My wife & I decided on a whim to join this experience during our stay in Hong Kong, and I’m so glad we did. The evening started with an interesting and informative walk through the food markets, for the best part of an hour, before heading to a small cafe to start the class. We were part of a small group of six, which is a perfect size to accommodate different cooking capabilities. It was all hands-on learning the techniques, from making the dough and filling to then producing the dumplings. The reward came from cooking & eating the wonderful creations. As the better cook, I’m now glad that my wife is suitably informed about how to produce these favourite Chinese snacks. Feliz is an excellent tutor and guides you through each step of the process. We would certainly recommend this experience as a fun and enjoyable way to spend an evening in Hong Kong.

We had a wonderful experience with Feliz Yau's dumpling-making class in Hong Kong and would highly recommend it!
The experience started with a tour of the local market, where Feliz explained the different foods, ingredients, and products available. She shared helpful tips on what was worth trying, what to buy, and what to avoid, which made the market visit both educational and enjoyable.
The cooking class itself was private, relaxed, and easy to follow. Feliz was patient and knowledgeable, making the process fun for beginners while still teaching authentic techniques. She also provided us with the recipe so we can recreate the dumplings at home, which we are excited to do. In fact, we're already planning a dumpling-making party with friends and family so we can share what we learned and relive the experience.
Tea and water were provided during the class, which was a nice touch. Best of all, the dumplings turned out absolutely delicious!
If you're visiting Hong Kong and looking for a unique and memorable culinary experience, this class is definitely worth doing.

It was a great experience to learn how to make dumplings from scratch. The wet market walk was interesting. Feliz did not text me the right recipe for the dumplings.

That find at the beginning was a little hard because on the booking app a different metro exit booth than in the mail I had read only after the meeting.
I liked the fact that we were shown what a food market looks like, what to look out for when buying something.
It was very insightful to learn how mun makes dumplings. And they were also super delicious.
Each of us has made about 10, and in the end you might eat them. Really delicious.
