Wonderfully informative hostess and a lovely setting to learn more about tea and cultural significance. My three teenagers and I were completely engaged with our charming hostess and the information she shared. She encouraged questions and photographs. Lovely experience and a small setting which is the perfect way to enjoy such a detailed cultural experience. Highly recommend!

The tea master very well shows and explains the steps and the meaning of the tea ceremony, in good English. You can then try the preparation for yourself and taste the prepared matcha tea with traditional sweets and ask more questions. Very nice private experience for just the 3 of us.

I really enjoyed this traditional Tea Ceremony experience, it captures the Japanese culture and appreciation of the simple things in life, to slow down and 'smell the roses' so to speak, well worth it.
My only criticism was the directions... they could have said, 100m past the 7 Eleven shop turn left down a narrow lane way. Instead it took 30min to find, with a friendly local going out of her way to find a street or place even she never heard of.

It was great to see the ceremony happen, as well as finding out more about some of the history and customs surrounding it. As a couple of people have mentioned, it is a little tricky to find being down a side street, the experience was definitely a good one though - I enjoyed doing it all myself as part of the experience.
