We did the tour of the ceramic village with the guides and driver Tuna and Snow. Was fantastic, my mom and I loved it. Was nice to get out of central Hanoi, esp the old quarter and get some more insight on other facets of Vietnamese industries. Got to see both modern ceramic production (stunning stuff) and an ancient set up. Both tuna and snow spoke fantastic English and were good drivers. Super open, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. Thank you so much again - was a highlight so far

As motorcyclists, we really enjoyed this tour and marvelled at our riders/ guides Huy and Dong's ability to safely navigate the chaos of Hanoi's streets.
It was so lovely to get out into the countryside and see how farmers live.
We had the most amazing lunch and then a beautiful rest stop by a lake in the afternoon.
We would thoroughly recommend this tour!

Q was the best guide I had and I had many excursions on my wonderful trip. His English was great and he was nice to converse with. He is personally interested in hearing your stories and building a personal relationship. His knowledge of Vietnam’s history and culture obviously is great. Thank you Q!

Worth every penny. Best experience.
Oggy and Quang were amazing, fun, knowledgeable and safe riders.

The weather was not great, so after checking with us, our guide and driver Q & Q picked us up with a jeep instead. It was an amazing way to get out of Hanoi just for a few kilometers and see the rice fields, the ancient citadel city and a cemetery. Guide Q was very knowledgeable and witty. He spoke English really well, and told us a lot about history, architecture and customs. He would try and answer our every question and was in for a joke as well. Driver Q was also great, steering us through the traffic with ease. The lunch was lovely and the lotus tea break was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!

An awesome experience visiting the ceramic village and driving through the countryside on the outskirts of Hanoi. Johnny was a great guide and very knowledgeable. He is also an excellent and very safe driver. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Mary and Snow were really knowledgable and were eager to answer any questions that we had. My friend has a curiosity for local folk mythology and Snow had loads of great stories which she loved. The bike riding was really fun and we soon got over our fears. The tour felt quick paced and we saw lots. A highlight for us was visiting a local man who chatted to us, fed us tea and peanut candies among his collection of rescued ceramics.

All of our guides were very friendly and we felt very safe on the backs of our scooters. It was great seeing the streets of Hanoi, the beautiful countryside, a very interesting ceramic facility, and the visit into a local's home (with great conversation with him - fascinating!!!). This tour was exceptional all-around and we highly recommend.

So much fun on the back of a bike in the very safe hands of this crew. Great way to see the countryside and you get to experience the artistry of the area which is ceramics. Even have the chance to throw a pot in the village. Lunch was provided as well an was delicious.

This was an amazing trip with Tam as my guide. Nice getting to talk with him about his local life in Hanoi. I especially appreciated getting to sit down with a local and have some tea and rice wine while learning about ceramic making. I would recommend this to any other solo travellers also as it is possible you may make a connection with someone else on the trip to spend your day with.

I have a wonderful tour. Tam Nguyen is the best. Learn a lot from history, pottery , the old town. The lunch and egg coffee was delicious. The best thing about this tour was the ride. Thanks so much for a great day.

Jackie and his team were super friendly and welcoming. They’re knowledge about Hanoi, it’s culture and people is just enormous. Following the mantra „we‘ll make you feel like locals“ we experienced insights and conversations you normally don’t have as a tourist. Highly recommended!

I was lucky to have Jackie as my guide on our Russian motorcycle.
His local knowledge of the area and customs was superb
Jackie spoke excellent English
He guided me through the laneways of Bat Trang village and he introduced me to two local people who gave me an insight into daily life
Do not miss this experience
Jackie was brilliant

A nice trip with a friendly and welcoming rider, named Jackies. It was fun to ride on the old Russian motorbike, do some pottery, get tea with a local and good tips for seeing Hanoi.

Riding through unseen parts of Hanoi was fascinating. Tam and our other drivers were great guides. Tam knew a lot of interesting history. Riding the vintage bikes was a lot of fun. We enjoyed seeing the farming life. The food was amazing and plenty of it. Trying Vietnamese egg coffee, tasted great. We enjoyed the ceramic markets and having a go at making our own pot.

This excursion was fantastic. My boyfriend and I are in our 30s and 40s and pretty fit. Not that it matters that much but you need to be comfortable riding on the back of the bike going through the chaotic traffic of Hanoi and on some back roads. Probably not good for timid people. We loved meeting a local at the ceramic town and having tea and candy with him. Our guide's name was John. He was engaging and fun to be with and quite knowledgeable. The lunch place was also amazing and The Hidden Gem coffee shop he took us to was also terrific! One recommendation is to bring smaller bills/dong to tip.

I made this trip in early December. It has been wonderful. The motorbikes are great and with Dory I had a great guide. She has a great knowledge about many things, always a big smile and is a very safe driver. We went to several places (pottery, farming site, an old village at the banks of the red river and were also invited to the house of an older vietnamese man, who is collecting funny potteres). Also the food and coffee was superb.
If you ever thought about doing this trip: Stop thinking and book it. You will love it.

Snow is an extraordinary guide. As she led us through markets, plantations, restaurants, and neighborhoods, she’s connected to local people, who smile seeing her coming. Her tour gives you access to off-the-beaten path locales, where real people live, with background information about how they live day-to-day life. Definitely book with confidence.

Simply put this was the best tour not just in Hanoi but Ho Chi Minh too. Happy Kien went above and beyond to ensure the tour was exceptional. He truly loves his job. Super friendly and approachable without being overbearing, knowledgable and fun to travel with. The additional unexpected treats such as visiting a locals house for tea and rice wine, the local smoking cafe and the clay pot making all made this a 5 star tour. Most importantly you know you are in safe hands on the Minsk with him, which on the busy streets of Hanoi is really important. Can’t thank you enough *****

You don’t have to spend much time in Hanoi before you realize how challenging the traffic situation appears to be. This tour gives you the opportunity to be right in the thick of it!
I got to take this tour with John, Dory, Tran, and the tour agency owner Tommy. We had a blast!
I was picked up at my hotel, from there we made our way through the streets of the Old Quarter before heading across town and out into the fields. We passed through fields of banana trees, kumquat trees, papaya trees, corn, and vegetables.
After a quick breakfast of Vietnamese pancakes and tea, we visited a residential area and were welcomed into the 17th century home of a retired ceramics factory owner. The gentleman shared stories about the house, the factory, the village, and invited us to try his garlic wine and his herbal wine (both were fantastic!).
Next we visited the ceramics manufacturing village of Bát Tràng, learned about the ceramics industry, and made our own ceramic souvenir.
Finally we returned to Hanoi for coffee and a light lunch.
It was a perfect day to be out on a motorcycle. Even though my butt got a little numb 😁, John & Dory were expert drivers and I never felt in any danger.
If you don’t mind sitting on the back of a motorcycle for several hours then you will really enjoy this tour!
