We had a wonderful bike tour with Cem. We had our own bikes, so we met him at a different tram station. He communicated well. We rode for about 4 hours and 12 miles, taking ferries to the Asia side and back. Cem was very knowledgeable and has fantastic bike handling skills! Coffee and a sweet at the shop powered s through the afternoon. Great tour!

We had a fantastic day cycling with Cem, Omer and Efe! They were knowledgeable and patient, helping all riders to participate with comfort, despite having to climb hills at times. We got to experience the authentic life of Istanbul on both continents, Europe and Asia. A must-do experience!

A carefully crafted tour by Cem and his company. Great sightseeing of both European and Asian Istanbul. We were very well taken care of and the ride was easy. The ferry ride offered a great view of Istanbul from the water and a quick way to get to see both sides of this historical city. Cem gave us a great historical perspective as well as views of modern day life. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to enjoy a leisurely ride away from busy old town and get different perspectives from the Bosphorus. Thank you Cem and Toona!

Istanbul on Bike

Gary_E, Apr 2026
Of the many City Bike tours we've done, this was among the best. Our guide Tolga was great- Fun to ride with and knowledgeable about history and current day Istanbul. The opportunity to ride on both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul was a great way to learn about the city and the ferry transportation across the Bosphorus provided some great views and picture opportunities.

A bike ride and a ferry for different views!

Fantastic bike tour of Istanbul.

Fantastic bike tour. Cem was knowledgeable, informative and engaging. And a super nice guy. We had a great time exploring part of Istanbul we had never seen before. Along the way, Cem educated us about history, culture, food and sport. The bikes were in great condition and easy to operate.

Excellent bike tour of Istanbul’s 2 continents

Wonder Tour with Asli

Tim_S, Jul 2025
This is a wonderful way to see Istanbul. Our guide was Asli. Asli was lovely and very informative. The ride appropriate for most people who are comfortable on a bike and have decent fitness.

Fun time in Istanbul!

dpurdue, Jul 2025
We had a fantastic time exploring both sides of Istanbul. Cem was a gracious host and an amazing guide. There’s no better way to explore a new city than by bike!

Fun ride

Ann_C, May 2025
Great ride. Our tour was very enjoyable and we enjoyed the ferries for city views. Overall it was pretty flat but there were a few steep hills.

Great ride around Istanbul with excellent guide

Iain_G, Feb 2025
We had a great day riding through the Old City and taking the ferry across to the Asian side. Ikbal was a great guide with genuine interest in both history and biking. He was patient with us when we needed more time riding. In addition, we really enjoyed his informative history of Istanbul. The local people are warm and friendly, even though they are suffering so much hardship at the moment with their economy.

Peddling around Istanbul

Susan_B, Nov 2024
Such a fabulous way to see both sides of Istanbul Furkan our guide was terrific. He had plenty of information to share and was also good fun. Highly recommend this tour. The bikes were well maintained, the tour not too over taxing but it had a few hills to feel as though we were getting a little work out. When in Istanbul, do it!!!!! Thanks Furkan and Efe. Cheers Sue and Ross

Great cycling tour

Very knowledgeable local guide who paced the group very well. Lots of stops for photos on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul where he provided local and historical information. Good coffee stop too.

Great Overview European and Asian sides

Ford_D, Oct 2024

Happy bike tour in Istanbul

ken_t, Oct 2024
Great bike tour on both sides of Istanbul with a fun & knowledgeable guide! Took us to areas we would not have seen.

Great ride - recommend for anyone.

Kathryn_B, Oct 2024
Excellent bike tour. Great guides! The terrain was mostly flat with only 3-4 hills to conquer. I am used to riding an e-bike but they only had regular 21 speed bikes - however, the ride and terrain was still very doable really for anyone as long as you know how to manage the gear shifts required ti get up the hills. One item to note - the meet location really is next to the Balat Tram/Bus stations so do not follow Google maps which will take you to a residential area where you have to walk up a very steep hill to reach the location on the map, only to realize it is not the meeting point but someone’s house.

A fantastic way to explore Istanbul

Richard_B, Oct 2024
What a great tour. We are a group of 10 middle-aged “lads”, some of us are experienced cyclists but others (being polite) are less used to exercising. Iko, our main guide for the day, was knowledgeable, very friendly, and came to our rescue when one of our senior members of the group decided to ride off in the wrong direction and get himself lost. The route is (mostly) flat and away from main roads, and you get to see both European and Asian sides of Turkey with a ferry ride between the two. Traffic was a bit crazy on the few roads we did cycle along but that’s just Istanbul. You’ve just got to be ready for it and deal with it. Bonus points for anyone who successfully cycles up the hill back to their office/shop in Balat. You’ll need a good set of lungs/legs to do that. But you can walk up it with your bike if you prefer. I did - no need to be macho about the challenge unless you want to. Highly recommend.

Nice way to get acquainted with Istanbul

Scott_S, Sep 2024
My wife and I did this tour on our first full day in Istanbul. Neither of us had been to Turkey before. Furkan was our guide and he did a great job. He was very friendly and eager to show us what he could. Overall I would say this was a nice tour to get acquainted with the city. We biked all over and got to see more local parts of the city which was nice. My wife and I had different expectations for what the tour would consist of though. We thought it would be similar to a bike tour we did in Rome where it was packed with information about the city and the history. Here it was more biking around and getting pieces of information about the neighborhoods. On top of this, Furkan gave us the nicest bikes he could, but they were kind of disappointing. I’m 6’2” and was too tall for the bike, but still made it through the entire tour. The routing felt safe, there was only one stretch where we were on a road with the Istanbul traffic and that only lasted for 2-3 minutes. I think this tour has potential to be great. I just hope they add more information and improve the bikes.

Very fun and unique experience

Alex_S, Sep 2024
Such a great way to see Istanbul, but off the beaten trail. The two brothers who took us spoke English well. They were very knowledgeable of the city and willing to point out the sights. Biking is a little crazy in such a busy town. It rained during our tour, but they stayed longer to give us the full tour we paid for.

Fun, but probably beat for experienced riders

Byron_K, Sep 2024
Great tour of different parts of the city. Took us away from many of the more tourists spots which was nice. Really good to ride around the Asia side. Tour guide was also very good, and really ensured everyone was taken care of. All that said, Istanbul isn't a bike friendly city. We didn't see many others on bike and the locals seemed surprised to be around bikes. Keep in mind Istanbul is one of the most populist city in the world, and it did get tricky avoiding people in certain areas. I'd still recommend it, but be prepared and forewarned.

Best Walking Tour of Istanbul

Marianne_V, Aug 2024
Cicek was a fabulous guide. Her knowledgeable guidance through the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia gave us insights we wouldn’t have otherwise had. We ate lunch together where she shared her knowledge of Turkish cuisine. Later she guided us through the Grand Bazar and helped us locate the vendors for the items we wanted to purchase. Highly recommend!

A cycling adventure on two continents

STEVE_N, Aug 2024
Istanbul doesn't have much bike infrastructure, and the bike lanes that do exist are mostly ignored by pedestrians. Sometimes we had to use a sidewalk to avoid blocking the narrow streets, and occasionally it seemed we had to bend the rules to get where we wanted to go. The guides did their best to create a route that was relatively easy to navigate and not too physically demanding – mostly along the coastline, with relaxing ferry rides in between. You won't see any of the famous sites up close, and we didn't get much historical background, but we got a good impression of several parts of the city. Not recommended for beginners, but we had an enjoyable day on this tour.

Mustafa the magnificent

Mark_T, Aug 2024
Mustafa my guide was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable. He will change his route and itinerary depending on the needs and abilities of the group.

Extensive tour with great ambassadors

Bryan_T, Aug 2024
Mustafa and Farsad (not sure of spelling) were wonderful guides. They were very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome throughout the tour. They were wonderful ambassadors and the tour brought us to many beautiful places. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Enjoyed cycling with Mustafa!

Isaac_S, Jul 2024
I cycled with Mustafa. We started in the Balat neighborhood, then took a ferry across the Bosporus (to the Asian side of the city), where we cycled on some nice paths. Mustafa pointed out landmarks during the ride and he was very knowledgeable about the city. We then took a ferry back to the European side and cycled a bit longer. I can't wait to come back to Istanbul and cycle again!

Great bike ride through...

Teresa_N, Jul 2024
Great bike ride through both the Europe side and Asian side of Istanbul. Our guide was super friendly, informative and made the ride alot of fun for us. Its a great way to see the city. Highly recommend!

Great day out

AlanWayne_A, Jun 2024
It was a really enjoyable day, Atakan was a great guide and very knowledgable. I would recommend this tour as it is a good way to see a bit more of the Asian side of Istanbul. The tour is run at the pace you want.

Journey with Burak

Kathryn_F, Mar 2024
The whole tour with Burak - incredible. Synagogues were amazing as was the Jewish museum. Highly recommend this tour with Burak. His historical knowledge of the area was amazing. He is very professional and accommodating. He goes well beyond the outline of his tour am and gives you a very comprehensive understanding of several neighborhoods of Istanbul. One of the best tours we have taken. Do yourself a huge favor and book this tour with him..

Riding an amazing city on two continents

Sean_O, Mar 2024
Getting to ride in 2 continents in a day is special. But the tour had so many historical and interesting spots that I would never see or learn about on any other tour. Ramo was a great guide.

You’ll learn nothing. It’s just a long, semi dangerous, bike ride. .

Olaf_S, Oct 2023
Read this before booking; I do city bike tours rather often as I think it’s a great way to see a lot of a city. Berlin, Dresden, Rome and now Istanbul. This is not a tour in which you’ll learn anything about the city. Nothing. It is essentially a fast paced, often dangerous, bike ride without a single stop to explain the sites or anything else. You’ll bike to the ferry, then to a cafe, back to a ferry and back to the shop. The guides are not guides. They just bike ahead or behind, you try to keep up and you don’t stop for pictures nor do you learn ANYTHING about any of the sites you’re passing. Not even on the ferry portions. You’ll be mostly dodging cars and pedestrians, unable to enjoy the city. I rely heavily on reviews when I book while rarely writing any. This time I felt compelled to warn people. You can rent a bike and do the exact same thing for a fraction of the price and you’ll end up with pictures and might have learned something… This was our only day in Istanbul and felt like a colossal waste of time. Cut the ride shorter and show people stuff, tell them about the sites, your city and culture! This is not a city tour. It’s only expensive exercise…

Great option

Aaron_B, Sep 2023
Great tour with an amazing guide. The tour had a good pace with varied terrain and good views throughout.

Istanbul Eurasia Bike Tour

Ambar_P, Sep 2023
This is a wonderful way to see the city both the European and the Asia sides. I would have liked to have a more detail explanation of the areas as we went by. Our group was small so I thought that there was definitely time. Burchin did provide us with some recommendations for dinner and sites to see which we took advantage of right away. Thank you
