driving alone. We always strive to do our very best, as indicated by the countless 5 on 5 reviews we have received, and we will continue to work very hard in maintaining our extremely high standards.

We waited in reception in our hotel for over a hour. They did not turn up, when we got in touch with the tour operator they offered us the trip the next day but we were going home that day. No apology nothing. Viator have refunded the money but it was a trip we were looking forward to and spoilt our holiday
