Bottom line: AVOID this company
This just happened this morning. I was excited to wake up early, get dressed up in a suit, and take advantage of the beautiful empty streets of Istanbul. I also left them a message 30 minutes beforehand (through Viator). No responses to anything even as I write this.
I got to the meeting point (Blue Mosque) at 7am (my scheduled reservation) and waited for 30 minutes giving this photographer the benefit of the doubt. I even contacted Viator who tried to call this company (Viator said their phone line was busy and couldn’t reach them).
With my precious limited time here wasted I had no choice but to give up. At least there was a nice cat that kept me company and the scenery was beautiful.
Do yourself a favor and save your precious time, energy, and good will by booking with someone else!

I booked a photoshoot specifically for 7am because I was on a time crunch, and the listing says that we "need to start early in the morning". I got a text from my photographer the night before asking to do the photoshoot at 11am instead, which completely messed up my timeline. He agreed to do it at 10am, which was again 3 hours later than when I needed it done, but whatever.
I paid for a photo shoot at multiple locations, and the photographer said I could only get photos near the Hagia Sophia, and he was willing to offer me photos at Seven Hills when it was already part of my package. I did not have any photos taken at any of the other locations mentioned in the listing.
I received the raw files in a relatively timely manner, but It's been about 3 weeks, and I haven't received my edits. The photographer told me he emailed them and has proceeded to ignore me every time I message him saying I didn't receive them.

You were clearly informed about the since it is winter time and it is not possible to start that early because sun rises in Istanbul very late. We were scheduled with you to shoot in Old city area and
in Seven Hills terrace but the extra location didn't take place because you informed us about your flight that you have to catch up. Maybe you forgot :)

I booked my experience and asked about a makeup artist. She was AMAZING. She even caught that it would be dark at 7 and suggested the photo shoot be moved to 8 am. The owner agreed with her recommendation. Everything was fine and professional until the day of my shoot. In the advert it says German fountain, blue mosque, Bosporus bridge, location of choice and a few other locations free. That rooftops would be extra. It also says you will get over 400 raw photos of which you need to select 25 for editing. My photographer was 26 minutes late. I was not taken to all the locations, I only received 171 raw photos. When I brought this to the owner attention the photographer reached out to me saying we can meet and finish the shoot for free. What do you mean for free? I already paid for it. I also paid to have my makeup done so I would have to pay again to do my makeup for this issue? Also, they wanted me to rearrange my itinerary to meet again. I am in talks with the owner about this situation and hope this will be resolved.

Thanks for taking time for writing this review. The photographer confused your photoshoot with another photoshoot and he didn't do 1 another location for your photoshoot but anyway you were offered for another make up and hair service and another photoshoot from the beginning totally for free. You were very confused and didn't know what you want. At the end we gave you a full refund which we didn't have to. Because most of the photoshoot part was done. We could do partly refund but we gave you a full refund.

Amazing photos on top of Seven Hills rooftop, in front of Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque, and at the Bosphorus. Our photographer took almost 2,000 photos and gave them to us the same day! He drove us to the Bosphorus in his car with snacks. We did have to find our own transportation back to our hotel. It was a great experience and would recommend highly!

Quick: Convenient booking for being on a Cruise Ship; however, photos are very lack-luster. On a cloudy day such as mine: 99% of people would have done the same or better with an iPhone. The photographer's personality is absolutely wonderful and I am giving him 3 stars for the overall experience of being picked up and conducting an enjoyable photoshoot. Looking at the photographer's instagram I can see a great deal of technical ability and wonderful composition making it very disappointing that this shoot was treated without the same love of light.
Background: I am a photographer myself and have shot professionally for 2 years for Marriott Hotels. I am extremely familiar with photography (7+ Years) and at the time of booking the photographer used my exact same setup. Canon 5D Mark III with a Sigma 35mm f1.4 art and 85mm F1.2 Canon L
I have uploaded some of the images that have came directly from the shoot and here is the feedback:
1. The photographer (like his instagram) should have used horizon lines much better. Not only are horizon lines very crooked the photographer has a preference to shoot diagonally downwards. This is a stylized choice and presents a tremendous amount of perspective skew on a Sigma 35mm lens. [yes this can be corrected post processing] However shooting a straight horizon line and distracting foregrounds cannot be corrected. The photographer needs to position himself lower to compose a more professionally looking photo.
2. The day we shot had a slight sprinkle and overcast skies. This is considered very easy light since there are no shadows - however it makes photos very uninteresting and boring. The photos you see in the example booking all use flash to make the editorial style. This can be edited on an overcast day, but also makes it 1000x easier to use a simple pocket flash so you do not have to overpower the sun to get the same results. The fact the photographer did not use a flash at all in daylight told me immediately that this is not an editorial style photoshoot. I don't personally like being presented photos and given an entirely different results. This is a very classic bait and switch tactic in my opinion and I do not respect this type of marketing. On a side note - you can recreate this style shooting intentionally 1-2 stops darker than the sky with RAW. I asked for all raw images and the photographer agreed before the shoot started. I was given jpegs about 4-6 mb in size. When asking for raw images after the shoot the photographer said there was no edits applied and this was full resolution. This means the photographer set his camera to shoot in jpeg small and used a creative filter or saturation in portrait mode most likely with orange +2. Without any raw image I can't load and see original camera settings.
3. Locations are unimpressive. Lots of tourists in the background, not a ton of creativity in composing an editorial type photo. When I am shooting clients I have one of two goals in mind. A) I am trying to get 1 absolutely stunning photo in a single location [Editorial]
B) I am looking to get 10-12 photos to create a story [Story]
The photographer has a trigger finger and scrolling through the photos he takes a very excessive amount of photos. This is evident in beginning photographers and shows the thought behind the concept of the photo is being lost.

I really don't know why you spent so much of your time writing this on here instead of asking me on instagram that these photos are with no retouch. These photos have no editing, I sent you your photos so that you can choose best 25 of them and let me know which ones. But you didn't do that, you downloaded photos, you edited them yourself you changed the sky, you posted them on instagram. It seems to me that you liked them so much that you posted 3 photos on a row even :) But in general I know everybody to know that you came to photo shoot for editorial fashion kind a photo shoot because you have a clothes brand and you wanted me to shoot your brand. This is not a fashion or editorial photo shoot! This is a basic tour for tourists in touristic locations. If it was boring you would have told me that before.
About the tourists being around I have asked you many times if we can do this photo shoot earlier but it wasn't possible on your side since you were coming with a cruise and it was only arriving at 10am. Instead of cancelling on you I have accepted that. Also you asked me if I could pick you up from the port because you didn't know how to get there, I made a gesture and came to your port only for you even it is not included in the package here. After the photo shoot you asked also to drop you back, I did also drop you back to the port which also wasn't part of this photo shoot. I am shocked to read this comment by especially from you after making a lot of gestures to you and plus you being a photographer you should know what retouching is. Also I have never used flash in my life.

I initially thought this was great in terms of the photographer his shots and openess in making me feel comfortable. After the shot, the photographer stated he would send some instructions with the photos. Photos were sent but no instructions communicated. Nevertheless, I got the photos after communicating with the owner or boss. This was supposed to come with a reel which i still have yet to received. I reached out to the owner and he asked me if his employee took the videos as if it was my job to check on his employee. I think there is many of excursion such as this one avail in Instabul. I wouldn't recommend this one as the communication us poor ans I still have yet to receive the reels.

You only didn't receive those reel videos that photographer made on his mobile because he has the lates iPhone and he thought that he makes for you better videos. It was his gesture. He just sent you those videos a bit late but he sent anyway We can see that you liked the photos you liked locations you liked photographer. And there is nothing here to be 1 star rating. We believe that it was 5 stars experience and your photos came out so good. Have a nice day!

Outstanding experience! Recep is an incredibly talented photographer. I've worked with many photographers before, and the vast majority are the very basic "say cheese and smile" types. What you really need is director. You need someone who not only has a deep knowledge of the technical details such as lighting, but who can also property setup a scene, and guide their clients. Recep also drove me to different locations, and provided me with all the originals (over 600). If you're looking or a highly-professional shoot, I would absolutely recommend.

Redjep was my photographer and he was really professional and knowledgeable about where is the best photography spots around Istanbul. He contacted me once I booked and coordinate everything making things super easy for me. If you want to get great vacation photos just for memories, special occasions, or if you're like me who travel solo it's the best way to have someone capture you on the trip and he sent the pictures to you within a couple of days. Definitely would recommend him and work with him again in the future.
