    Great activity for family

    Nancy_B, Jun 2026
This was a great experience and intro to Malaysian food. Our 13 and 15 year old kids were not excited to go but they really enjoyed it and were glad we did in the end. The facility is close to Bukit Bintang, air conditioned and very cute inside. The host was so patient and kind. Perfect way to spend our first day in KL and way to spend 2.5 hours in the middle of an hot day. Everyone in our family is still talking about it!

    Delightful cooking class

    Patricia_K, May 2026
Easy to find, with a sign on sidewalk. Renee was an excellent instructor and clearly described the spices and the dishes we made with them. Plenty of hands-on activity to prepare the food. We got the recipes to take home. Highly recommend!

    Fantastic time

I book this cooking class as it was in the city and easy to get to. With Two 16 year old boys, I was a bit worried they get bored, but they had a great time and totally enjoyed the classes. Looking for a fun activity to do with friends or family would recommend this cooking class

A waste of time and money.

Class was supposed to be a three-hour experience. It lasted less than two hours. Prepared only one simple dish, something traditionally eaten daily for any meal. We sautéed some onions and added some seasonings. The instructor prepared the side condiments in advance. Did not learn anything new. I was very disappointed in the experience.

    Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hi sir, Thank you for your review. we are truly sorry you felt this way, To clarify, the class followed our current standard menu, where every guests prepare four dishes, not one. We also cooked 4 dishes, pakora, chicken curry from scratch, kesari & masala chai on that day, 8 January 2026. We always focus on one curated menu per session, as advertised. As this was a solo class, the session naturally moved faster and concluded earlier, and you left the class appearing happy & satisfied. Complimentary coffee was provided upon request twice, although it is not part of our menu, as a gesture of hospitality. We always do our best to ensure our guests feel comfortable and well looked after as our other guest felt. We truly did our best to host you and appreciate your feedback. We wish you all the best and hope to welcome you again :)

    You actually learn to cook!!

This class was so informative that i feel like i could actually make these dishes at home! I learned so much about Indian/Malay spices and ways of cooking--really grateful for all the knowledge that Rene shared.

One of the best experiences of my Trip

    Joanna_D, Jul 2025
I am beyond happy to have gotten the Chance to learn to cook authentic Indian food at this class. The instructor was so friendly, very gentle and knew answers to all of my questions. She showed me the packages of the spices and told me where I could get them, and even sent me recipes for other dishes, that I came across during my travels and didn't know the name of. She teaches her family way of cooking which makes it feel very authentic and not "made" for tourists. Every step is explained very well, so I can recommend it to beginner cooks as well as people who have experience in cooking. The whole studio is very clean, and very beautifully decorated and you can see the passion in the preparation and presentation of the spices and the interior. I was actually surprised by the price as it's actually pretty cheap for a full 3 hour and 4 course experience. This class was one of my favorite experiences of my whole Malaysia trip!

    Highly Recommend with excellence

A privilege to attend. The instructor is very knowledgeable about Malaysian cuisine and culture. And the menu was excellent, filling, and well organized. It’s a hands on experience that I highly recommend to any individual, couple, or group.
