A most pleasant excursion; enthusiastically recommended

I had a wonderful experience horseback riding around the countryside and forest trails near the lodge (where you might chance to see some game), and I enthusiastically recommend it. Both guide and horse were kind, patient, and good company! I certainly learned a lot in those three hours (so have no fear, first time riders; they'll take good care of you). The place is a hotel, but you can also go just for the riding (which is what I did), making something of a day or half-day trip from Budapest. The staff at the lodge were so accommodating, flexible and so kind helping me to organise this, booking my transportation to and from the lodge; I was honestly very impressed with the client-service skills (and had no problems at all doing it in English). I do recommend getting their assistance with transport (since you are unlikely to find the place on your own). I also lunched at the lodge (beautiful space, good food, excellent service; when I was there in October you could sit out back and watch the horses as you ate...). So yes: overall it was a great experience. I was blown away by the professionalism of all the staff; very impressed, and would certainly recommend this to fellow travellers, whether you wish to go just on your own or make it a couple or family event.

Très bonne expérience en campagne hongroise. Nous avons adoré la traversé dans le village de Ruzsa. Notre guide Oliver était très à l’écoute, plein d’histoire et d’anecdotes. Nous avons adoré nos 4 heures avec de très jolis chevaux. Homoki Lodge est un très bel endroit ! Je recommande à tous les amoureux de la campagne, de la forêt et du grand air !
