Excellent tour with boat ride

Marcelo was an excellent guide. I enjoyed the variety of this tour; a temple with explanations about Shintoism and Buddhism, then a lovely canal boat ride, learning about the locks and importance of waterways in Kyoto’s history, followed by tour of sake brewing and a few tastes. Perfect combination. Highly recommend.

This was a great half day...

This was a great half day trip to explore the Fushimi district! We met our guide using the train system and had a quick visit to a shrine. From there, we had a great visit to the sake distillery where we watched a documentary, visited the museum, and had a generous tasting of their sakes and finished our trip with an incredible boat ride along the canal. Would highly recommend this trip for a group looking to explore a more quiet neighborhood and learn about the history of distilling and the canals!! As one of the earliest groups on the tour, Katz was a great guide and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto!!
