Aside from the driver being about 15 - 20 minutes late, this proved to be a positive experience. The Istanbul airport can be a tedious and daunting experience, and traffic getting there can be a beast. Our flight was scheduled for 6:00 a.m., so we asked the driver to pick us up at 3:00 a.m. because international flights require check in two hours prior to departure. The lack of traffic that early made up for the tardiness of the driver, so there was no problem, but had our flight been later in the day, this could have been a major issue.
