Cong, our tour guide was fantastic! Answered all questions and provided a lot of information about all the places we visited. So personable and friendly wirh everyone. Food was fabulous! Thank you chef! Enjoyed all the activities and slept so well on the boat. Since we were a 2 day/1 night cruize, it did not include a visit to the pearl farm. Cong knew that we wanted to see that so he arranged a stop at the pearl farm in Ha Long Bay on the way back to Hanoi. We learned about how the pearl is made and purchased a pearl. We highly recommend a cruise with Renea.

Enjoyed our cruise with Renea Cruises and our engaging host Cong. Kayaking was very enjoyable as was the visit to the caves. Bai Tu Long was much less crowed but still spectacular. Food was good, drinks a little pricey. Tour length was perfect for us, although really only one day, as we left at 12.30 and arrived back the following day at 11.30.

Wir hatten eine 2 tägige Tour in die Ha Long Bay gebucht, was auch sehr kurzfristig ging (den Abend davor). Die Abholung war sehr flexibel, wir waren aber auch in der Nähe, wo der Bus gestartet ist. Zunächst wurden alle verbleibenden Gäste in der Altstadt in Hanoi abgeholt, was ca. eine Stunde dauerte. Die Fahrt nach Ha Long mit dem Bus hat ca. 4 Stunden gedauert, der Fahrer war witzig und nett, hat aber auch ordentlich Gas gegeben. Bei einem Zwischenstopp an einer „Rastanlage“ konnte man auf saubere Toiletten gehen. Es war aber auch zusätzlich eine Art Souvenirshop, in dem Behinderte arbeiteten. Man wurde zu nichts überredet, es hatte aber einen seltsamen Beigeschmack, hier Souvenirs angeboten zu bekommen. Im Hafen von Ha Long war dann sehr viel los. Man wurde bei einem Café abgesetzt und vom Guide abgeholt. Bitte dort nichts kaufen, es ist nur überteuert und der Kaffee schmeckt nicht. Wir hatten aus Erfahrungsberichten gehört, dass Renea Cruises eher eine Bucht ansteuern wird, die nicht komplett überlaufen ist. Nachdem wir abgelegt hatten hat sich unser Guide Kelly vorgestellt und es gab Lunch. Das war inklusive, Getränke kosten extra. Ist nicht günstig, ein Bier kostet beispielsweise 2.5 USD. Alle Preise werden in Dollar angegeben, und wenn man beim Checkout mit Karte zahlt muss man noch 3% Gebühren drauf legen. Dann sind wir in eine wirklich sehr schöne Bucht gefahren. Die Kayak-Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen, wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe von 6 Leuten allein an einem abgelegenen Strand und haben spontan Muscheln gesammelt und über einem Feuer zubereitet. Absolutes Highlight! Danach gab es Abendessen. Hier wurde ein mehrgängiges Gericht serviert. Leider war es nicht wie versprochen typisch Vietnamesisch, sondern eher dem westlichen Gaumen angepasst. Das würden wir als den größten Minuspunkt sehen. Hier lieber weniger Gänge servieren, dafür mal eine gute Pho oder auch Banh My als Snack! Das Essen war auch komplett ungewürzt, auch wenn alles wahrscheinlich frisch war. Das Schiff war schon etwas älter, was aber eher positiv war. Es hatte einen gewissen Charm und die Zimmer waren auch ausreichend sauber. Die Aktivität am zweiten Tag bestand darin, sich eine Höhle anzuschauen. Sehr interessant und ein cooler Insta-Spot! Wir können die Tour definitiv empfehlen, es ist aber schon sehr touristisch ausgelegt und das Essen ist ein starker Negativpunkt. Nochmal wiederholen würden wir es aber auch nicht.
