Renting a boat for the day was hands-down the best part of our Lake Como trip. The booking was easy, the boat was clean and ready right on time, and the staff gave us a quick rundown so we felt confident driving ourselves. Cruising between the villages, swimming off the back, and taking in the views from the water is something you just can’t get any other way. Highly recommend — would do it again in a heartbeat.

Very easy walk to the lake from train station. Sief met us at planned location, quick training on operating boat and on our way. We rented for 2 hours and it took almost all that time to get to villa where they filmed James Bond. Full throttle all the way, boat performed, was smooth and easy. Best 2 hours of our Italy trip was on this Lake Como boat.

Great way to explore a little bit of the bottom of Lake Como on your own. We did an hour and it was very easy. Our 2 boys enjoyed taking a quick dip in the lake while we were out there.

We chose this boat because it was slightly larger and featured a bimini top; both of those turned out to be important. The lake can get rough, and obviously, the larger the boat, the smoother the ride. Plus, being able to sit in the shade the entire time was nice.
If you plan to see the sights in South Lake Como this is a good option. It was very easy to find the spot and communicate via WhatsApp with the tour coordinator. The boat is incredibly easy to drive if you don't have experience. If you are an experienced boater, then be prepared to only have a 40hp engine, which was way smaller and slower than anything I have previously operated.
Our coordinator was a bit late, which was frustrating because we had a lot of things we wanted to see in the 3-hour window. However, he was very nice and informative. If you plan to see the areas around Belaggio, then I would recommend renting around the mid-lake area and not Como.
Lastly, there was no Bluetooth speaker provided, yet it didn't matter. The engine noise was so loud it wouldn't have been very effective.
