Anas and Mouad were amazing guides!!! We had a great time in Essaouira!! Definitely recommend this tour!!
A long but worthwhile day. The driver Jamal was wonderful and our guide Anas was very good at explaining what would come next. And the surprise at the end of the ride was great. ;). The van was comfortable and well air conditioned and the stop at the cafe about half way was very nice and clean. I had Moroccan pancakes and they were fantastic. The day in Essaouira was lovely -it’s coastal so there is beach and a cool breeze. Then there is the Medina and the old fort. It’s a great way to spend the day.
I'd like to call out their attitude to safety, Anas was constantly reminding passengers to fasten seatbelts - great job. Apart from that - this tour is cost efficient way to visit Esauira.
It was a very enjoyable trip. Essaouira is a beautiful place, and the trip, the van, and the team who drove us were all very nice and helpful.
Our guide and driver Asan and Mohammad were both lovely. Great communication beforehand and while on the trip. About the chip itself, is it a long drive and a long day, absolutely. But it was one of my favourite things we did when we were there. It’s so much quieter and cooler City than Marrakesh so if you do wanna escape, they’re busy and hot City it is a really good idea.
We had an excellent day and a highlight of our trip to Morocco. Our driver Badr was courteous and friendly (and shared his love of country and blues music which was an enjoyable surprise). We added the guided tour which really is a must if you want to be exposed to the history and culture of Essaouira. Our guide, Aziz, went out of his way to show us the lesser known parts of the city and made us feel like family. I highly recommend the tour.

The driver and guide was very informative and stop overs also well organised
From start to finish Mohammed and Anas looked after us on our journey to Essioura. Minibus was comfy and Anas gave us some brief facts about the areas. Muhammed drove carefully and we were always reminded to wear our seat belts. On the way there we stopped at a roadside cafe for comfort break then onto the womens cooperative to see the making of Argon oil and to learn about the co-op. No obligation to buy but we did buy some argon oil, tasted delicious with some bread! We spent most of our time at the beach, beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere and clean. We had a nice lunch then a walk along the beach where we saw many activities including windsurfing, surf school and many camels!! The water was chilly but very refreshing for the feet!
Smooth connection from Marrakech, the driver was great. Check the weather beforehand. We ended up visiting during a storm right on Eid (March 2026) the day Ramadan finished. Therefore it was rainy, windy, cold, puddles on the ground that got through the shoes right away and all the shops and restaurants were closed. The town , impressive as it was, seemed almost completely abandoned. The experience was less than ideal but it was due to lack of planning. Under normal circumstances it is probably a very nice place.
Really good experience. Competent, friendly driver, on-time pickup. Drive was exactly as described in trip information. Plenty of free time in Essaouira for exploring and lunch. And the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this tour.
I appreciated the excellent communication about where and when to be picked up, which was convenient to where I was staying in the Medina. The driver was clear with his communications and drove safely. I thought the price paid was a good value.
Excellent day trip, exactly as advertised and fantastic value. The same trip offered by the hotel was over 5 times more expensive! Would definitely recommend!!

It was a really lovely town, some really nice seafood and the short walk on the wall is nice with the breeze but it’s like 3 to 4 hours drive, so travelling 8 hours to spend 4 hours there, I think it’s worth it to see the town but it’s really tiring for little pay off

There are many police check points along the main roads to ensure all passengers wearing seat belts. Since I was one of the last ones to be picked up, i had to sit in the last row of the van. Before departing, the driver told everyone to fasten seat belts. When he came to the last row, he told us that he was aware that two seat belts were broken. He told us to hold the belts manually so that it would appear to be fastened should police check. I am not sure if there are any broken seat belts in the front rows. I just felt very uncomfortable and unsafe in those 5+ hours of ride during the day knowing the seat belts not functioning.
In addition, since we have 15 passengers today, two had to sit in the front. Both of them kept talking to the driver. I felt that the driver is constantly distracted. He should have told them to hold off the questions at the rest stops but he continued to engage. Then later, the driver himself took out the mobile and talked on the phone.
The broken seat belt, along with distracted drivinng, I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe the entire trip.

Good trip to visit ocean and few other things, enough time to visit old city and very good stop for snacks and food with good prices. Omar was very helpful and superfiendly 10/10

Pros:
Essaouira is a beautiful city. The beach, the weather, and the medina were all very nice and definitely worth visiting. The drive is quite long, but there are a few breaks along the way, so in the end it feels manageable.
Cons:
Our driver, Ismail, was very polite and kind, but he was only a driver. We received absolutely no information about the city, what to visit, or where to eat, which would have been very helpful. At the end of the trip, he also insisted that we give him a good feedback, which felt a bit uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the car was not working, so the return journey was very hot. Also, the description mentioned a break in a field of argan trees and a panoramic viewpoint, but neither of these stops happened.
We stopped twice (once each way) at gas stations for food and coffee, which were extremely expensive. We also stopped at an argan cooperative, which was actually a very nice experience with good explanations from a lady there. However, the prices were much higher than in the medina.
Overall:
Essaouira itself is wonderful and worth the visit, but the tour could be better organized, more informative, and more transparent about the stops. With some improvements, this trip could be much better.

The drive , have to be more professional, needs to share informations to the clients, the tour was fine , but i was waiting a little tour in the city , no just bringing us for 4 hours free, no recommendations to eat

Wonderful experience. Edam was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. Car was comfortable with air conditioning, clean. We stopped at interesting road stops for coffee, they were tourist friendly.
Zaid was our tour guide in the city. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the city, the Muslim religion, and the cultures of Morocco. He catered the tour to our interests, including architecture and culture, to name a few. The city is beautiful, but we were able to appreciate another historical and cultural level thanks to Zaid.

Nice day out in Essaouira, but be prepared for a long journey. We were picked up at 7.40am and we arrived in Essaouira at 11.40am. Stopped for a brief comfort break and then an argan oil co-operative along the way. I don’t want to discourage anyone from spending at the women’s co-operative, but the prices for the amlou and the honey were obscenely expensive. The amlou was easily available in Essaouira for less than 1/3rd of the price. In Essaouira we spent a pleasant four hours wandering the medina, eating at the fish grills and having a glass of wine overlooking the beach. Our driver Yassine got us there and back safely. A decent day out!

This trip is really well worth doing. Essaouira is so beautiful and was the highlight of my trip. The medina is very different to the medina in Marrakesh and while I love Marrakesh is was nice to enjoy something more peaceful and relaxing. Our driver Omar was really good and made the journey so fun. Thank you Omar!

Omar my driver was amazing. Was right on time for pick up, was funny and engaging. Essaouira is a must see. Its a long drive there and back but definitely worth it to provide a different taste of Morocoo not too too far from Marrakech

We had a fantastic from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech at Essaouira. Our driver Hamza was on time and took good care of us. He was a very good and diligent driver and never went above the speed limits. The cost of oils at the Argan oil co-op was high. However no one forces you to buy. Essaouira was a stunning coastal town with amazing views and winding pathways within the Medina. Our guide Mohamed was very helpful and took us through a guided tour. The lunch at the restaurant with incredible views of the ocean was a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely would recommend Essaouira day trip if you are for a short break in Morocco.
