Buyer beware. Nice boat ride, but not if you want to see a anything

The yacht was beautiful and the staff attentive. Our tour guide was good. However, the cruise was not as described. Upon leaving the port, we turned the opposite way down the river away from the Blue Mosque and other historical sites. It turned out to be a relatively boring river, cruise, looking at mostly residential homes along the waterfront. while beautiful, we felt this was a waste of time, given our limited time in Istanbul. Upon asking the guide, whether or not we would see the Sites, he said “no we wouldn’t. This was not the itinerary”. However, that is what was published. Huge waste of money

The Bosphorus Cruise is designed to showcase iconic sites such as the Maiden’s Tower, Galata Tower, Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, Ortaköy, Rumeli Fortress, and Anadolu Fortress, and it also offers a unique view of the Old Town from the strait. Please note that all Bosphorus cruises in Istanbul follow this route along the strait and do not extend towards the Marmara Sea. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding about the route and what the tour offers. We appreciate your comments and will review our descriptions to ensure they better reflect the experience.
