Great trip to malacca with mcpall who gave details about customs and malaysian living standards. I enjoyed the small talk and personal stories.
Our tour guide Johnson was in constant communication with us and picked us up on time. We were a group of 20 pax and we used a big bus which was comfortable and clean. It's about 2.5 hours drive to Malacca and Johnson narrated a short history of the Straits of Malacca. The first stop was at St Peter's Catholic church and we love this beautiful church with a Marian grotto and Jesus Walking on the Water garden. Then we arrived at Melaka fortress with ruins and canyons. There is a short climbing of stairs to get to the St Francis Xavier statue with its right hand cut off. We really enjoyed walking around the Red Dutch Square, the banks of the river, and Jonker street. Lunch at Anaknyonya was delicious. Overall it was a very good tour and highly recommended.
Sorry I forgot the tour guide name. His is very knowledgeable about history, local and spot on about extras activities after the trip finished so we can continue doing some other things as he suggested
Long journéy but interesting to meet a old colonial town wit historic interest.. the tour hide Johnson Johnson was very good explaning the key points of Melaka
A very interactive experience. We enjoyed the day including getting in the river with the Elephants.
William was a great and energetic guide. He made me excited to learn about Malacca. I loved his stories and felt he made the tour better. This is a great way to see Malacca. Worth the money,
Very good value for the money. Although it rained for most of the day, we enjoyed visiting Maleka. We learned a lot about the history of Malaysia.
Lionel Doss is highly recommended. He is well versed in Malaysian, specifically Melaka history & culture. I learned a lot from him. He’s professional, knowledgeable, courteous, respectful. My sincere thanks to him and the company for providing such an excellent service.
We went on a Sunday and were unable to go into the 1st church on our tour because there was a service going on. We left almost every stop late because some tour members returned to the bus late and there was no consequence, so it continued to happen. Annoying for those that made it back on time. The tour made it easy to visit Malacca and I recommend it for those that would like to visit another town.
Informative and enjoyable, there is however a shopping stop at the end, which was surprisingly good. Lunch was also very good, and the tour guide Lionel was excellent, and very helpful
It was a great day out with Sasi, fantastic tour guide . Lots of knowledge and humor. Highly recommended
The city itself is quite nice, but the guide was poorly planned. Most attraction we saw was just a photo stop, but we were forced to stay at each location for at least 20 minutes without actually seeing it, squeezing our limited free time which itself needs to be extended. Several other highlights are excluded like baba nyonya museum, which is never being mentioned for even once. The guide gives bleak explanation while makes boundaryless jokes about colonisation and our group, not funny.
Had a great tour with our guide named Lionel. It was very factual which we liked. It is very hot so bring an umbrella and fan if you can
Great experience with guide Chandran. We got a very good perspective of Malaysia’s history so everything we saw made that much more sense. Malacca is a very charming place with great history and great shopping, a must visit for anyone coming to Malaysia
Johnson was very informative and shared interesting historical facts about Malacca, making the tour more meaningful and enjoyable. It was nice learning about the heritage, culture, and stories behind the places we visited. One small reminder for future travelers — eating mango or anything inside the bus was not allowed, so it’s good to keep that in mind. Overall, it was a pleasant and educational trip. Thank you
Great thanks to our guide Melvin! He made our Malacca experience unforgettable. Good itinerary, delicious lunch, comfortable bus.
Mr Wilson and Mr Maran, - ensured it was a perfect outing. Managed well, buses were clean, you can choose the trip with food and without, I believe without is a better option.
Great value and very informative tour leader. Learnt a lot, saw a lot and highly recommend this trip
The trip was very enjoyable and full of interesting information. The program was well organized, and the guide, Johnson, did an excellent job—he was engaging, knowledgeable, and took good care of all the guests. During the day, we had a break for a tasty lunch at a local restaurant, which was a nice addition to the overall experience. Overall, I rate the trip very positively and would gladly join a similar tour again.Great and Informative Tour Experience
Bus very confortable.
Visit interesting, with a good timing.
Nice lunch.
Lionel, the guide, was very pleasant.
We had a lot of traffic to go back to KL but not an issue with the tour of course.
I recommand the guide and the tour to discover Malacca if you don't have a lot of time as me.
We visited the places stated, but guide Mag did not seem knowledgeable about them. Lunch ok but not the fusion food promised. Bus did not take us back to our hotel despite tour being advertised as pick up drop off to hotel. Would not recommend.
Be prepared for a very hot day and rain. The sites were interesting but the information and narration provided was rather sparse. I would suggest doing some research ahead in your own to improve your understanding on the tour. I was a bit unclear a lot of the time of the history and story of places we visited.
It was a long bus ride and not very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but I didn’t think it was worth a day trip.
Vino was a very knowledgeable and efficient guide. Malacca was very interesting and I definitely recommend this day trip to experience the world heritage site.
This tour begins at the oldest church in Malacca, followed by a photo stop at the mosque, then a climb up to some ruins with a panoramic view, and walk back down to the red Square. While the lunch was tasty, the portion was not enough for six people at the table. I would suggest large larger portions the free time allows you to see Melaka at your own pace for at least two hours. Vino provided an excellent commentary and endured that everyone had the information needed to meet the bus after the free time. I recommend this Tour.
The tour was a bad experience, even in normal traffic it takes 3 hours to get to Malacca and usually more to get back, and when you get there there's little to see.
The churches were bare and uninteresting, the mosque looked nice but you see it only from a distance, there's little left of the old fort and in the main street you'll find just gift shop that are the same of any market in Kuala Lumpur.
The guide Nelson stayed with us only for the visit at the fort, for the rest of the time he just gave some basic info on the bus and we were left alone.
After a bit of a slow start getting out of KL, we ended up having a great day trip. Johnson, our tour guide was great. As we got closer to Malacca, he filled us with interesting stories and the history of the area.
The included lunch was surprisingly nice and the comfort of AC was very welcomed. Great Day out, highly recommend!
Fantastic value for money. Johnson was a brilliant guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Food at local restaurant for lunch was excellent. All in all a fabulous in a beautiful place
Great itinerary…and our great guide, Ning, was really informative and shared lots of information with us. Enjoyed seeing Malacca, the mosque, temples, and churches, and Jonker Street as well. It’s 2 hours out there and it took over 3 hours to return to the city. Enjoyed the day!
Good tour of the city of Malacca with tour guide Lionel, who was very knowledgable about Malaysia and history of the places we visited.
