Monkey and Bamboo tour

This was an unfortgetable tour! Masa, our highly knowlegable and welcomimg tour guide took us through all the wonders the the Arashiyama area. Showing us the view of the whole of Kyoto at the top of the hill, followed by an opportunity to feed the monkeys inside an enclosure. We then walked through an interesting forest of 600 different kimono silk fabrics. Masa took us through a beautiful temple, sharing his insights and knowledge. Thereafter we walked through the bamboo forest, it was facinating to see. We ended the tour by making wishes at a beautiful shrine. This tour would not have been the same without Masa as our guide. He knows the entire area like the back of his hand and holds a tremendous amount of knowledge around history, traditions and religion. We thank him for a great day out.
