Great Atmosphere, but Stay Vigilant

Jas_B, Feb 2026
The staff here are very good and maintain a very positive environment; I found them a pleasure to deal with. However, I wanted to share a word of caution for future visitors. While I personally didn't have anything go missing, I spoke with a couple of other people who unfortunately had items disappear during their time here. It is difficult to say exactly how these items went missing, but I would recommend being extra careful with your belongings and keeping your valuables secure just in case. Overall, a great team, but it’s worth staying mindful of your property.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Dear Customer, We understand your concern and would like to clarify the situation. You and the other guests were part of a group of more than 40 people staying at the Lodge at the same time. Additionally, the couple who stayed the day before had been drinking and later mentioned they were unsure where they had left their personal belongings. We kindly ask for your understanding that it is not fair to place blame on our team without clear evidence. Our staff takes these matters very seriously and always strives to provide honest and professional service. If you have any further details that could help clarify the situation, we would be happy to review them. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards,

It was the perfect mix of exploration and downtime for a vacation. Staying overnight in the jungle cutting down trees and sleeping in the Amazon nobody can take away from you

4 day and 3 nights I will always remember

Adam_H, Oct 2025
The anaconda lodge is basic, but the location cannot be beat. The bed is comfortable. While there is wifi available all day there is no electricity from 6am until 6 pm when the power comes on. The food was not fancy but was good. If you have to have all of the amenities, they may not be available in the middle of the Amazon, but this place has most of what you need. Pick up and drop off before and after the trip were easy. The excursions were great. Fishing for piranha, searching for cayman, camping in the rainforest, and the jungle trek were everything that I wanted them to be. They do offer two additional excursions that are not included, because they do not control access to the excursions. Those were swimming with the dolphins and a visit with indigenous people. Both excursions combined were about $50 US and well worth it. The swimming with dolphins felt a little exploitive as these are wild animals that may/have become dependent on humans feeding them for a trick. They are beautiful in their own way, especially seeing them out in the wild. The visit with the indigenous people was some may say touristy but was my favorite activity of the trip. They were beautifully caring on their traditions that the modern world makes more difficult to maintain each day. I was there in the dry season (October) but the Amazon has plenty of moisture even in the dry season. Please bring sunscreen and bug repellent. Apply both and then reapply because by the time you recognize you need to refresh that protection it is almost assuredly too late. The staff were great. Wesley is wise beyond his youth and was knew more about the jungle that I could ever know. The rest of the staff speak only a word or three of English. I found that learning some basic Brazilian Portuguese phrases went a long way to an enjoyable and richer experience. There will be instagramable moments to be sure, but there is also a large amount of free time. Bring a book if you are so inclined, or just enjoy the sounds of the birds occasionally interrupted by a passing motorboat. Many people enjoyed a swim at the pool or took long naps. It is a great place to be present in that moment. If you must have your creature comforts, I am not certain this is the place for you. If you are up for an adventure and an experience to look back fondly upon, this fulfilled its promise and then some.

This is a great first experience of the Amazon Rainforest, you get to do a lot of activities which are fun and meet a lot of people at the lodge! The camping night was our favourite and would recommend this to everyone! Our guide, Wesley was especially great!

It an amazing experience for people who enjoy wild life, are flexible and are easy to adopt to the environment.

Totally overrated/ stay away!

Michael_S, Mar 2025
Totally sucked on every level. Accomodations were awful. Bathrooms should be condemned. The guide had a bad attitude. The tour operator kept changing the itinerary multiple times a day. The food was repetitive and barely edible, unless you love eating dry chicken, pasta and rice daily. They occupy your time by just boating down the river with no destination for 2 hours and getting sunburned. That happened for 2 consecutive days. Finally, all 15 of us excitedly went piranha fishing with a bamboo stick and no reel. Unsurprisingly, nobody caught anything. Total crap on every level. There were no highlights to this trip other than everyone commiserating!

Amazon experience

John_V, Feb 2024
For those who never visited the Amazon, the surroundings, tranquility and nature were amazing. The trip from Manaus to pier, then boat transfer, (view meeting of the waters) road travel on unpaved roads and wooden boat transfer to the lodge meandering along the Amazon River is fantastic. Guides were really friendly and helpful. The lodge was decent for the location but can do with more upkeep. The food was good but always the same fish, rice, pasta & chicken after four days it becomes boring. The jungle camp was great so were the other experiences eg pirvana fishing, sunset, jungle tour, aligator catch. You can easily do this in 3 days, 4 days is a waste of time and money. They will use it as a filler. The tour to the local villagers was not to expectations. We had no interaction and/or knowledge of community just half an hour and we left.

Lorenzo_C, Feb 2024
I stayed four days in the lodge and one night in the jungle, it was an amazing experience where I made lots of friends. The Amazon is green to the core and the people are all amazing and accommodating, bring your best mosquito spray and get ready for the experience of a lifetime!

Interesting and fun but….

JERRY_C, Dec 2023
This may not be a tour for everyone. The activities were planned but may get changed by weather or number of tourist on the day. Fun to catch fish, alligator encounter but unfortunately not many animals or birds that we can see this time. Communication to the family owned tour operator was not smooth and the transportation safety can be a concern. But overall, people leading the activities at the lodge are very friendly and have tried their best to take care of everyone. Do expect a very very basic room setup and you just might have to sleep with unexpected insects. Anyway, it is the natural of jungle.

4 Day Jungle Experience

Jordan_A, Jan 2023
Our guides Frank and Flamingo were amazing!! They made sure we stayed safe and made every effort to make this experience enjoyable for us. They both were very skilled at finding animals for us to see. I was impressed by their knowlege of the forest and the plants and showed us which type of plants and nuts were safe to eat. My favorite part of the experience was the piranha fishing. It took me a long time to finally catch one, but the guides were patient and allowed me to take my time catching one. Animals i saw on my trip: piranhas, river dolphins, crocodiles, snake, sloth, a lot of birds. Just keep in mind that seeing animals is not a guarantee. Its luck Before you go: Don't bring cheap panchos! Get a water proof jacket, water proof pants and water proof hiking shoes because it can rain hard unexpectedly. Bring mosquito repellent. They provide mosquito nets for you. The only downside for me was the lodge didn't have hot water so taking a shower was a little uncomfortable.

Amazing!

Maobh_M, Jun 2022
Incredible, genuine and amazing experience! Our guide, Junior, was full of local knowledge and made every trip really enjoyable and fun! Of course he couldn’t promise that we would see particular wildlife but he had a great eye and spotted everything from a sloth to monkeys to native birds. The lodge itself is basic but has everything you need! The meals are delicious with loads of food provided and lots of variations to the dishes. I would love to come back!

4 days amazon tour

Stefan K, Dec 2019
I stayed in the lodge for four days. The lodge is cheap and basic. The canoeing tour is just a boat tour in a small motor boat. So, don't expect canoeing by yourself. The early sun rise tour doesn't exist. You can see the sunrise at the lodge, but there is no tour. The other hiking tours are nice. The camping in the jungle is a great experience. It is not needed to bring a mosquito net, because there are almost no mosquito's. Just a spray is enough.

Response from Host, Dec 2019

Dear Mr. Stefan! thank you for your feedback! We are glad you enjoyed most of your tour. The sun rise tour does exist, but as informed to you, it needs a minimum of 7 guests, if this number is not met, the lodge opts not to do it. We hope seeing you again in the future. Regards.

Wouldn’t recommend it

Jet55083494518, Jun 2019
The staff and the Lodge is amazing and so nice!! But they should remove the “adventure” from the name. The “original” people are clearly fake and the tours that the staff takes you on is damage because of all the tours, no animals to see and no “new” adventures. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here even though it breaks my heart because the staff was the best ever!

Absolutely Amazing Amazon Adventure

Brianna_B, Dec 2018
This was an absolutely amazing trip! Before purchasing I was hesitant because I had seen some less than stellar reviews about the trip but it was honestly one of the best packages I've ever taken and I truly feel that those reviews were not deserved by the group. Eduardo and Fabio made sure that all of the participants in the trip were taken care of and you really felt like they cared about your experience. They both spoke excellent English, which I was grateful for as Portuguese is very hard for me to learn. Fabio was our main guide for the 4 days and he was so incredibly knowledgeable about the Amazon and the Rio Negro. We were able to learn so much from him in those 4 days. Now, if you're expecting a posh 5 star resort, this is probably not for you. However, if you want a truly caring and knowledgeable group of people to show you around their home turf in the Amazon Jungle then DO IT! It is AMAZING!

Tour was more calm and relaxing for us. Not crowded. However the tour guides were non English speaking and things always get lost in translation. Main guide was not in charge of our stay and activities although it would be much more helpful.

We did this 4-Day Adventure Tour in...

gilles t, Dec 2015
We did this 4-Day Adventure Tour in November 2015. The global experience was nice, thanks to the nice nature of Manaus and thanks to the guide. We cannot say the same thing about the Agency tour/ the organizers as we were UNpleasantly surprised by the bad organisation and the behaviour of the organizers. First of all, I would call this tour a 3-DAY Adventure Tour and not a 4-Day Adventure tour as we started our first activity at 3pm on D1 and we finished our last activity at 11pm on D4 which was a bit disappointing. Despite a few email conversations, we never received the complete program of our trip and we have been informed 1day in advance that we would sleep in the jungle... which forced us to purchase a mosquito net to the organizers at the high price of 35-30/each. They also incite you to add paying activities to your trip at extravagant price dolphins @50/person real price is between 10 and 20 maximum whereas the tour is supposed to be all included... But I insist to make the difference between the organizers Leonardo Mendes and Fernando - very bad business men and the guide Fabio - an angel Thanks you Gilles

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review, we are very sorry to hear you were not all pleased. But let us explain and inform future guests that: we sell the accommodation with basic food and potable water and tours such as jungle trekking, canoeing, fishing and cayman chasing, other tours as you have mentioned are not included but charged extra, it is explained on the booking page. The same applies to the jungle camping, it is an optional tour but guests are suggested to have mosquito nets, we told you could also do without it but under your own risk. Now about the prices for drinks and alcohol, in the jungle everything needs to be transported from the nearest town, sometimes 2 hours away by boat, therefore we can not charge the same as supermarkets, I thought you would know that. We hope to seeing you again in the future.
