Definitely one of our favorite days in Costa Rica. Jorge was an awesome river guide. Rapids were super fun. We saw a sloth from the river, had some really good fresh pineapple part way down tue river. Lunch was very good as well. Would definitely recommend this trip for any family that loves adventure and excitement.

Wild experience! I have never tried white water rafting before, but had a great time. Our boat flipped over a few times, which for sure is a part of the fun, but be prepared to get a few (mild) bruises. The guide on our boat, Jorge, was very professional and set a positive vibe. The whole organising with transport back and forth from La Fortuna went smoothly.

We have been white water rafting several times and this was by far our favorite. Carlos our guide and all the other guides were knowledgeable and kind. They made the experience very fun. The river was action packed. We had lunch at the end of the trip and it was delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this rafting experience.

Truly one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The scenery of the Sarapiqui is truly beautiful. Our main guide, Carlos, was fantastic and informative, made us feel ready for the journey. Our raft guide Phileppe gave us excellent instructions on the river, and really made our raft feel like one cohesive unit. If your looking for a day of true fun and excitement, do not skip this tour.

This was easily one of the highlights of my trip! The rafting is thrilling and not for the faint of heart — you will probably end up in the river at some point — but that’s part of the fun.
Our guide Oso made the entire experience exceptional. He was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced on the river. I trusted him completely and always felt safe even through the biggest rapids. His energy and sense of humor made the whole trip unforgettable.
If you’re lucky enough to have Oso as your guide, you’re going to have the BEST time. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! We did Extreme IV Rafting. I was extremely nervous but Machillo Braulio our raft guide absolutely made the experience. He has a great spirit. I think he made our group the entertainment for everyone else. He was in control and kept all of us safe. I would do it again. The photos are absolutely worth it. So funny to look back at everyone’s faces.

I’ve white river rafted about 10 times and this was a great trip. The company was very organized and our guide (Oso) was awesome!! And he was also very funny!! My only critique was this wasn’t a class 4/5 so if you’re nervous about the challenge don’t be. Good river ride and very fun!

We had a great raft ride. Have rafted before and this experience ranks highly! Very good rapids in size and frequency. Braulia M did a fantastic job of getting us wet and entertaining us on the trip. Would highly recommend this trip!

OSA was our bus MC and tour manager and he made the ride to the rafting a lot of fun. He organized us into rafts based on what level we wanted to ride the river at. My husband and I did the “crazy” top level. It was a blast and still felt safe. We were in Jan so the water level was low but the rapids were still exciting. The bus ride is about an hour or more each way but totally worth it.

Amazing time with Arenal Rafting on the Sarapiqui River Extreme. This was our 6th time ww rafting and Oso and Cuca were the two best guides we've ever had. The jokes kept coming as did the rapids. Sick a great day and a week organized machine. The only thing I wished I had bright my wallet on the bus so I could tip our guides at the end of the trip. After they lunch, you take a bus back an hour and don't see the guys again unfortunately.

Great experience, perfect for a solo traveler; no “solo tax”. I would absolutely recommend booking this experience all you need is a little adventurous spirit and you will have a great time. Coming from someone who hadn’t been rafting before.

We have done rafting before in American river. These did not seem class 4. Most rapid sections are small. You are out in 4 to 5 strokes. Having said that, guides made it more exciting. So we had a great time. But not worth the one way hour long drive.

Best rafting experience. Great rapids and scenery. Braulio Machillo was absolutely the best guide I have ever had. He was so much fun but also kept you safe, loves rafting, and from the area so knew all the spots. This is a “Must do” and our favorite experience.

Great rafting experience!! We had Brian as our raft guide and he made it so much fun! Jokes and laughs all around! We had Carlos as our bus guide and he too was amazing. All around a great experience. We saw a sloth, lots of birds and some howler monkeys-definitely worth it. It rained nearly 75% of the time but it was still warm and enjoyable!
