It’s a long day but full of interesting things. Highlights for us were the elephant sanctuary and the Batu cave. So much in one day, but we loved it. Our guide was very pleasant and helpful.

It is advertised and sold as a private tour, but they show up with other guests and pretend there was some mistake. It seems like if they are overbooked, they try to make more money at the expense of their guests. Other reviews also state this. This scam ruined the entire day, as we refused to entertain it.

It was a long day but so much experience … If you want to get a lot of touring done in one day this is the tour for you … it was a so nice to feed the elephants and the Batu cave was beautiful , bit the fireflies were absolutely beautiful ..

This tour is a long tour but you certainly get to see the area. Our driver Mr Sathis picked us up at our hotel in a minibus which was great, plenty of space just for the two of us. We visited the caves, factory where they hand draw onto silk, Elephant sanctuary. We had lunch then after we drove back and went to see the silver leaf monkeys who are extremely friendly. You can feed them a banana and they will jump up and sit on your shoulder. We stopped for dinner at a Chinese restaurant which was superb and then we carried onto see the Fireflies before Mr Sathis drove us back to hotel. Excellent tour!

Fantastic experience. Mr Chandran was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable tour guide. This is a long trip, but at no point was it arduous, just lots to see and do. Great fun for the family - highly recommended.

Yesterday's trip to Batu Caves, Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, Deerland Park, Bukit Melawati, and Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park was an eye-opening experience filled with a mix of wonder and concern.
At Batu Caves, the sheer grandeur of the temple was impressive, but visitors should remember to cover their shoulders and knees out of respect. The colorful statues and steep staircase make for a beautiful backdrop, though the heat and crowds can be overwhelming at times.
The visit to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary left a deep impact. Learning about how elephants are sedated and moved due to the encroachment of palm oil farms was heartbreaking. The sanctuary offers tourists the chance to feed baby elephants for 3 MYR, which was a lovely moment but bittersweet. The sanctuary felt quite touristy, and while interacting with the elephants was special, the show put on for visitors felt uncomfortable and upsetting.
Deerland Park, while not as emotionally charged, offered a more laid-back experience where we got to feed small deer. It wasn't particularly exciting but provided an interesting glimpse into the area’s wildlife.
At Bukit Melawati, we encountered playful monkeys that eagerly jumped on people, especially those with food. You can buy food for 10 MYR from a local uncle on a bike, but it's important to stay cautious around the monkeys, as they can be unpredictable.
Finally, the trip ended with a serene, 20-minute boat ride at Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park. Drifting through the darkness while watching the fireflies light up the trees was magical. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent!
Overall, the day was a blend of unforgettable sights and experiences, but also highlighted the environmental challenges facing local wildlife. Lunch and dinner were provided. They are seafood options so let them know if you don’t want seafood in advance!

This tour was absolutely amazing. We visited the Elephant Sanctuary, Deer Park, saw Batik Silk Painting, did the Batu Caves, Silver Leaf Monkey Sanctuary and saw the Fireflies. Our personal driver Sitash was very knowledgeable, good fun, punctual and took loads of photos. We had an amazing day and would thoroughly recommend this tour while in Kuala Lumpur.

What a brilliant trip. A bit of everything and hard to choose which was my favourite. Loved it all. Thanks very much to Sega (spelling) our guide for the day. He made sure we were in good time for it all. The food was great, especially the lunch stop which had heavenly noodles.
The firefly river trip was out of this world and will be indented in the memory cells forever.
Super and highly recommend

This was a great day thanks to our wonderful tour guide, David.
He was super flexible for us, a great driver, and provided interesting information.
We loved the elephant sanctuary and enjoyed deerland. We opted out of the other options, as we needed extra time to pack for our return home.
David gave us helpful tips to make the most of our trip, very much appreciated.

The tour was amazing and my guide Mr.Chandran beyond fantastic. He was so incredibly knowledgable, helpful and he simply wanted us to have the best experience possible. He prepared us to get the most out of time we had at each stop. Per our request he made arrangements for us to see the blue tears after the fireflies natural phenomenon and they both were breathtaking. He also made sure that all our dining requirements were met during the lunch and dinner. As a bonus he also took some really cool pics and videos for me. All together it was one of the best hours I’ve taken and I highly recommend it!

This was an excellent all day tour of some of KL’s best spots as well as the surrounding areas! Great tour. From feeding the elephants, deer, and monkeys, you feel immersed in the local Malaysian wild life. The highlight for me was the fireflies… sitting in a small boat watching tiny flies light up the night sky. On top of that, you get two full meals of excellent local food and will fill you up. John was my guide, who was very kind and informative, always willing to tell me information, have a nice conversation, or allow me to take a quick nap in the car, lol. He was always patient and allowed me to take my time or leave when I wished. Would happily take this tour again with John.

An amazing day out, exactly as described and the experience was simply outstanding. Highlight has to be the elephant conservation centre, wonderful to spend time close to the elephants in a peaceful and happy environment. Excellent food during the day, sustains energy levels during the 13.5 hour trip. Well worth it, and massive thanks to Chandra for his wonderful hosting, expert knowledge and for safely driving us on this epic tour. Don’t hesistate to book if you are going to be in KL.

Thank You very much

Do not take this tour. Highly highly over priced for what you get. It started with our guide (who was not even a guide. He was only a driver) picking us up and we had to pay extra on top of the 700usd we paid because of the airport pick up. The guide refused our usd because he claimed the bills were too old. Moreover we had requested a large van as we had suitcases and 5 big people. One senior and one cancer patient among us. The van was small and the driver had to put seats down to accommodate our luggage leaving even less room. And furthermore he refused to let any of us sit in the front passenger seat because he had a his personal stuff on the seat. So we were all cramped into the back. He offered us some warm water bottles after a few hours. He was not a tour guide. He was only a driver that dropped us out at places. It was so hot outside and we could not find our driver for a while and had to wait in the extreme heat for him to appear. With a senior and a cancer patient this was crazy. We cut the tour short as it was awfully cramped and unpleasant vehicle and mean driver. The tour group did not refund us any money as they had promised lunch and dinner. As well we did not use the tickets for any of the paid parks and they did not refund this either. Beware beware. Do not take this tour and waste your money.

My friend and I went on this tour to see sights outside of the city in a safe and efficient manner - and that's exactly what this was! It was a long day (about 12 hours), but we saw elephants, deer, monkeys, fireflies, and many other animals up-close. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel and there were a few 1-hour driving periods throughout the day which were nice for resting. The tour guide was friendly, informative, and spoke excellent English.
Only thing that could have been better is communication: about 2 days before the tour, I was contacted by the tour company via Whatsapp confirming the reservation. I didn't respond because it didn't seem like I needed to. A day later, they texted me again, implying I needed to respond. Then asked if we could switch to a different day because the day we originally planned would be busy with a large school group visiting on of the destinations. It was confusing, but we eventually agreed to switch days and it all worked out fine.
I would recommend this tour!

Absolutely brilliant day! Our guide Mr Chandran was so knowledgable and really added value to our day. Aside from Deerland, every part of this day was phenomenal.
Maria_F, Feb 2024
Our driver was purely a driver and not a guide. It was a very hot day and unfortunately the restaurants were all outside without air conditioning. The bathrooms were not western style and did not have toilet paper. Our kids may some nice memories of the elephants and the monkeys but it seems there would be a better way to do do this.

I had just 1 day to spend in Kuala Lumpur and so I planned to take this trip with a private chauffeur cum guide.
Mr. Mani my chauffeur cum guide was a very decent, interesting and knowledgeable person. I was a solo traveller and so he kept me entertained and also provided me with a lot of insights of the sightseeing places he took me to.
The trip however costed me a lot of money which I felt was overly charged and not worth of what I experienced.
Most of the time is spent on the road travelling from one state to another and we also reached very late to the Silver Monkey where the entry gate was closed.
I would recommend people to not take this trip since it is not worth it at all.
My only memory of this trip would be the Batu Cave and Firefly. Rest was a waste of my money and time.
Cathy_A, Jan 2024
Positives first: the fireflies were the most memorable part of this epic trip because it is a natural and magical phenomenon. So perfectly beautiful to see the lights from these little bugs twinkle like fairies to the sound of the mosque in the distance as we silently floated down the river. Mosquito repellent is a must.
The elephants were lovely and we loved feeding them. We were worried about watching an elephant 'show' however it was not elephants doing tricks they demonstrated how they can do thinks like move objects with their trunks as part of their exercise. They did appear to be well looked after.
The deer park was a waste of time,we would have preferred to have spent more time with the elephants.
Whilst the Batu caves were spectacular,we were completely shocked and appalled by the amount of rubbish piling up and attracting flies.rats and monkeys. There was a huge bazarre/market surrounding them, but sadly we didn't feel it was clean enough for us to try any of the food or drink on offer due to the dirt and smell. What a shame that somewhere so sacred was not cared for by the people visiting it.
The monkeys were amusing.
We expected to be part of a coach group but we're pleasantly surprised when it was just us collected on a car by our guide Segar, who was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional.thank you Segar
Dan_L, Jan 2024
Segar was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Vehicle was a little small for the 4 of us but OK, would have preferred a larger mini van for $625. Food was just OK... Firefly experience was surreal, silver monkeys and brown monkeys were super fun. Great experience with the Elephant rescue (RM 50 for guide plus tip). Batu caves were busy due to Hindu festival, but had 1.5 hours (since deerland was closed). Over 12 hour day but it was one of the best ezperiemces ever!!
Shauna_V, Dec 2023
Chandan was great however the trip was misadvertised. Despite their knowledge for almost 3 years that they no longer offer the opportunity to take a shower with the elephants, it is still advertised as part of the itinerary and why I selected this particular trip. It wasn’t till we were on our way that I discovered this was no longer part of the experience. As a result, I significantly overpaid for this trip. I contacted the tour operator and asked how we could resolve it. However, it is the second day and I have yet to receive a response. Therefore I am leaving this review so others are aware that this is no longer part of the experience and you will overpay for the trip and they will not do anything to make up for overcharging you due to their miss advertising.

I can't think of a better way to spend a day exploring the beauty of Malaysia! The elegant preserve and monkey experience were amazing!
James_A, Sep 2023
Took a tour with about 11 of us. The tour was great. We went to the caves, elephant sanctuary, deer park, a batik shop, and then finished with a night tour of the firefly’s along the river. Was worth the trip if you’re looking for a one day trip in the city.
Suszanne_k, Sep 2023
Everything about the whole experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Our guide Chandra is a wealth of knowledge was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will have a lifetime of memories. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was very informative about every aspect of our tour as well as history of Kuala Lumpur we learned a lot.
Loved the elephant experience, Batu Caves were a total wonder to behold, Batik shop was interesting, Sri Sakhkti Temple was truly beautiful and amazing and meeting the monkeys was a delight with their babies! Sadly deer farm was closed… fireflies were lovely to see lovely end to a wonderful day.
Both lunch and dinner provided were delicious and plentiful.
Highly recommend Chandra as a guide he’s a true gentleman and a scholar.

We had a lovely day trip to celebrate a birthday, with a wonderful guild! He was very knowledgeable and a careful driver. Yes, it was a lot of driving but it was a day filled with a range of activities. It was great to see the Batu Cave, and the elephants sanctuary was our favourite. We had a surprise trip to a batik shop, which we loved! The fireflies was a highlight!
The only thing that would have made this trip even better was stopping to go in some water somewhere, which got quite hot and it would have been very refreshing.
Shawnasia_J, May 2023
My guide ‘S’ was kind and taught me about the Tamil culture. He was punctual and very knowledgeable. We stopped at a Batik for the silk drawing which was a nice addition. At the sanctuary, we were actually allowed to feed the elephants and the Silverleaf monkeys were a lot less aggressive and climb all over you. Very pleasant and memorable experience.
Rui_V, May 2023
This Experience has interesting things but it's overpriced and I would definitely pass on some of the activities as they are based on animal exploitation.
That said, the elephant sanctuary is passable, the Deerland is just a small homemade zoo with a couple of animals on super bad conditions.
The Batu cave is worth seeing and also the fireflies. The silverleaf monkeys are just random monkeys on a car parking...
The tour guide was nice and friendly. The lunch is very small and bad. Dinner, be prepared to pay for any drink you consume. Only food is included and limited.
Resuming my review, visit the Batu caves (it's very close to KL city center) and go see the fireflies. The rest is passable.
Tim_B, May 2023
Excellent guide and overall a very good trip with great food but they should drop the deer land visit. Although the deer are in good condition and have plenty of room there are other birds and animals not kept in good conditions. It said private trip but we shared with 4 others. Also visited a small batik factory which was interesting.
Helen_D, Mar 2023
Brilliantly tour well worth the money, Chandra our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating at all times, he really made the tour. He arrived on time could answer any questions we had and gave additional information whilst driving from through KL.
Don’t be put off by the length it flew by.
