A very early start for hotel pick up 5:40am. Well organised and knowledgeable guide. Felt safe on the drive through picturesque scenery stopping at strawberry farm, flower farm and waterfall in addition to the main tea plantation.

Wonderful Cameron Highlands Tour with Mr. Khelvin

Ychele_d, Mar 2026
We had a wonderful experience on the Cameron Highlands Tour with Lunch from Kuala Lumpur, and Mr. Khelvin was an excellent guide. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the entire journey. The drive to Cameron Highlands was very comfortable, and Mr. Khelvin shared many interesting facts about Malaysia, the region, and the tea plantations along the way. His explanations made the tour much more engaging and enjoyable. The scenery in Cameron Highlands was beautiful, and visiting the tea plantations, local farms, and markets was a great experience. Lunch was also very nice and well organized. Mr. Khelvin was very attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. Thank you, Mr. Khelvin, for making this trip such a memorable experience. We highly recommend this tour and especially Mr. Khelvin as a guide!

Very good the driver and the tour guide were great. We had enough time in each of the areas we visited. The tour guide Melvin was very knowledgeable and gave us enough information of the history and the current events in Cameron Highlands.

Waste of money

Michael_D, Mar 2026
Old coach with broken window by door taking you to venues for you to spend money. Best bit was meal at golf club. Picture on Viator website is very mis leading. You get taken to small tea plantation with a sign you can walk to on a small hill.

Great way to visit the Cameron Highlands from KL. Our guide Melvin was the best. He gave us information about the areas as we were moving through & even helped someone struggling with motion sickness on our way back to KL. I felt that we had enough time at each location and the tour did not feel rushed. The bus journey was comfortable and traffic was not bad due to Ramadan and it being a weekday. I just wished the stop on the way back had some more food options because I was quite hungry at that point. Highly recommend.

This tour is not worth the cost and the time. It is too long i.e. almost four hour trip one way without any offer for pickup. Nothing exciting.

Trifeena_J, Feb 2026
MC did a great job setting expectations for the guided tour and explaining each stop. The day was at a good pace and the timing of each spot felt adequate. Coordination leading up to the experience was well-communicated. Chandran and Robert were our drivers taking us safely from one location to the next. The option for a pick-up in the morning and drop-off in the evening was especially convenient.

Fantastic tour

Great tour. Pack an umbrella and rain coat incase needed. The tea plantation is definitely a highlight.

Good tour, 8 hrs ride, but beautiful scenery

Jasmine_F, Feb 2026
My spouse and I enjoyed the tour. There were a couple hiccups, but overall we had a good time. The best parts were the agro market, my wife really loved being out in nature and amongst the tea plants, and seeing the beautiful forrested route was nice. Be advised that you don't get to actually see the process of tea making and the tea factory is closed on Mondays, though I don't think we would have toured it either way. I have to say that a 4 hr ride there and back is a bit much, especially since you dont get to see any process of tea making. Therefore, it would be cool to stay a night or two in the Cameron Highlands if your schedule allows. It's very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful and relaxing. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, told us about things along the way, and had a friendly demeanor. For planning purposes please be aware that the time of this tour shifts a bit. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of as I'm sure pickup locations influence pickup time. During the local lunch the tour guide made sure the country club was aware of my pineapple allergy. A portion of two of the dishes were specifically prepared without pineapple for me, which I truly appreciated. The food was good and we received hearty portions. The bus was well air conditioned and clean, however there was a strong smell of mildew that lessened over time but never went away. The bus didn't have a bathroom, but we stopped at decent bathrooms about 2 hrs in on the way there and back. If you get cold easily I'd bring something to keep warm, as well as a snack or two because lunch is at about 1 pm, and depending on traffic you'll get back pretty late. At the strawberry farm the guide gave us each a pack of strawberries, which was really sweet. On the way back we made a stop at a small village, and were told it was to see a man blow a pipe. I believe the stop was to give the breaks on the bus time to cool off since we were traveling down hill for quite a while (though that's not what we were told). I felt out of place walking through the village because that is where they live, and I didn't like the thought of them being on display. This stop lasted approximately 20 minutes. The traffic was horrible on the way back, so we took an extra bathroom break which was thoughtful. My only major issue was that the tour stated we were to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel, but they tried to drop us off at a busy intersection with only haphazard instructions on how to get back to our hotel. The tour guide tried to convince us and another lady that our hotel was just across the intersection and up a hill. We're not from Kuala Lumpur, and we intentionally book with tour companies that will pickup and drop off at our hotel because that helps us feel safe. We insisted on being taken to our hotel because we didn't know where we were and felt uncomfortable. I don't think the driver or guide were happy with our remaining firm about the drop off location. Under the right circumstances we may have been ok with walking but we're two females, it was almost 10pm, we had numerous bags from shopping, we were tired, and we weren't given clear instructions on where exactly our hotel was. All in all, this we saw some cool places, and enjoyed the tour.

Darwin made my Cameron Highlands tour truly pleasant and enjoyable with his witty sense of humour and engaging personality. He shared fascinating insights into the local history, culture, and lifestyle, which made the journey both informative and fun. His storytelling and warm approach turned the tour into a memorable experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

The Cameron Highlands tea valley was absolutely the highlight of this day tour. It was so much fun to hike up to the Cameron tea Valley sign to enjoy the view. Our tour guide Darwin was very informative and fun. Our driver Mr Ravi was a true professional as the drive was not easy on those narrow roads.

Cameron Highlands as a solo traveller

sandicalton, Jan 2026
It's a very long day and be prepared to do lots of walking. If you have limited mobility, this might not be suitable for you as there are a lot of steps at some of the stops. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and met some lovely people too. McPall was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. Mr Sare was our driver and I felt perfectly safe at all times. We were given a bottle of water and then later we all received a small punnet of strawberries. Most places we visited would only take cash as you can't always guarantee the internet connection. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the Tea Plantation. I thought we would see the whole process of the leaves being picked and then what happens after that. Unfortunately, we didn't see any of the process. The views at the plantation were amazing though. All in all, a really good day out. The downside of being a solo traveller is that you have to make your own way to one of the pick up points, however on the way back, if your hotel is on the way, they will drop you off at your hotel. I appreciate that it's not possible to pick up at everyone's individual hotel and I just pre-ordered a Grab taxi in the morning so it wasn't an issue. I chose not to get off the coach to see the waterfall as I'd picked up a slight injury a few days before and didn't want to risk slipping on the wet surfaces. Be mindful with timings. We were late leaving in the morning as some passengers arrived about 15 minutes late. These same passengers were often late back at each stop so that all added extra time onto the day. We got back to KL about 90 minutes later than anticipated. Thankfully I hadn't pre-ordered a Grab taxi for my return journey.

Grew day out!

Really enjoyed this trip. Lots of travelling but saw a lot of the countryside. Great guide Darwin and nice meal.

Know the amaz Cameron Highland.

Christine_R, Jan 2026
It is an 4 hr drive one way to spend 1 hr and 30 minutes at Cameron highland, lunch 30 min and an hour in their market/flower show. If i would do it again i would opt to stay overnight. A bit too strict in the bus with no food allowed except for water. On the bright side, they scheduled several bathroom breaks which was appreciated. The location itself was underwhelming. While the cooler temperature compared to KL was appreciated, much of the tea leaves were harvested so we were left with brown tree branches to view.

Nice tea plantation

Manuela_A, Jan 2026
Beautiful landscapes. Charlie, our guide, was very nice and gave us lots of information. The downside, it was too far. 4 hrs going there and 4 hrs to come back. We spent more time on the bus than on the trip.

One day in tea empire

Anna_L, Dec 2025
Although it started very early we were notified about this in advance. Lunch was great however the total amount of food was slightly too small for some people. It was great experience and we have learned a lot.

Outstanding experience

Badruddin_P, Dec 2025
The trip to Cameron Highlands was excellent. The guide was excellent and provided very good commentary throughout. He was very well organised during the entire trip. The only part overdone was the tea gardens where we spent two hours, one and a half hours might have been plenty. Especially since it was raining very heavily. However the trip comprehensively covered all areas of Cameron Highlands worth covering.

Definitely worthwhile to see. The Cameron Highlands are exotic and beautiful. A part of Malaysia that must be experienced.

Early Start but Worthwhile

Jeremy_C, Nov 2025
My guide Khelvin was very nice, and he treated every participant with a box of local strawberries! The Agro Market and the Cameron Tea Valley are very beautiful, but some steps and altitude must be overcome to explore the most of these two attractions. Pickup for the tour could start as early as 6 am, as Cameron Highlands is a 3-4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur, and the road can be very congested on Friday to Sunday. Bring enough cash for food and shopping in Cameron Highlands.

Experience was great,...

Amazing tour

Bev_H, Oct 2025
Melvin was a very friendly guide who shared a lot of knowledge with us. The tour was incredible. I would highly recommend it.

That’s nice, thanks!

Soraya_G, Oct 2025
We really loved our guide, Heartz! The experience was very interesting overall. We just have one exception — we would remove the visit to the market, as it felt like a wasted hour and we didn’t get to fully enjoy the waterfalls. We think the visit to the tea plantations was nice, but it would be great if they included a more engaging guided tour inside the plantations and ended with a tea tasting — that would make it a truly beautiful experience.

Excellent Trip

JULIE_H, Oct 2025
Early start to begin travel, but worth it as this is a popular destination for KL visitors. Everything went smoothly and our guide Darwen kept us well informed at all times. Felt very safe with our driver. Tea plantation was the highlight. Husband loved the lunch at the golf club.

Cameron Highlands Highlights

Maree_I, Oct 2025
Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We totally enjoyed our visit to all the highlights. It was a very busy holiday weekend and the traffic was terrible but the driver was very experienced.

Amazing experience 100% worth it

Aigerim_M, Oct 2025
Highly recommended experience! Our guide Sasi was very knowledgeable about Malaysia background and the way he explained was full of funny stories which made the excursion even more interesting. Cameron Highland is a must excursion when visiting Malaysia especially the village where Jungle people are based. Thanks Sasi for such great memories!
