A Great way to see Hoi An and make memories - even for the non-arty husbands!

Our guide, Emily, and driver met us on time at our hotel. She told us that our painting activity was a private one with just us! She took us around the old town. We got tickets to the Cantonese Association House, the Japanese bridge shrine, the Tan Ky merchant house, a lacquered wood gallery And bought us Vietnamese coffee (quite good) and an iced Mot (cinnamon, ginger lemongrass, licorice, luohan and ice) which was excellent. We got a great picture of Hoi An and Vietnamese life from her and then it was time for painting 🎨. We met an artist on the south bank of the river and he showed us how to get started. We had lots of fun laughing and painting (sometimes having to wrest the brush off him as he corrected our incorrect view of the buildingd) and him shaking his head aty partner’s “impressionist” take on reality. After 5 hours of a truly memorable experience we ate and drank the snacks provided, prised the canvases from the stretchers and said goodbye to our lovely guide who had made it a wonderful thing to do.
