Kiran was the best! Very passionate and dedicated doing his job. She showed us all the hidden gems of KL. Delicious food and a must tour to have if visiting KL.

Great way to kill a couple of hours & see parts of KL off the regular path . Stephen was a great guide ! Had lots of laughs & some great food . Make sure you try the Durian 🤣

I was hesitant to book since I have a short time in KL but this was a fantastic tour that also incorporated a little history and culture along with some great bites. We trialed more than a dozen food and beverage items across about 4 different stalls, and the tour was extremely well organized ending at the Petronas towers and the saloma bridge. There was a table reserved for us at every stall, and the portion sizes were great and our guide took care to make sure it was tailored to our preferences. There’s a little walking between some stalls which felt nice and allowed for our group to mingle and get to know each other. This is a great tour, and Uncle Sam our guide is a wealth of knowledge and seriously funny. Highly recommend this experience!

This tour gives you another look at the city. Moving within mostly Old Kuala Lumpur, you get to visit stores you otherwise would have missed. Our guide, Kiran, and probably the best commentator of the history and culture of KL that we could have asked for. A must try if it’s your first time visiting.

What a great experience, not only cultural but delicious as well. So much food and such a great variety, with the option to get lots more if you wanted (which you didn’t). Sean was a great host and very knowledgeable guide and his great connection with all the stall and restaurant owners was really good to see. Highly recommend this

This was our first food tour adventure and it was amazing. Kirim was our guide. Extremely knowledgeable, she shared the history and culture behind all the foods as well as Malaysia. She also went out of her way to share some local fruits from the nearby markets. Her energy and excitement for the local cuisine was infectious. We tried many different foods from multiple eateries, all truly authentic and fresh. We were 2 of a group of 8. Perfect size and we had wonderful companions which added to the enjoyment. Some foods we all liked and some foods only a few. But that is the essence of a food tour. To sample foods you would otherwise never experience. Any future food tours now have a high bar to compare with.

This was a great food tour and a fantastic introduction to Malaysian cuisine. I don’t think I fully appreciated what five hours would feel like—I was definitely tired by the end—but we covered a lot and sampled a wide variety of dishes.
We even had the chance to make our own roti, which was a fun highlight. Our guide, Ian, was friendly and funny, and he worked hard to keep the group engaged and taken care of throughout the tour. With Ramadan affecting stall hours and availability, there were some delays and changes to the plan, but he handled it as best he could and kept things moving.
One small tip: if you have any dietary restrictions, it’s definitely worth noting them in advance. I forgot to mention my aversion to cilantro, and although it only came up in one dish, it did create some complications during an already hectic moment (with non-stop fireworks going off nearby from Ramadan), which I could tell added a bit of stress to the situation
Overall, despite a few chaotic moments, this was a really enjoyable experience. The food was great, the guide was knowledgeable, and I would do this tour again.

Fab tour.. worth doing especially if it's your first time in Kuala-Lumpur! Ian did an amazing job sharing the history of the dishes we tried. I'm still dreaming about the satay (my favourite)!

Our Sambal Streets tour in central KL was absolutely brilliant! Led by our fantastic guide, Ian, this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Ian’s knowledge of the local food scene and history made the experience both insightful and fun.
We explored hidden gems in Chow Kit and Kampung Baru that we never would have found on our own. The variety of dishes was incredible, but the satay was the undisputed star—truly the best we’ve ever had!
It was wonderful to be in the heart of the city, discovering authentic spots we are already planning to go back to. If you’re in KL, this tour is a delicious must-do!
Karen_L, Feb 2026

Absolutely fantastic tour with Jayani! “Jay” was incredibly fun, informative and shared lots of information about Malay culture and food. Every single stop was filled with delicious food! Jay also introduced us to different kinds of fruits that we would never have eaten on our own. She was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about KL’s food scene. We tried a wide variety of dishes, and were completely stuffed by the end. One of the best food tours we have ever been on!

Anna_B, Feb 2026
This was a glorious dive into local food cultures, accompanied by Nim's energetic and informative descriptions and stories. She's fabulous! And the food was rich, varied, fresh, unexpected, and - of course - excellent. Top tip: don't eat everything on the first stop! This is a superb way to meet the real KL.
Grahamme_M, Feb 2026
Very informative, loads of food, fabulous guide. Kieran did an amazing job, would highly recommend her, highly intelligent and beautiful person, who really looked after us.
ryanbaldwin1, Jan 2026
Pushed us both out of our comfort zone. Would have never stopped at any of these places without Jay and the very clear health standards and hygiene in place. Enjoyed all the stops and no issues with feeling ill afterwards
Victor_P, Jan 2026
This food tour was fantastic. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting insight about each stop. And wow — there was so much food. Every stop was delicious, generous, and totally worth it. Definitely come with an empty stomach because you’ll be eating a lot. Such a great experience overall.
