Overall great trip

My mom and I started this trip on our second day in Morocco, not really knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised that our guide/driver Rabia showed up exactly at 8 am to pick us up from our Riad in Marrakech, despite it being in a hard-to-find spot. The rest of the trip was amazing- due largely to Rabia’s intuitiveness. He seemed to know exactly what would be of interest to us, when we needed a rest, or an extra coffee in the morning. Plus, he was a very safe driver. My only complaint was that the camel trek portion of the trip did no go according to the itinerary, which said after spending the night in the desert camp, we’d return to the hostel for a shower before leaving Merzouga. When we returned from the long, hot ride looking forward to a shower, we were told that we should have showered at the camp and a shower at the hotel was not possible. Other than that, the trip was phenomenal and well worth the money. This is a must do on any trip to Morocco!

Mooie tour, prive met chauffeur Youssef. Goede chauffeur, reed voorzichtig. De afstanden vielen wel tegen! je bent zomaar 8 uur onderweg, tweebaans wegen niet al te best. Je ziet wel veel wisselende natuurlandschappen en rijdt door authentieke kasba's/ dorpjes. Het busje was ruim genoeg, wel vrij oud en beetje aftands. De airco (die beloofd was) werkte niet. Gelukkig was de temperatuur niet te hoog zodat het met raampjes stukje open goed te doen was. Helaas waren we de eerste dag door het bochtige atlasgebergte allemaal aan het overgeven om de beurt (waarschijnlijk iets verkeerd gegeten) en we hadden de pech dat het regende toen we op de dromedaris de "woestijn" in gingen, geen zonsondergang en sterrenhemel helaas...Gelukkig volgende dag mooi weer. Tenten waren verrassend luxe, warm en met douche en toilet en lekkere bedden. Eten was eenvoudig maar prima. Hotel voor de overnachting (chateau du dades) was zeer eenvoudig en sober, wel mooie ligging. Aangezien we allen misselijk waren heeft niemand daar gegeten dus daar kunnen we niet over oordelen. Het ontbijt was erg simpel en matig.
